PERRY BATP I won't recommend uhaul to anyone. I got a 26ft truck which the steer axle broke off while driving hitting a brand new bmw and leaving me and my kids stranded over 5 hours. The tow dolly I had to take back to get sprayed with WD40 . The site manager Sharon agreed to refund me but can't be reached after promising to call me back after dealing with a customer. I call placed on hold 10 mins call back just to be hung up on. Then trust to get a email that I owe a late fee for broke down equipment that had to be towed to and from my house. GTFO y'all gotta be kidding me

DEMARIO HWe used our u-haul storage units for the launch of our business. Our greatest frustration was the inability to access our units -- especially on Monday mornings when we had to readjust our processes to be able to send our crews out on Mondays. Both front entrances were blocked practically every Monday by returning vehicles. We also faced frequent blockages on one or more routes within the facility during the week as vehicles were left parked blocking driveways. Finally, we had an agreement with the manager when we first moved in that we could use the u-haul dumpster for shrink wrap and other debris from jobs. That right was revoked a few months ago, providing the final straw that made operating there untenable.

WINSTON GMissing lights inside the unit and outside
alex a | Expérience générale1. The tires were way below the safety rate regarding PSI. I had to pay to fill all four tires with air. Front tires were below 40 and should have been 65. The rear tires were around 60 and should have been at 80. This is a terrible safety situation and unacceptable. 2. The person who handed over the truck started it and said it was ready to go. If I hadn't stopped to ask him where he put the keys, I would've driven off without them. I had to find him to get the truck keys in his pocket. 3. The service person had no idea about the cargo space differences between the trucks. 4. When I asked to see the inside of another truck to compare cargo space, it had not been cleaned out and had trash in it, but it had a zip tie on it, suggesting it was ready to go. 5. When I pressed the "OK" button on the steering wheel, it flipped off, and I couldn't use any of the driving features during my rental. 6. I shared that I was helping with relief efforts in NC after Hurricane Helene, bringing donations to Operation Airdrop. When I asked for any kind of monetary assistance, I was told that the corporate office of Uhaul was doing something directly. What did Uhaul do exactly to help? 7. Invest in 2-way radios for employees to talk to each other while outside, versus yelling at each other across the lot to communicate.
Alexandra KEverything was terrific, including the woman behind the counter who assisted me. My only comment is that I wasn't sure exactly where to park the truck when I returned. Maybe explain the return process to people and point out where to park when you return.

JUSTIN BAfter my minor son found a gun in the uhaul and police has to show up at my new home I was flabbergasted to see if was still charged. Even after the police had to hold it to investigate. Mind blown and I have yet to hear back from uhaul. The stress, embarrassment and lack of safety for my family and I was unbearable.

DAVID Si was charged a fee for returning this uhaul to a location in wilkesboro. hurricane helen had shut down highways on the way to hickory (where i was supposed to return it). this was out of my control and we were and are under a state of emergency. i returned this friday shortly after 5pm. it wasn't due until the next day in hickory. the print shop where i returned it was to be open until 6pm and i called a left a couple of messages inquiring about returning the uhaul there. no one bothered to return any of my messages. oh, then on top of it all - i was sent a text that the uhaul was going to be reported stolen!
GAIL CThis location was great. However, before getting there we had an absolutely horrible experience at the Denver, NC location they had moved our reservation to. Nobody was there, we called and got no answer. Were forced to call and lost an hour of our day struggling thru your customer service. I had to call again and remake a reservation to the original location. To move a bed for my son who survived Hurricane Helene and is displaced from Asheville. Awful.

NICK KOn a Saturday morning U-Haul at that location must that's a must have more than one agent working. There was a lot of people that were frustrated because they had scheduled to meet with their truck or trailer again on a Saturday morning.

WILLIAM DI was upset because I calculated 52 miles and got charged for 87. It took 3 tries to get a vehicle that didn't have a check engine light on, but you had to slam the doors to get the door open light out. Also the sun visor didn't have a bracket to secure it to be able to use it.

TERESA LI had the best experience at UHaul as I ordered a 26' for my 3BR huge move from Lake Norman to Greensboro,NC storage unit. UHaul kept me informed along the way. They also provided me with two men to load the truck.They did not stop loading and knew how to load a houseful of furniture (including fridge, washer/dryer) The truck was loaded within 2 hours (of course I had everything boxed, the beds broken down and dressers with mirrors wrapped).

This was more than twice and when you're trying to get access to your belongings it's rather inconvenient. Had to put a new card on file after that because they had no other info somehow. This use to be a great facility years ago when another lady ran it. But now, I would not recommend for the pricing of it. Phone calls barely get answered when you do call. Go somewhere else.

My unit didn't have working lights. 50 % of the time when I visited both gates were up, so security isn't super important.

Went through all the paper and paid but long story short, the unit I was assigned was full of stuff. Unfortunately for me, it was the last one. He offered me a 5 x 10, for the 5 x 10 price, which I declined. At the end of the day, he refunded my money and confirmed availability at a nearby Uhaul place. On the way there I saw Lakeside Mini storage. They had a larger unit that was cheaper than Uhaul's smallest unit. Go there. I did!!

Over the period of three years, I never once received a direct answer for any questions in less than 5 to 10 minutes....if they were even able to answer it. I had to make 4 trips to setup autopay. Couple the above with the entry gates being blocked 85 % of the time and the rented unit always having a truck blocking it. I would have to go to the office to ask them to move a truck every time so I could access my belongings.The unit was fine but slightly overpriced. The service is why I left. I would be embarrassed if this was my staff. They are friendly and polite, but lack the skills to do the simplest tasks. I have high reservations against recommending this location. Staff needs to be trained and tested or replaced. Wish I speak more highly of this experience.

I'm a regular at this location with 5 storage units and frequently getting trucks. During busy hours, it's very difficult to get in and out of the facility because of a lack of employees able to service the desk and check in vehicles at the same time. Again, the staff works very hard but there's only so much one or two people can do.

John B | Expérience généraleThe requirements for completing a rental should be disclosed at the time of reservation. It is very disconcerting to be told at check-in about the need for 2 alternate contacts, and for home owner's insurance policy details. For people who may not have permission to use other people's contact information in advance, this is a very uncomfortable and inconsiderate imposition. Further, it feels like a form of economic duress to refuse to complete the rental without the information for someone who does not have these alternate contacts. These type of requirements could easily be noticed in advance or during the reservation process and a customer could make a decision about how they wish to proceed. At the time of check-in, the customer often has their belongings in a rental moving vehicle with cost implications, as well, they may not have any other option for storage which forces them to find some way to comply with your requirements. They literally have little or no choice except to agree to your terms at that point. That feels very much like duress.

Seems the wrong kind of paint was used on the porous material on an exterior wall. It began rotting off and got white paint dust all over my items and myself. I had to breathe in the paint dust while clearing out my unit. The place was very expensive. Furthermore the entryway was most commonly blocked by large uhaul trucks and trailers so I would have to wait to access the unit for someone to come move the large vehicles.

The truck drop-off at the front is a flipping nightmare. Trucks being returned, quickly clog up the drive way in and out of the storage yard area. I am literally terrified I will be trapped in the storage yard because of the trucks cluttering the front parking/drop-off area. I would still recommend this facility to anyone!!!
