I had purchased a utility dolly and it was not in the truck. When I asked for it they acted as if it was a burden to have to get it for me. Also when I returned the key after hours the drop box was broke .

As soon as I arrived in Amarillo Texas I talked with U-Haul moving and storage of Amarillo they were extremely helpful gave me everything I needed and talked me through the process and identified the next steps. very clean facility, very knowledgeable, very thorough, and extremely helpful!

DeAnn G.I told the person we dropped the trailer off that it was scary to drive and moved all over the road. He said unfortunately that is how some of them are. That they would have to drive everyone after it comes in to check it. I think this answer is unacceptable.

mike H.I had a trailer hitch installed at this location before our trip. Need to ensure that when special bolts or a bolt kit is required to install a hitch on a particular model car (Toyota RAV4) that the bolts or bolt kit is provided with the hitch. They had the hitch but didn't have the bolts to mount it when I showed up on my appointment to have the hitch installed and had to go back to get the hitch installed after they ordered a new hitch.
Robert R.This truck was filthy, it was blocked in and took hours to get it out of the parking lot. Nobody at the company would call back. The truck had copious amounts of concrete remnants all in the back, on the steps and the ramp was completely covered in it. The inside of the cab was filthy and the ashtray was full of cigarette butts. This truck, in this condition, leads me to believe it was not COVID-19 sanitized and sent out this way. The local manager gave a 100 $refund, telling customer care he emailed and called us but did neither. We contacted him through customer care and that was the first time we heard from him. This entire trip should be refunded. In the end we ended up with a flat and two tires required changing as well before we could finish our move and unload our truck. Here is the refund email and the only information ever from the store: Reference Number: 3002625 Customer Information: April Gibson tinag09@att.net Refund Type: CreditCard ending in --3178 Once approved, U-Haul immediately issues and processes debit and credit card refunds. Federal regulations allow banks up to five days to process refund requests. Credit processing delays are caused when the Customer's issuing bank takes advantage of this regulation. Amount of Refund: 100 Issued by: Daniel Sommers, U-Haul Moving Center General Manager Approved Date: Daniel could not tell us why the truck was blocked in, he could not tell us if the truck had been sanitized and never called us back with answers. I asked to talk to a regional manager and that never happened either.
April G.We rented a trailer and was told it was cheaper to bring it back to the store in Amarillo. We pulled it to Lufkin Texas and could have turned it in the very same day. We had to haul it back all the way to Amarillo. Makes absolutely no sense when a trailer is 19,95 for a day and we had to pay 137 plus dollars. This makes absolutely no sense!!!

Tyler C. | Expérience généraleThe only complaint I have with U-Haul is in regards to the processing automatic draft payments and the 15 $dollar processing fee associated with deactivated debit cards. In this modern electronic banking world in which we all live, fraudulent activity on one's debit/bank account is very common occurrence. Fraudulent activity almost always triggers one's debit card to be deactivated by the issuing banking institution and requires the holder of the debit card to contact every entity that has an automatic draft or auto pay associated. Rather than offer a courtesy call, email, etc. when a payment is declined by a debit card that has been deactivated due to fraudulent activity, U-Haul simply adds a 15 $fee as if the account was overdrawn. The storage facility to which I moved to does not tack on ridiculous fees and offers a courtesy call when payment cannot be processed.
Mike M. | Expérience généraleHad a vehicle in storage for months and turns out this location leaves the gate open all hours of the day and night and pays no attention to customer belongings. I decided to have the car shipped to me upon finding this out, the truck driver was able to enter the facility, work with a local tow driver, get to the back where my truck was, load it and drove off without so much as a gate code. Had also been trying to get in contact with the employees on location to help set up the shipping and for over a month all I could reach is corporate customer service because the location refused to answer or return any calls. I also ended up paying an extra month because of the same issue. Do not reccomend. Search elsewhere for a storage facility.
