I put gas back in the truck and the man still charge me for gas even though I put more then what was required.

March J.I have rented twice within a 3 week period. Each time there was a problem after my rental. I was charged additional fees after the fact. The first rental they stated we did not turn the keys into the drop box. When we asked for a copy of the surveillance video, that quickly changed. This time I rented again and did the same online check-in with no problems. Now, I'm being charged an extra fee for cleaning. That could have been corrected at the time of check in with the sales associate. He never stated their was anything wrong with the vehicle. He waited until I left to add additional fees. This is very unprofessional business practice. I guess uhaul is training its associated to scam customers with any charges possible after the fact.

Frances C.the cost of $200 that i was charged was unexpected and the truck was really worn. there was a problem with a piece being detached from the frame of the drivers door and kept getting caught in my foot. I really had to be careful not to get my foot caught while stepping out. I felt like it did not make a difference if it to your attention. hopefully it can be corrected or fixed for someone else.
Charlotte R.I dropped my vehicle off at 9:00am as scheduled. The hitch was installed within an hour. However, the electrical harness took an additional seven hours while my family of 3 small children waited in a cramped truck all day. The technician was not familiar with electrical work and the employee who was supposed to be familiar (the manager) was not there. I saw where the employee had cut through several wires on my vehicle (2023 Hyundai under factory warranty) during one of my check-ins. This was after he had told me he was the “rookie†and not usually the installer. I was never able to speak directly to the manager after repeated visits and calls, even after being told the manager would be there. Additionally, after all that time, when I was told the vehicle was ready, the trailer lights did not work at all (tested on two separate trailers on the lot). I would have respected being told they could install the hitch but could not install the wiring harness, instead of being insulted by continued excuses and no help from management. A vehicle specific wiring harness (not offered during the appointment) could have been used and would have required no cutting into factory wiring. My family has always used U-Haul services, but this was an extremely frustrating experience and I will never recommend hitch installation to family or friends.

Roosevelt P.Agent Brandon was fine - If it had not been for him it would have been a total disaster. The Lady there actually didn't know how to do correctly checking us in - so getting a reserved truck as per the reservation was a problem till Brandon stepped in and got things straightened out. Took about an hour to get pre-reserved truck. It was dinged up all over but they said it was noted for the record and we would not be responsible. Then when we got the truck home and tried to start the second time - we had to jump it off -I think the battery was ok it was an ignition problem. Later it was a hard start - took about four tries. Other than that truck ran fine and served the purpose for which we rented it. Check in was ok.

Adrian W.I had a storage unit and I fell behind I talked to the manager Brandon and he extended it for 1 months when I call to explain what happened the employee in February told me my items would be sold so I did not worry about it because at that time it was little over two hundred dollars. Two months later I got a notice from until about payments on the unit. I answer all emails gave them my new address and phone number two different times. I called the unit and requested to talk to Brandon and I got no results. I was transferred to a place in the company when the phone is busy and left msg. The gentleman I talk to said I could not make double payment to catch up. I am a disabled vet that cannot afford that much and now I think they gave me the runaround until the bill got high as it is.i have moved 50 or more with uhaul and did not have problems but I guess it went to the wrong site and got cheated. I tried to catch up but no one would answer or get back with me. Thank you for hearing me out.

I don't know the other young man's name that was working but he was great as well. We had a box of trash that needed to be discarded but the dumpster was on the back so he told my husband just leave the box at the door he would make sure it was discarded. We are older people and that ment a lot to us.

So I got my things out the storage on April 1st, 2023. I didn't use the storage but 3 days after my storage was due. And couldn't get a refund for the remaining days I wasn't going to use the storage. I feel like that was a ripoff. A $147 going down the drain
