Customer service was top notch.
i had reserved on another location, for a mobile pick up, when I got there and started the process, I got a message that mobile pick up was not available at that location, that forced me to go to another one further away, in addition to the ridiculous charges for miles, I had to add more miles to my bill due to fail in your system.
Every time I've been to this location has been a good experience. Haven't had any issues with picking up trailers since the team working here has been so helpful.
They didn't check my check in until the next day almost 12 hours later and I had to call around 6 times to speak to someone in the specific store
The staff were super helpful and friendly. The place was organized and clean.
Great staff, but they could use one more staff member, preferably their only function being to help people to either pickup or drop off equipment. Other than that, awesome service! Thank yo-U-Haul!!!

Your storage unit it gave us cockroaches BAD! Hated almost everything about that place! Except for manager Casey she was the most helpful person there and was very understanding and caring employee!
The people working on 12/31 morning shift were rude, unhelpful. The lady kept getting on her cell phone, refused to show me where the truck was, tried to send me out to the back to hunt the truck down, only to end up sending a co-worker out back, and then found that the truck was actually ready under the front canopy. They refused to complete the vehicle inspection with me, and the images that were uploaded by them were inaccurate. I had to take photos myself and upload them. I would not recommend this Uhaul location to anyone based off their attitudes and behavior. The gentleman working in the afternoon when I dropped the truck off at 4:30 pm 12/31 was VERY polite, friendly, and helpful by contrast.
The staff was rude and made me walk around the entire building for the truck and did not even tell me which one it was. After trying the key on several trucks, it was blocked in by another truck. Tried to call for them to move the truck and they phone call wouldn't go through. I had to walk all the way back around to get someone to move the truck. It was horrible experience to what was already a stressful day!
My truck was very dirty. The back hadn't been swept out and the cup holders missed a few cleanings. We had to walk 300 m to the truck because they weren't pulled around front. I never had an experience like this with UHAUL.
Very Easy to work with. Everything I needed in one stop. Very friendly and helpful.

Location did not have the truck I needed (even though I received a call the day before confirming they had it). The representative didn't seem to care and just looked at me dead eye. She tried calling another location that didn't have the truck as well. I had to mention about getting a different sized truck. They had a 26 foot one which I had to accept. She ended up charging me twice for the truck because she forgot to add a dolly and furniture pad. They also didn't have the appliance dolly I ordered so again I had to settle for the regular one. The whole experience was horrible and I will look else where for my moving needs.
The staff and store are great but the truck I had is in dire need of assistance. I truly did not feel safe at all.

Ordered a 15ft truck. Wanted Lillington location. They sent us to Sanford due to availability. No truck when we got here. Only had a 26ft truck. My son was very upset to have to drive such a big truck to downtown Charlotte.
The Representative changed my drop off location without consulting me nor discussing with me and when the drop off location called to have it fixed that same person put them on hold and never returned. The customer service is awful. He also never gave me a copy of my contract so I didn't know what happened until I returned the equipment.
First staff member told me we could have our Uboxes moved to storage area anytime during business hours and no need to schedule ahead of time. Second employee told me we needed to give a 24 hour notice, so I gave 72 hour notice. Showed up at 0730 and staff member informed us forklift operator doesn’t start until 8:30. Wish they would have told me this when I scheduled. Then staff member couldn’t find our storage unit reservation so we spent time getting that set up. 8:30 comes and no sign of forklift operator so employee texts him and was told he’s on his way. Operator did not arrive until 9:10or later. We waited until 9:30 and no sign of boxes, went to office and no one told him we were waiting for boxes. He was very polite and got the boxes moved quickly. Staff members need trained on dealing with Ubox customers because every time I spoke to someone, I was told something different. I have also tried for 2 weeks to talk to Kasey about getting a discount and I’m always told she’ll be in at such and such time, but when I call she’s not there. I spent 2 hours waiting around for our Uboxes due to poor communication by your staff. I would like a 20% monthly discount for the inconvenience your team caused my family. Thank you, Sandy Henry
That place is so nicely kept I wanted to move in.
I was charged three times on three different dates and returned the van back the same day. I have yet to receive a refund and the people in the facility were not helpful at all just told me what they couldn't do. I will never use U-haul again and will be reporting this to tye BBB as well

Highly impressed and pleased with my first U-Haul experience. Equipment was obviously well maintained and the store was well stocked and organized. Jennifer was excellent! She was very friendly, professional, and did not mind explaining procedure and equipment usage. She truly went above and beyond in the simplest ways and it was definitely appreciated.

