Here is my experience. I scheduled a rental with contactless pickup. Got there at my scheduled time. Truck ID # was sent to my phone. Checked parking lot and no truck. Ran across busy street to other lot. No truck. Clicked that I couldn't find truck. Ran back across busy street to go to the office. New truck number comes up on phone. Search parking lot and no truck. Meanwhile my wife got a call that we were late returning our truck. When she told them we haven't even found the truck yet they hung up on her. Run back across busy street to other lot and find the truck. Click on phone that I found the truck. Phone says to get the key in the office. So much for contactless. Run back across street and get key. Run back across busy street to truck. Finish with pictures on phone. This process used up 30 minutes of my rental time. I will never rent from this place again. I used to rent Penske every Wednesday. I will be going back to them.Timothy H.

The inside of the windshield was not cleaned and fogged up extremely when it rained. We had to pull off to clean the inside so we could see. The defroster did nothing to clear the inside. It would have been beneficial to rent the truck with a full tank of gas instead of the 3/8 tank that we had.Larry S.

The only complaint I have is that we were in an emergency situation and only needed a unit for 5 days. We ended up only keeping it for 4. Quick and easy experience. I arrived late to pick up my cargo van and it was a non issue. All the staff was courteous and helpful. One comment that has nothing to do with this location and staff is maybe when calling a local location directly don't have multiple automatic answering services to go through, it's pretty infuriating when all you want to do is tell someone or leave a message that you're running late and you have to keep pressing 2 to even kind of get to where you're trying to reach.Christine K.

I reserved a 20 ft truck a month in advance. On Friday, June 25th, the afternoon prior to my moving date, I called UHaul and spoke to an associate to make sure everything was ready for my movers for the following morning. I was told everything was ready to go. When my movers arrived for the truck on Saturday morning, June 26th, they were told that the 20 ft truck was unavailable because a woman had not returned it a week prior. My movers were given a 15 ft truck and assured I would not be charged. The movers had to work 2,5 extra hours because the smaller truck required two trips. This put me over budget by over 200 $. Then, I checked my bank statement today to find I was charged 15,45 $ and 73,45 $. This is unacceptable. I did everything required to make sure my moving day ran smoothly and within budget. If the woman who had the 20 ft truck had not returned it for a week, why was I told the day before that everything was ready to go? I am livid and require a refund ASAP.Paul P.

Difficulty picking up truck, 2 1/2hr process, long wait times for customer service, clarified my order 3X with customer service prior to my moving day and was assured everything was ready and it was not. Charged a whole day, 146$ for 2 hr late return at 145am, which had it not been for the difficulty picking truck up, I would not have been 3hrs behind to begin with. Terrible experience.Jennifer B.

Both the manager and the yard guy were in bad moods this morning when I picked up my trailer. As in somewhat unprofessional. I'm still not sure what the issue was. The yard guy late in the day/return was great. He did his job, was pleasant about it. I'm just writing the AM experience off as a bad day. I booked online, It said I would get a phone call a few days before my scheduled pickup, I did not get a call. I reserved a truck from the green-ridge location, but had to go to the 7th Ave location adding an additional 10 miles round trip to my truck usage. And at $.89 a mile and on a budget I was slightly annoyed. So in response to your question. Better communication call and confirm the appointment and also notify me of the change. Had I not checked the app I would of been sitting at the green ridge location. Also if your going to change location due to availability compensate the client for additional miles. Or move a truck from one lot to the lot the scheduled pick up is at. Other than that U-Haul has provided me with positive customer experiences and hopefully will continue too. MerciJeremiah B.

Jim/Jake/and one other were very friendly. Rented a particular size unit months in advance however after flying in from out of state to get the storage unit rental they apparently only had one unit (smaller size) available (not sure of why Uhaul accepts reservations if units cannot be available). Jim was very understanding and helpful to ensure my fee was not greater than my reserved unit/fee but I did need to return when he was working to inquire about the adjustment because apparently the unit I was placed in was on the lower level thus more expensive despite being a smaller unit. I've seen chats/reviews with uhaul having similar situations where unit reserved was not available upon clients arrival (bad business model if I'm being honest) Second issue was corporate did not have my unit area programmed thus for my 3 day window to move my students dorm stuff into storage I was getting access denied when swiping in after hours and to no fault of their own the local staff could not fix as it needed to be programmed by headquarters in Arizona (ironically where I live) Overall I made due and had to work around my students finals week daytime schedule to make multiple trips to uhaul vs being able to do it through after hours access (because of above access denied). Apparently this was the only unit with this problem in the building Again staff was great, unit was clean (did have a rat trap in it but I assume that's in all lower levels despite being indoors and in temperature controlled areas)? But the reservation business model/lack of contingency options for my not so unique situation I would have expected more from uhaul and honestly for the accommodations I (as the client) had to make just to make my situation work because of a uhaul issue. I appreciate the opportunity to voice my experience and hope it may have a positive impact for change for the next uhaul client that shows up to the desk in the same or similar situation. A major plus for an older gentleman like me is the convenient location of a restroom in the storage areas. This storage was good except my stuff got a bit of mold as if water got on it possibly from upstairs when they mopped the floors. Light filtered through one section and that's where I found the moldy substance. I left a message but never got an answer. I couldn't get there in person to talk to a live person about it. We now have a bigger one more money with what we found as ponds in front of it filled with water after rain. We can't get out without one of us stepping into part of it. How do we load, unload without getting wet? Then there's the people who take over the isle with their dirt bikes, truck and little girls walking and playing around the dirt without shoes in their pajamas. I had to quickly move for military reasons and I had to change my order a few times and it just seemed every time I called I was bothering this particular guy, he would even sign over the phone, kinda rude if you ask me but there was this one guy I can't remember his name I think he was Spanish, he was amazing such a great guy! Staff members were all very rude to me. The only time they were nice was when I was signing up. Then told me I had to buy a special lock From them and when I was walking around a lot of lockers had regular locks. The staff was polite however I explained that I needed a storage space to fit a 2 bedroom and what was going in it in detail. When i went to load the space it was extremely to small and the next day i had to go back pay addtl money and get a new space and was only given 2 addtl hours with the truck. I will most likely use a different storage company if needed again.
