The staff is exceptionally good at customer service and I rent often from UHaul. They assisted with calculations on various scenarios, checked availability and cost of weekends vs midweek. They even helped with my silly iPhone to scan my license. It's 100 degrees here in Shillington, but these men keep their cool even on busy days. I like the pickup, on a Tuesday, for a 24 hour weekday trip to visit mostly, while helping family to gather the “downsizing debris” stored somewhere, and also many items from my parents' home, a little at a time. Rental: twenty bucks. Moving on my own time: Priceless.

Reservation was for noon. Showed up at 11:55am. Guy said trailer wasn't returned yet. Had my son and I sit on bench until 12:36 when he called the previous renter to see when trailer would be returned. Trailer was returned day before and sitting on lot aside of another trailer………wasted almost an hour on a bench while equipment was there.

So, according to the gas gauge guide, I should have had 3.something gallons put into the van. Went 43 miles. I did not add gas so I could make the return by closing. I was charged for 11 gallons of gas. How is that possible?

They charged me for 2 gallons of gas after I just put gas in the truck and the gas gauge was at the same level as when I picked up the truck. I could not check in on my phone since their internet was down.

Truck did not run well. The air conditioning does not work. The windshield wipers do not work. On the third day, the trucks key seized in the ignition so I had to waste gas idling the truck all day for fear of the battery dying and leaving us stranded.

I had a conflict that caused me to be late for my pick-up time. I could not find a way to contact the u-haul location to explain I would be late. Having a way to reach the local shop would be great.

Being a truck rental business I realize it's very difficult to thoroughly inspect vehicles between uses and a lot of people just don't respect other peoples belongings. My rental was only one model year old and it appeared to either have been in a front end collision or a previous renter completely freaked out on the climate controls. I respect what isn't mine the same way I respect my own items, I just wish others did too.

Why would send confirmation when your really are not confirming. Maybe you'll have a tuck, maybe not but you don't I know until 24-48 hours of your scheduled pickup after having a 30 day advance reservation. Then you leave people stuck driving 1,5 hours each way just to have a truck. Truck is then parked in for self pickup. No blankets or dolly's. Made the stress of moving so much worse.

The employee taking care of people was very friendly. Explained everything in detail. He even brought my est miles down. It was a local p/u and delivery. SS to Mohnton. Think I put 20 miles, he changed to 10. It was even less than that. So I appreciated the little savings. Everything was clean and ready. Return after hours instruction were easy.

The location we ended up at was excellent, however it is not the location we requested and we were never contacted and told the location from the original booking was changed. We went to the original location as stated in our email and text confirmation and we were told we could not pick up there and it was moved to another location. This cost us over an hour and a half of time during pick up. Plus additional travel to multiple locations. Also the air conditioning in the truck did not work and we were not told that.

I reserved a truck on Sunday June 26 to pick up at 6pm on Thursday June 30. I reserved it from Thursday at 6pm until Sunday at 6pm. I was confirmed and I have the printout to prove it. On Thursday the 30th around 10am I received a call from the Shillington Uhaul by a gentleman who started out the conversation stating I see you have a reservation for a truck for 3 days. I said yes I do. He stated well that isn't going to happen - you can't have my truck for 3 days. I asked why as the website allows you to pick your length of need and charges accordingly - you can pick up to 10 days on the website. He stated we don't honor the website and you aren't taking my truck for 3 days. I again asked why as I questioned what difference it makes if I keep it for 3 days and pay for it or he rents it to someone else for the same time period. He said I hear what you are saying but corporate doesn't allow you to rent a truck for 3 days. I was suspicious about this since you can reserve it online for 3 days and get a confirmation as to when to return the truck etc. I questioned since I rented this on Sunday why it took until the day of my pickup to let me know that I couldn't have it for 3 days and he got huffy and stated this was the first day he had a chance to look at it. I asked him why that was my problem when he had at least 3 prior days to see I reserved the truck for 3 days and he got ugly and stated if you want to act like that I don't even have to have a truck available for you. I told him he is leaving me in a bad position because now it is too late to book with someone else and I need the truck as I have hired movers for the 1st & 2nd of July because we are moving from Berks County to Scranton and I can't have the truck back any sooner than Sunday. He actually said to me that I wasn't willing to budge on the 3 days. No kidding - I have paid people based on my contract to do a job. He then suggested I do an after hours return on Saturday night. I begrudgingly agreed to that because I needed the truck, however it ruined all the plans I had in Scranton to get the home ready and unloaded and drive the truck back on Sunday to Berks County. I called corporate on Thursday the 30th immediately after this phone call from the Shillington Uhaul. They told me there was no reason I couldn't have rented the truck for the 3 days that I had originally reserved the truck for. They took my information on Thursday the 30th and stated they were emailing the manager of Shillington UHaul and the managers manager and I should get a call back. It is now Sunday July 3rd and I have never received a call back from anyone at Uhaul. I would also like to mention that the gentleman that waited on me at the time of truck pickup on Thursday evening was very nice and showed me that my truck was now booked to someone else on Sunday which is why I believe I couldn't have it for my 3 days that included Sunday. The other gentleman from earlier that day wanted to get a rental fee from someone else so Uhaul could make more money which is not fair because I had already contracted it. The gentleman who called me on the phone to make me change my reservation was extremely rude and should not be a person dealing with the public. Had he said I see you have a truck reservation for 3 days however we made a mistake and double booked your truck, maybe I would have been a little more compassionate as that is the truth. Instead - he told me corporate doesn't allow 3 day truck rentals and I'm not taking his truck for 3 days. He needs a lesson in how to talk to people. Corporate apologized and did not understand why I was told that. I then returned the truck around 930PM on the 2nd (Saturday night) and their easy return process was a nightmare. The App didn't work. I had to enter my information 6 times before giving up. I have the text messages to prove it took 6 times. The sign also said you can call an agent and check your truck back in that way. I called the number and it was at least a 40 to 50 minute wait. I was not waiting after all this drama was already in motion and I had been on the lot for an hour trying to get this truck checked in after hours. I'm sure they can see me on their cameras there for an hour trying to check the truck back in. . I got an email today that they checked the truck in at 10am this am. I will never use this location again for a Uhaul truck rental. Awful customer service experience.