Truck and trailer were not “checked in†as having been returned on the day we returned them but rather entered into their system as returned the following morning after we contacted UHaul customer service. Mileage was incorrectly keyed upon their check-in process and our credit card was in turn charged for “excessive mileageâ€. We had to go in person for the error to be corrected given we did not take pictures of the final mileage, my husband had to explain there was no way we went over 300+ miles, they finally realized the mileage had been input incorrectly via a tying error. Truck was dropped off Monday, it is now Friday and we are still awaiting a refund of the fee charged to our card by employee error.
Not one employee was wearing a mask at a time when coronavirus numbers are higher than ever in this county. Completely unacceptable. Since they clearly do not care about the health and safety of customers, I will not return.
Great Customer Service
I was standing in the office for nearly 10 minutes before the service provider drove up in a uhaul pickup. Came into the store to assist me and I had to ask him if he had a mask and to put it on because he was not wearing one; he then went into the back and emerged with one shortly thereafter. He was not friendly at all and was very short. He gave me the key for the rental, and told me it was parked around back. I had to figure out how to get there. The truck was blocked in so while he was moving vehicles from the returns to the parking area he had to get the key for the truck in front of mine which took him multiple times to find the right one and move it so I could finally get on my way; wasted another 10 minutes waiting for him. I will not be using this location again for my rental needs.
All the staff, especially the general manager were outstanding, courteous, and very professional. I don't think there is anything more to improve the U-haul services at the 2701 S. Horner Blvd., Sanford, NC location. The business hours are excellent. The ease of reservation, pickup, and drop-off in a quick and timely manner is absolutely fantastic. Your staff are very well informed, and work as one unit and customers, at least for me, I felt like that I was important, and not just a number for rental services. I will definitely rent from U-haul again. Thank you to all the staff!!!
No masks, No social distancing, Ask for an open 5x8 without ramp and get covered trailer. Returned trailer within 3 hours but get call 2 days later asking if we needed more time. Will not be back.
Pricing was not the same when I got to the locate as the quote on line. Then I had to walk all the way around the building to go get he truck. Once I returned it, I was chagred $9 more than when I picked it up and only went one mile over what I estimated. Not very happy with process. truck was fine and served it's purpose.
Hand truck was old needed upgrade but still did the job.
Access for customers vehicles should be as expected next to building but, when uhaul vehicles are returned and other uhaul vehicles are around, they should not be near building. Customer vehicles can back out easily. Would be nicer if business was located on side road rather than off main strip.
This location is ALWAYS under staffed. We have to wait for an extremely long time while 1 person is attempting to do EVERYTHING. Please staff this location better; it is extremely busy location!

There was rap feces all over my furniture and drawers very nasty I as assured there would be no mice rats or roaches if I paid for the temperature controlled rooms. I have to throw away thousands of dollars of furniture
Double check trailers tire pressure. This will give your customer a piece of mind
The entire staff at this Uhaul facility are excellent, helpful and friendly. The door in one of our storage units was out of its track and we couldn't open it. One of the employees helped us open it, but we couldn't close it. Had to empty it out, the same day we paid for it. The manager did provide us with a refund.
I could not get the online system to work and the staff (no masks!) said it often doesn't. I had to hike around a very long building to get to the rental. I did that this summer in a super hot day and this time in the rain. I am looking for my rental next week from a company that accommodates parking near the vehicle or staff brings the vehicle around for me. I am torn between marking yes or no on recommending. You should have a “yes, with reservations†option.
I was there to return the truck at 8:50am the place was suppose to open at 9:00am no one was on site than as each car pulled up I thought that was the employee no such luck ! The guy than pulls up after 9:15am and no apology for being late just starts who's here to drop off etc never again uhaul is the worse

