The storage facility locker came with a k lock but I used my own lock so I do not want to be charged for this. I will return the unused lock on Monday.

These guys charged me extra money and provided me with wrong policy information and and then I went in person to store they said they are refunding but I never got the money. Staff was very rude

I was very happy with the service that Levi provided. The location is very nice and the truck was well maintained. I was very disappointed with the charges. I was double charged for the blanket rentals. I requested one dozen but I was charged for two dozen. I had rented the truck for the full day (5pm) and I was not able to return before the store closed at 5pm. I was about one hour late and was charged for a 2nd full day for the truck and insurance. The extra charges totaled $65.00. Not the end of the world, but this was not explained to me at the time of the rental. If I would have known that, I would have utilized the truck for another day.

My first Impression, Overall, I am very SATISFIED with the staff/ uhaul service. Although there were some minor back and forth communications with regards to tracking the Ubox with the customers Contract#/Reservation order# where the customer's name not showing in their record not until the staff asked for the customers phone# and then, get connected and talk to the right person. This is especially true for long distance delivery. Anyways, this is only minor wrinkles that can be fix. I wanted to thank, Alejandro, U-Haul/ubox fro Santa Clara CA. Jay, Leland in Des Plaines, IL and the staffs of U-Haul/ubox for providing excellent customer service. I hope you will be consistent and I will not hesitate to make referrals to my coworkers, friends and families. ***** stars

Super easy drop off with a nice visible key box. When I called to get drop off information the guy gave exact instructions and it was very easy, five minutes. Nice location at St Thomas Expressway and the 101. Merci!

I booked a 10x10x8 drive up unit online. When I arrived, I was told there were no drive up units, just inside 10x10x6. My hands were tied because I had 2 full vans that needed to be unloaded. I already qualified for 1 free month because of a previous truck rental. The guy at the desk could offer me no discount or other incentive for the error. I will try to move out as quickly as I can & will not be recommending uhaul. My one criteria was drive up availability & it was clearly confirmed on my original reservation.

I had a very positive experience with renting a uhaul from this location overall; however, I think it would have been helpful for someone to offer to show me the different features of the uhaul truck, so that I know how to adjust my mirrors, find hazard lights, turn on heater, etc. I had a hard time figuring out all the different buttons and what they mean.

There are no lights inside the storage units, so when using it in dark it gets difficult.

Make sure your personnel tell the customer exactly what the rental consists of. I'm sorry I didn't read the fine print in mine when I rented the trailer from you. The people were nice but their information was lacking. The rest of my story is pretty much my bad luck but it became the story because I was not informed that I couldn't drop a trailer with the 23-ft van that I also rented that day I was. I was informed that I couldn't drop the trailer with the van and had to bring it back to my location in Santa Clara after renting the truck that I could drop off in my new town of Pine Grove California. So I had to bring the trailer all the way back and waste a day which turned out to be 2 days because my truck blew a head gasket over the Dublin grade and I had to drop the trailer there I called them told them to pick it up because there's no way I could get it to him and I had to get my truck towed back to Pine grove. It cost me almost $1 000 to get it back to my my home. This all wouldn't have happened had I not have to have the drive another $150 Mi to bring the fucking trailer back. So you can see where I'm a little pissed off due to the lack of information. Before I drove out the gate with I already hooked up trailer on the rented van I was informed to have the trailer back by tomorrow or get charged more I couldn't believe it that they rendered me a trailer that I had to return when I didn't have to return the truck. I just kind of figured that they would know that but obviously they didn't and I didn't read the fine print and I reluctantly drove out with the trailer knowing I had to bring it back after moving all my shit to Pine Grove California. I've had one fuck of a week already and you guys just profounded it. Needless to say I'm screwed out of time money patience and anything else you can think of. I know I will be billed for all this crap but are you going to pay for my head gaskets? That's a stupid question. I think that unless something is rectified or at least I don't get a bill in the mail which I think I probably will, I wouldn't recommend your company to my worst enemy. Nice clean good good equipment but your return policy at least something to be desired. Well here I am off to with the heads off my truck now to do the head gasket that probably would to happen had I stayed in town my new town Pine Grove California and not had to go back to Santa Clara California to return your fucking trailer! Thank you Jim v i e r r a please correspond if possible. I'd like to see what you have to say about it. Sorry you had to pick up the trailer hope it didn't get stolen but if it did I've had insurance on it. Did you read that fine print? Later