I haven't had the opportunity of having an experience with U-Haul since I was much younger but this experience was absolutely amazing and so easy the staff was so professional and friendly and just made it an absolutely wonderful experience Lee and Noah were the best workers I've had to deal with in a long time the staff the next day was just as kind truly truly impressed and can't wait to recommend you guys to other people

I am not sure anything could be done better . The guy that helped me was both efficient and friendly . Unfortunately, the alignment and suspension in the truck were really bad the 2nd day I drove it. I reported those issues on the website when I dropped it off

I've dealt with this location for years prior to my move to massachusetts. They've always been very very professional very friendly knowledgeable. From the manager on down. Chris has been particularly helpful and working through the issues that we have if there are any. This particular trip had some discrepancies with fuel count and mileage numbers he was able to help me with reconciling those differences. a great location really good people.

This uhual was very nice well kept and clean the only problem we had was we had to go find someone to help us after we pulled into the drop off return lane and waited 10 minutes nobody came out when I finaly went in and got someone they said the person that was soppost to be out there was dealing with someone finally after several more minutes the guy that handled the check in returns came out and told us where to drop the trailer overall great place to do business with wish I would have dealt with them on the pickup side very friendly and helpfull little slow but made up for it with the personality and cleanliness

My experience with uhaul was horrible and I will never be using this service again. After reserving in advance I had to go to 3 different locations and sit on the phone on hold for a long time before I could even get a truck. After getting a truck I was charged an extra $55 for fuel which I was totally unaware I would be charged for. This made my entire moving experience way more stressful and unpleasant.

I was in shock when I saw the space to store my objects and the size was no bigger then my closest for over $85 a month. This just isn't right. I have to cancel my space and look for another storage location which has caused a big inconvenience to my mom as I have been holding her stuff and paying for a Uhaul because I can't find storage. I am so upset about this. I'm sorry, but I would not recommend Uhaul for storage units per the space for the price they require.

This location had my license a for about a month and acted like having my identification card was not a big deal. For this reason alone I called customer service and complained due to the lack of professionalism and regard. Customer service apologize for this location's behavior and said that I will be contacted by a manager within 72 business hours. I was never contacted so I followed up with another call to customer service who apologized and put in a specific request to the traffic control manager with a reference ID number of 2651806 and I should have been contacted within 72 business hours by this specific manager. Due to not receiving this call I called again and I was informed that the manager of the Shillington location Debra Antonelli said that she apologized so they closed out the case. However, I never received an apology from Debra and told the customer service agent that Debra lied and has never contacted me let alone apologize. A few days later I am contacted by Debra, which follows, "Hello. I am emailing to apologize if you felt that your issue was not serious matter and I am glad that you have your licence back. If there is something else that can be done for you in the future we will be here to serve you. Thank you for your business, have good day. Debra" My reply to this email was, "While I appreciate you reaching out and apologizing, I am unhappy with the fact that it took so long for me to receive an apology. I am also unhappy with the fact that a representative stated you previously reached out to me directly, apologized, and  therefore the case was closed. However, this is the first time I received an apology. This apology does not sincerely apologize for the inconveniences your location caused me due to having my licence in your possession for a month. The apology does not cover the flippant behavior of Richard who chuckled at the fact that his colleague who I previously spoke to decided to mail the licence weeks after I gave her my address. This "apology" does not resolve my case and I believe I should be compensated for the inconvenience, unprofessionalism, and disrespect I received from your location. -Shyree J. Gonzalez" I did not receive any communication back. Due to all of this I decided I will no longer give my money to this company and removed my belongings to be stored with a company who are respectful, considerate, and professional. When I removed my belongings Debra (who did not wear a mask) serviced me and did not apologize for anything. I received an email that asked for my feedback and when I click the link it states that I've already given my feedback. Usually I'd think that this is a glitch but due to the lack integrity shown by this location I decided to give my feedback another way encase someone did something unprofessional and unethical again. I will also be reporting Debra and this location to the United States Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration since I have witnessed Debra interact with/service clients inside and outside the facility without wearing a mask. My move-out date was 6/26/2020 and I expect to be able to see my feed back until the end of August 2020.
