I deal with food and I rely on u-haul often to transport to transport deep fryers and every time I place a order I ask for a clean truck but when I arrive it’s always filthy and staff give me a hard time and usually waste a lot of my time waiting for them to clean and or prepare a truck for me that I’ve ordered in advance

Customer Service was poor. When I called to change my order pick up time customer service was lacking. Phone rep was not helpful. Said she wouldn't be there at pick up time and she did not know if 6:45pm would work as a pick up time. She continued to mentioned that they will close at 7pm. Made it seem as though they would not accommodate a 6:45pm pick up with the order being paid and all. Not very helpful and very iffy service. When I walked into the office, the representative that helped me with my order did not work with me to identify a drop off location. She simply said she did not know the area where I was going and left it at she will leave it open for me to identify later. I told her I wanted to drop it off at the Lake Forest location. She again said I am not familiar with the area. I gave her the location and she still refused. Upon closing transaction, she was just your truck is right outside. Her colleague had to remind her that I should so a check point inspection. She then pulled out the paperwork for the inspection. She then gave it to me and told me to go outside and do it. Didn't direct me to anyone just had me go figure things out. Did not even walk me through the process and was not at all helpful. To top it off, I did not get the dollies I requested nor the blankets. I had to drive back the next day to pick up this material. At picking up these items, I told them that I did not want to be dinged for milieage and that it was not fair that I had to spend gas money t drive back to this location that was far away from me. Simple response was that I was not being dinged for mileage. They messed up the order and yet, no I am sorry or anything else to compensate for their terrible service. Not friendly and nor helpful.

Picked vehicle up got to my home there was no ramp for U-Haul returned the vehicle 4 hours later and was charged for fuel when I returned on full. PICTURES WERE TAKEN AND SENT IN BEFORE LEAVING VEHICLE AND I ALSO HAVE A GAS RECEIPT! Feel like I’ve been scammed

The lady attending me didnt have good customer Kimberly. Bad experience when I came to drop of the car they were backed up with work. The customers before me were in bad mood probably because they were backed up because I waited in line for so long. Just to drop off the mileage the gas readings she didnt want to verify herself what. She said basically she wanted me to take a picture of the gas readings instead of her walking to the truck. If you look at my recording for my time I dropped of my truck you would see. She even didnt put the correct mileage I left with different she said she fixed it but she didnt fix it the manager was nicer..but she cant do everything. You guys need more people here

I reserved a truck a week in advance. I received a call the day before pickup and was told I have to retrieve my truck from another location instead of my orignal one. This new location was very inconvenient for me. No one could give me a reasonable answer for not having my truck at the orignal location despite having an entire week to make sure it was there. I was told the manager would call me to discuss. I never received that call. I purchased a mattress cover during my reservation. When I got to this new location to pick up my truck they said I would need to purchase a new one here or go all the way back to the orignal location to get it. I was told if I bought a new one here they would refund my purchase for the old one. I'm still waiting for that refund. This was not a pleasant experience and I will not be using U-Haul again.

Upon arriving to the location there was a tow trailer sitting in the parking lot with the bar attachment out where cars pull in to parking stalls and it got caught under my car. I received no assistance from any of the uhaul workers, I did have two of them walk past me and make a statement that I am not the only one that has happen to, and another made a statement that she hopes I didn't mess up my car. Once I got my car removed safely with the help of patrons, I proceeded in to stand in a 15 minute long line that was only being taken care of by one cashier. She than handed me a ticket and informed me to take it to someone in the parking lot so they can get my vehicle, I than went outside found a uhaul employee and he told me to find the vehicle myself by the number, and the keys should be in the truck. I than returned inside stating I am very confused and this in my first time doing this process can I please obtain some assistance, the manager than came out and called the employee to come find the truck for me, she than asked him why is he not responding to anyone and his response was, I turned my walkie off because I dont feel like hearing it right now. I received my protection cover blankets, and my dolly and than had to point out to an employee that the gas gage was not accurate to what my order slip stated. The employee corrected the mistake and I was given my truck. Upon return of the vehicle I was assisted by a very rude male employee who attempted to argue me down about my time return and the gas hand reading, when I showed him the receipt I had with the employees signature next to the corrections he never apologized but just said okay Ill write it off this time because we are about to close. The equipment was in good working order but the employees were not, they really need a class in customer service etiquette. I will never return to this location again, I would rather pay the extra mileage than go back there.