You can't abandon what I've been through the last 3 days. All because you your return areas I could drop a truck the truck I rented from you anywhere in California but I had to bring back the trailer 400 miles later my truck is blown up your trailers and Livermore and I'm pissed but that's just me you want your trailer come and get it I can't get it to you anymore cuz I blew my truck up moving in it 400 miles back to you thank you U-Haul you've ruined my day and probably my week I hopefully not anymore than that. We LOVE this location & the staff. The only hiccup we had in our U-Box was moved here and no one told us. We didn't receive any notification. Surely a larger Uhaul thing- not specific to this location. But the time before this we requested access and it was really scary to show up and learn our belongings weren't at the location where we last left them. All worked out tho and we are happy. Merci.

The last two times I have rented from this location within weeks of each other I had poor experiences. Both times I had mobile pick up and both times there was no truck for me. This last time the had to change my truck type completely and when asked if they could help compensate some due to me having to drive more miles having to do multiple loads they said no basically take the truck or leave it. Very disappointed in U-Haul lately as I have been a loyal customer and rent a lot from them as I use the trucks for my business. Definitely considering starting to use another company.

After I did the walk-around, I started up the truck and could not back it out of the parking space after I put it in reverse. The transmission had failed. They gave me another truck right away and made sure everything was working properly before I left the facility. I appreciated their prompt help.

Upon checkout I was informed that my monthly auto payment would NOT be prorated. NO refund of the amount unused. They said maybe they would have if it was within a couple days but it was seven days into the month. So I lost three weeks of rental money and they are able to now make money off me. Really unfair!! I tried to discuss this but they did not care …..

You mentioned that it is on 1st floor But you did not mention that the unit is above the existing unit (like bunk bed, one above the other one) And, I had to take ladder to shift my storage to that unit. It was so stressful and bad experience that I had a shoulder and back pain after that. Overall it was a very very bad experience.

Upon returning the U-Haul. I was first in line for the return and I waited about 10 minutes for a representative to come out. Another U-Haul customer pulled up behind me to return their vehicle as well. The representative went directly to them instead of me. To let him know I was there waiting I waved at him and said excuse me. So he can be aware of my presence. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he might have just overlooked the U-Haul and made a simple mistake. The gentleman walked by me without saying a word after I asked him if I can be assisted. I had to wait an additional five minutes for him to come back just to tell me oh you can just leave and not have to sign anything. I'll send you the receipt within 10 minutes. I trusted him so I left. it's been over six hours and I still have yet to see my final receipt.

Trailer safety chains were broken. Drove all the way to my destination before I noticed, so I couldn't transport my car home, and they didn't give me a refund. U-haul do not check their equipment before renting it. Safety rubbers were also missing from the hooks. When I complained to the staff about it, they said I should have transported my car without the chain, which is illegal and dangerous. They did not take my complaints seriously. Be very careful renting from here because it's a safety risk

I returned the cargo van within two hours, although paid for 24 hours rent. Van had little dry leaves and few puzzle pieces. Two minutes air blower probably made it clean but I was charged $25 for clean up. This is after I told the person at the desk that let us check it out together. He told me that it is not needed. Had I known that I will be charged like this I would have insisted to check it together, and if he would have said that here will be charges I could have cleaned it in two minutes myself.

I never visited the Santa Clara facility, i used the Uhaul location in Fremont. Ordering online had issues going through the system, but making a reservation in person went well when I got to talk with an employee familiar with the process. All the logistic schedule people, and especially the drivers were excellent. The drivers were impressive with their reliability and efficiency dropping off and delivering the container.