We reserved online and filled out all necessary paperwork beforehand. When we arrived she wrote up the entire order and then couldn't find the keys. Then she said she didn't know how to change to a different truck and she couldn't reach anyone on the phone to ask so she cancelled the whole thing. Then she wrote up a different truck which she had keys for. Then the guy who cleans the trucks walks in and he has the keys for the original truck so she changes back to that truck. We spent more then 1/2 an hour trying to get settled. Then we went out to the truck and check for damages etc as instructed by the website. The signal was terrible and we couldn't upload any pictures. The mileage on the truck was 10,000 more then the website said. The gas said full but it was 3/4. We went back in and they said just take a picture of the dashboard. Don't worry about it and just save it on our phone pictures. They saw us outside struggling with all of it and she was outside smoking and he was just hanging out. He helped when we asked again and wrote the correct mileage and gas on our paperwork and signed it. When we brought it back about 5 hours later someone else was there and we asked her to check the truck and she said don't worry about it. Not good customer service. It was a stressful rental.

Have the vehicles in front for customers. I had to walk around the entire building and property to find my rental vehicle. Or have a runner bring the vehicle to the front at time of rental.

Safety chain broken on dolly and no wiring had to hook up myself. Should of never been rented out with broken chain not safe. allowing shackle to slide off unit and almost lost it.

Young lady initially wrote the contract incorrectly...when I pointed out the error a young man accomplished the task .. he was much more experienced. Printer was not working so no printed contract available. facilities very neat, clean and organized.

Correct the mileage when asked so I don't get overcharged for miles I didn't use
After searching for my storage locker for 15 minutes even with the map I found it to not have elevator access for the second floor as well as there was no lock inside the unit as stated in the instructions. At this time I was not able to move into the storage that was rented. I would like to be contacted by management to resolve this.
There is a big deal that if you rent or lock-in a truck rental the storage is free for the 1st month (it also can be rented only month). I locked-in the truck on Aug 8th having the storage as well. Yesterday during the check-in the system was charging full cost. Needs to be reviewed.
This facility was fantastic. Everything was very clean and secure. The staff was great and willing to help when needed.
Anthony was very professional and he went way above and beyond with helping us with the storage we required. He thoroughly explained everything about the storage units. The storage facility is very well maintained. I will be using his Uhaul facility for my future needs and will highly recommend it to family and friends.

Have knowledgeable veteran staff in your office at all times to wait on assist and help customers. It is managements responsibility to properly and thoroughly train individuals to do their job effectively In order for them to effectively thoroughly and efficiently take care of customers without delay. Please and thank you work the evening and weekends and help your employees be better the excuse I’m new is no excuse at all!
Anthoney was great his current employees not so much. You can tell where they were lacking the same knowledge and customer service as Anthoney. If he could be duplicated it would be an great experience fore everyone.

Everything was great. I only stopped renting the unit because, like a lot of people during this current crisis, I lost most of my income streams and could no longer afford the cost.

All the above are true, however the actual customer service was not friendly. Once it was our turn the gentleman behind the counter did not say good morning or even say how can I help you. He gave us a what do you want look and then no thank you or have a good day.
The turnover rate was high and lack of communication. I had tons of mouse poop through my storage unit. I started making complaints 8 months ago and nothing was ever done. I’m extremely dissatisfied with everything. I would report it to the person inside and was told a manager would contact me. I wouldn’t get a return call. I even made the complaints through customer service and they would send an email to the site manager. As per usual no return call. I paid way too much money for the terrible service from the staff and the fact that the mice had torn stuff up and pooped on my stuff. Moved everything out on 2/22/2020. At this point I will not recommend unwilling to anyone. The experience was the worst I have ever had with a storage place. Please contact me if you have questions. 919-353-4424. But I’m sure this will be not get the correct attention also.

My unit was too far from an exit.
Staff was lazy and non-professional both in person and on the phone. I would never recommend this place to any of my Sanford friends or family.
Very happy with my experience there. Leslie was nice and helpful even though she was the only one there. Very impressed with the speed she loaded my U-boxes, helped customers, and got me on my way.

Very clean and well maintained, but some of my belongings did have rodent dropping on the boxes, so there is a need for better traps probably. There was no evidence of any damage that I saw right away