Improve check out procedure! Having to use a cell phone is a convoluted process on a very small screen and very time consuming. Not to mention expensive to your customer, NOT everyone has unlimited data and they have to absorb the additional cost of using their data. If you insist on using this procedure ...provide FREE WIFI! You also need to provide a copy of what the customer has noted as damages to the vehicle before they drive off. Their is no proof for the customer about what has been noted as damage, in case a discrepancy comes up. Everything is to U- HAUL'S advantage and leaves the customer dangling in the wind.

The ramp was broken and completely came detached from the truck . When I called to report the issue, I was told to call roadside assistance. I felt that a uhaul repair man should have been dispatched to my location. I have bruises on my legs from the ramp falling.

I like this branch. The inventory is typically available when I need it and the owner/manager is very hands-on, efficient, and great with her customers. My only issue is that I usually sign up for the mobile check-in to save time, but always have to go into the office to finalize the process, which somewhat defeats the purpose. My recommendation is to have a priority line in the office during peak hours for those of us who use the mobile process.

On 3/16/19 We arrived to pick up a van that we booked about two weeks in advance. We are a small family owned catering company and we deal with food. We were offered a very dirty and honestly, filthy van, which we refused to take until we got a more presentable one which caused us to spend more time picking up the truck then we expected. Once we got a clean truck once we drove less than 1 mile away the lights requiring low air pressure in the tires came on and we were forced to take it to a tire shop to get air which also delayed our day. However, by far the worst part would be when we arrived to return the truck the same day during the evening a young black woman with a long weave and fake eyelashes talked loudly on her phone even using curse words in front of me and other customers who were around even a couple and a child were present. While she talked loudly and repeatedly cursed. While not doing her job. I had to speak up and ask her when did she plan on checking me out to only get a rude response of “I was about to as she batted her eye lashes” I had already been standing there a good 6min patiently. And she gets upset and storms off while another gentleman than took over. She made it clear that she was about to get off work and I understand it’s the end of her shift but she didn’t have to be so unprofessional and on her phone while still on the clock. We’ve used this location several times even twice a month and this made us question whether we will be coming here again. I did not get the young lady name but she works the night shift and had to be getting off by 7pm or 8pm.

First of all, the lady that was there on Saturday morning was not very friendly. She was very slow. Could not multi task. And didn’t really care that there was 10 people that were there to rent a uhaul. Also there was a gentleman that was helping her but did not work there. He was helping as if he was an employee but was not. Honestly I was pretty upset because when I asked if he was an employee he hesitated and looked at the employee, she was going to let him hook up the trailer to my truck! Finally some other employee showed up and hooked the trailer up after about an hour. Will not return!

Need more service technicians for better morning checking in checking out . Also i reserved a 20ft online at a quote of $29.95 plus mileage. Only to be told they didn't have any at that rate and was given the same size at $39.95 . i won't recommend online reservations at this site. " bait & switch. It's very bad business when you're charged for a dolly that you didn't have! When you call for a refund, you get transferred back & forth from customer, back to actual location because a manager is not on site and is the only person that can give you a refund of your own money for 3 to 4 business days. This is absolutely unacceptable to your customers. Not to mention the very rude unethical young lady slammed the phone down in my face and stopped answering the phone. Will never ever refer anyone to this location! Unprofessionalism, and Discourtesy is very unbecoming & Impolite to your paying customers. Advantageous is what paying Customers should be respected and looked upon as. I resent being treated in an Unshaped, Rough, & Defective mannerism. This behavior should not tolerated, permitted, nor promoted by this young lady at this location Vermont off of Imperial.