The security is way better than all the other storages in the area, staff is friendly yet vigalent, and the hours for access a bit wider. It is a much better experience than I have had at other local storages. Another plus is that they sell the materials I might need & have rental vehicles on hand for when i am ready to locate.. It is so much better that I almost want to keep it a secret, but they have been good to me as such, a good.review is the best way I can repay the kindness. 5 stars and thumbs up!

I had a relatively small moving job that I didn't feel worth hiring professional movers. I wanted to rent a U-Haul truck but was a little bit frightened of driving it, as well as worried about how easy it would be to load/unload stuff from it. Fortunately Derrick at U-Haul Santa Clara very kindly helped me pick the Cargo Van that would make my job pretty easy, as well as walking me through how to use it including things like how to use the camera for backing up, which is different from driving regular sedan cars. He also helped me pick the right dolly for my need. Now I just finished moving and have returned the cargo van. Everything went very smoothly. I can't thank enough for the help I get from Derrick and how easy it is to rent a truck / cargo van from U-Haul. I'm sure I will use it again in the future and definitely recommend it to others too!

Derrick was super duper extra helpful in helping me get the perfect unit when I realized the first unit I was assigned had a massive pipe overhead that impacted much of the space, couldn't be happier.

When we moved in there were many small gnats/flies on the premises. When we moved out I didn't notice anymore flies, but there was a lot of spider webs and saw dust in our unit. The pest control needs to be improved and perhaps consider concrete floors instead of the uneven wood flooring on the 2nd floor. Overall we had a decent experience.

I was given two units to rent free for 30 days. Yesterday when I wanted to move out I was told that my name was not attached to one of them. Nobody can tell me why and I am worried that I will be charged later when someone figures out why my name was not attached I find the person that gave me unit 2766 unable to understand his job!

The security is poor. The main access door to the facility is open to anyone (not access controller by passcode), I set off the alarm on my unit 3 times when moving in & no Uhaul personnel ever showed up, no UHaul personnel responds to the help button on the numerous "Help" machines located in the facility.

Everything was great until the employee helping me mentioned a free month of storage with rental. This was my second U-Hual rental to take my things out of the storage that I paid 2 moths for. No one mentioned the free first month when I rented my first U-Haul truck despite ordering them together (truck and storage). I left because of convenient location ( I moved to Fremont, CA and need a closer storage due to more traffic congestion near Santa Clara ) and rental rates. I would have stay on this unit if the rental fees went down to compensate for the costs of driving back-and-forth between workplace/home and U-haul storage.

Cleanliness was great the entire time I stored my belongings there except for one time but it was the fault of another sloppy customer that made a mess that my family and I had to step over in order to get by a bunch of dirt and garbage on the floor in front of another storage unit in the aisle. Other than that I want to thank you guys for a great clean experience. I left my previous storage unit public storage because they were dirty and customer service was awful.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Will work with you and take time to answer all your questions. This facility has top notch security for each storage unit. plus security cameras thought out the entire building. With large monitors in the office.that scans the building and a monitor that shows when you check-in and disarm the unit. and check-out and arms the unit. as well as shows when you open and close your unit along with a time stamp. it will show when the unit as a alarm. There is always staff on hand. I notes that there are intercoms though out the building to call the front desk. I am very impressed this facility. the cost is good. There are restroom located with in the storage unit areas. scent's it is a U-haul facility/ location that means you can rent moving trucks and trailers there.

I was using Public storage for years and this was my first experience with U-haul Storage. I have to say it was far superior in every way. The cleanliness is unparalleled. You could eat off the floors! Even though my space was on the second floor and required elevator access, it was still easy to do with the carts which were always available, easy to find and not all banged up. I was really impressed with this storage facility and would definitely use U-Haul again for all of my moving needs. I would suggest pro-rating and offering a refund or a credit towards another U-Haul product if you move out in the middle of the month and paid for a full month. BreAnna is amazing, she really cares about the customer and understands how stressful moving is and goes way above and beyond to make our experience as pleasant as possible.

