The employees at this location need to be retrained. The woman who wears a low hair cut had a very negative attitude from the first interaction. I should have left the truck there. However your employees have falsified documents in my opinion on purpose because of that negative attitude. Furthermore, your general manager literally screamed at me on the telephone. I didn't raise my voice . I was asking questions and she refused to answer. She said that she wasn't and I quote " go back and forth with me" Being in retail I'm used to dealing with irate customers who refuse to be reasonable but I have NEVER had to deal with that in all my adult life from a place if business! Especially with a manager. I calmly explained to this woman that I wasn't going "back and forth" . To go back and forth would imply she had answered my questions and I refused to see reason. She wasn't answering them. Why did they give incorrect information on the form? Her reply was they had to. My response, was explain to me why you gave incorrect information on the form. She litterally starts to scream again. I asked her could she be professional and this woman (Claudia Watkins said she couldn't and hung up the phone in my face) The phone calls are recorded you can hear me using all my professionalism and you can hear her screaming, admitting to falsifying documents, and hanging up on me.Kawanis S.

The air was not working on the vehicle I rented. And I was charged for 50 miles twice. When I first paid I paid for 50 miles my round trip was a little over a hundred miles I was charged for the full amount without the 50 miles I paid for at first being deducted. The location is fine but the transfers from the 800 number went to the wrong people several times and when I finally got to the right person I was on hold for ten minutes before they said this modification to one way trip from round trip was good to go. I arrived at the store in Memphis and they wanted to charge me $150 before I spoke to the above events and after another ten minutes they let me go for what I agreed to in little rock. This is screwy, if with all the Arkansas jokes an Arkansan employee can know of modifying a contract from round trip to one way why don't higher level workers than the lowliest worker at my local store in an allegedly smarter state of TN know this is a thing? The rental was not available like the online order promised, but when I went into the location, the representative set a time for the day after, and that order was available as promised. There was a problem as far as communication with the main location, because all my attempts to contact them were pushed to customer service, where the wait times were at least an hour long! And even though extra charges showed on the final receipt sent to my email, because of unsuccessful communication, customer service was very understanding and refunded me the extra charges with no problem!Delcenia H.

After 3 locations cancelled my existing order, this location was amazing. Apparently they are the final catch-all for the crap the other locations pull/do, Thank goodness I got there when I did because the next people who came after me were even more furious than I was. The Union Ave. location needs new people-they were rude, extremely unhelpful and made a bad situation worse. Horrible customer service! This location saved me and they deserve all the accolades for making what was a horrible experience at least do-able. If any other rental place was open, if any other rental place came within a dollar of meeting the cost-I would have gone there. I will remember this in the future. I would rent from the W. When we're turning equipment please don't tell your customer you will send the email, talk to them before they leave and explain the checkin process as you work through it. Most customers want to be informed and not surprised by additional charges. Be fair to both company and customers. Because some of Uhaul equipment is very large the customer service person should pay close attention of where the customers are in relation to equipment so that there aren't any accidents like hitting the customer in the head with the truck door mirror again.Moneka M.

My wife and I needed to move within 2 days time and it was very hectic and stressful. When I accessed online reservations there was only one location that had a 26foot truck for the time we needed. We met Ms. Claudia Wilkins and her husband and they were instantly a blessing. We got our vehicle and storage in a very short time. She even had a ice machine for ice chips that my wife loves. They were not only concerned about us renting the equipment but personally as well. The facility was clean and well tended to. We connected with a brother and sister in our faith. We really can't say enough about your professional and personal care for your customers. If I have to use U-Haul again the Storage of South Bluff in Memphis will always be my first consideration. The W. Illinois location was awesome. They did everything they said they would do, exactly as expected. No complaints, only compliments. My problem with U-Haul this weekend, however, was with the 370 Union Ave Memphis, TN 38103 location, where I originally reserved my truck. That truck became unavailable when the previous renter failed to return it on time, or ever, as far as I know. The personnel at that location did not give a rip that I had flown into Memphis specifically to handle this housegoods consolidation, in advance of the corporate relocation movers moving everything from my Memphis house across Tennessee to Knoxville. I only had one chance--this weekend only--to do this. The Union location personnel offered no solutions or options, just the 1-800 number to call someone else to deal with me. This, despite the fact that they did have eight vehicles on the lot right then that were just sitting! The CSR on 1-800-Go-UHAUL solved the problem by giving me an uograde size truck from the W. Illinois location, at the same price. Problem solved.Jonathan O.

The woman that handled my return was awesome. When we pulled into your facility a woman came out of the office and directed me where to park the trailer. By the time I got my paperwork together and got out of my truck and walked back to the trailer she already had the trailer unhooked. She said we were all set and she was sending me an email receipt. After reading good reviews online concerning a great employee, Rob, made me choose this location. After speaking with Rob over the phone from Georgia I informed him of my research & he appeared to be the friendly person that I had read about. When I arrived at the facility on December 22, 2021, I was helped by Rose. She was very professional and helpful with showing, answering questions, and taking care of the rental. She stated that Rob was taking care of another matter outside. When he walked in I got the chance to let him know that it was great putting a face with the voice. This place has a great team and even though my plans didn't work out, all went well during my check out on January 3, 2022. I met Claudia and made sure she knew about my experience. She was very helpful as well. She state that they are just like a family, and I totally agree. Overall, my experience was great but I wish the young lady who got me started would've explained the use of the access card. My self and many others were very confused once we got to the elevator. Thankfully, I believe her brother was there and he politely explained that we must swipe upon entering and once we were done to ensure access. Claudia and her team did all they could to make my experience better, but the facility is just horrible. I reserved a 1st floor 10x20 climate controlled unit. When I arrived, all they had was one 10x9 unit on the 6th floor that was not climate controlled. The elevator was malfunctioning. At one point, I was trapped in the basement on the elevator. I had to use the stairs. The stairs are not locked, there is no camera on the 6th floor, and anyone can use the elevator to go down without a key card. Thus, anyone can walk in there and steal stuff (there are no secure roofs on any units) and take the elevators down. After I filed a complaint with Uhaul, Claudia suddenly had more units available and could help me more. When I came to the facility to close my units and move my stuff back out, she was no longer friendly. My complaint was not so much aimed at Claudia, but at Uhaul itself for allowing folks to reserve units and trucks that aren't available. Rob, and I apologize I can't remember his last name, a tall well mannered young man was the most helpful person I have ever encountered at a storage facility... ANY storage facility. Give that young man a raise because his customer service is above and beyond. I would recommend that facility solely based on his work ethic and kindness. The staff was very Sweet and friendly and extremly helpful. I was so stressed from my move from Sc and the Lady there and I'm sorry I can't remember her name, was so understanding. Actually her and the other gentleman there both were . We hadn't slept in 32 hours from loading the truck and the long drive that we were just out of it and I was so happy and relieved to have warm welcoming staff and the BEST experience we EVER had with a storage facility!!! Online this facility did not and could not accommodate me. They did not have the storage space available that I requested nor could they accommodate me. Thankfully, the manager tried his best to assist. He even attempted to located another location and aided in extending my U-hual truck for the morning due to the inconvenience. This experience was horrible, I was over changed for the truck and still had to go to another storage center in which only one person was working thel line thus still making me late for the arrival time. want my money back and I want to spek with someone in corporate for an immediate refund.Janika W. | Premières impressions