I wanted to return the locker as it is no longer useful for me, but it could be useful for the next person renting the Uhaul storage. Please see if you can have a locker take-back program for a nominal amount or full refund to save resources and prevent wastage of lockers.

Everything was fantasric except that I am highly sensitive to mold (beyond what is normal) and the bare plywood base of the unit gave me trouble. Bare plywood often comes slightly moldy from manufacturing so it is not the fault of UHAUL and would be fine for anyone who is not highly sensitive. There was zero hassle or fees for cancelation so even though this did not work out for me it was still a great experince

I was assured by an older woman with long hair, who helped us with our move out walkthrough that everything was done. Two days later there's a charge for the storage unit. I called the store and got put through to general customer service. They said my unit still showed occupied. They also called the store directly and the manager. No answer and no one ever followed up with me. Unit was only canceled because I disputed the charges with my bank. They were going to just keep charging me for an empty unit.

Storage unit easy to find and move items into. The staff is approachable and helpful. The negative, the incessant alarms sounds when opening the unit even after I repeatedly confirmed with staff that I disarmed the unit correctly before opening. I was told it was a facility issue but it was annoying when it would not turn off quickly. Also, I had some issues with after hours access card swipe machine but eventually got in after swiping a few times.

I dont remember the name of the woman was rude in person and then called me hours after i checked out and moved all of our stuff today. it is the first time at this location that i had an unpleasant conversation. for reference she is possibly hispanic with long chest length hair everyone else has been wonderful. she called to tell me we shouldn't have gotten our unit checked out at the price quoted? it is the weekend before christmas you think staff would be extra nice. I let her know that previously I have left a five star YELP review and I hope she has a great weekend. other than her need to assert her authority i still love this location and all the other staff.

December 20, 2023 U HAUL, SANTA CLARA, LAURELWOOD: The ONLY problem was at the actual, physical time and date of check-in. While the clerk was pleasant, courteous, and eager to show us available units and very basic operational guidelines, perhaps he was rushed. Some of the essential contractual data entered was either omitted, or not entered correctly. And perhaps, I should have caught the errors. At this writing, I have yet to-do a "final close" with you (U-Haul), but I do intend to do so on or before 12/26/2023. Thank you. Richard Merk

Thank you especially to gentleman who loaned me the allen wrench when my tv stand had to be taken apart. I had no tools and was stuck it wouldn't fit properly n my vehicle without the top attached to here tv sits on stand so thank you sir a million you deserve a raise for taking the time to help a stressed out customer!!!! Staff doesn't know which lockers are available. I had to go to reception multiple times just to get a storage room. And again to get the free lock. It is exhausting to walk all the way multiple times while staff could have helped.

Missed the guy I've worked with every year when we've moved our daughter out of college and into college. Big African American guy - -- super competent, always had a smile, never got ruffled, always helped us figure out the best way to do things. The new people at the counter were irritated they had to come to the counter and were trying to just "check the box." When I asked about their colleague, they said he had transferred to another store. Bring him back! ;-)

Really loved the store managers customer service and her personality. Very informative and provided excellent explanation and made my experience at this storage facility enjoyable. Sadly the space wasn't what I was expecting and didn't actually continue the process but by far the best customer service by the manager and the young gentle who helped me after. They're very professional and tried to help best as possible. Can't say the same for the Senter Road Uhaul in San Jose. I made a reservation with them for a moving truck and when I went to pick up the truck a 26', they had canceled my reservation for 1 hour because it was the only way I could reserve the truck without first getting through to me. They called me but I never responded so that does not mean they could cancel my reservation. Very disappointed with Senter Road Uhaul in San Jose but very happy with Laurelwood Uhaul in Santa Clara.

Should put more signage/maps inside the storage building because it is easy to get lost if customers lease multiple storage units. Hope the hours can be later than 10 PM. If safety is an issue, install more security cameras and emergency switches.
