You should discontinue using the answering service when the reps do nor pick up calls from the location on 71st. I called twice and got the same answer that we didnt have a reservation. I called the office and the reservation was located.

The person who assisted me in renting the van was wearing a gator mask around her neck and not covering her mouth. I found this very disturbing because of the current pandemic.
There were several large scratches on the truck that I received that were not on the phone during check in. Either it was not reported last time or the photos weren't updated.
The staff and entire experience was super fantastic, helpful, and I hope that the next state I relocate to is the same.
Communicate with customers if youno longer have the equipment that has been ordered.
The truck has two loaded Guns In it when I pulled of from the store. I did not find out until I made it to the house loading my things on it! Me and my 5 year old child was sitting on top of the Two loaded guns very unsafe for us and it was all bad!! I'm asking for a full refund !! This store put me and my child in danger!! On top of that I had to let a complete stranger come to my new home to get the guns. No

The gears on the vehicle was really bad. When you tried to make a turn, it everywhere but straight. The sound coming from the engine sounded like a race car!
I would say overall it was great but the issue with how you all handle debit cards and the extra 100 dollars they take off some people barely have enough to move out there house any way but the process was very smooth thanks for your great service

Checking out truck truck had multiple structural damage as well as cabin wad not clean and trim on driver door falling apart as well as truck drove like it was going to break down
1. answer the local phone. 2. Supply the reserved equipment like dollies. Actually dollies should automatically come with the 20ft and 26ft trucks. Not having a dolly extended the job which cost me more money and aches.

This is the second time I rented equipment and was over charged this time for a Dolly for $125 that is I. The back of the truck. Then I called and they put me on hold for an hour. No worries I will be there Tomorrow
The truck brakes did not work properly there was some jerking in accelerating in pressing the gas
The regional manager Shannon was very helpful and courteous she also reached out to the store where I picked up my equipment and explained special accommodations needed Manager Justin then assisted with my contract and service was excellent from both managers Thank you all so much my move went well
The returning site was less supportive. This was our First car tow. We had to unhook the car by ourselves.... luckily my husband and son was with me... had I been alone... I would have been in trouble. Other than that it was fine.
Clean your trucks, stock the truck with hand trucks and drop cloths.

One person didn't know the system but soon another helped me perfectly. However I could not understand how to use the electronic checkout system
I didn't have any issues just very busy when they open up. Needs to be maybe two check in clerk's instead of one.
The only complaint was that I paid for a dolly and when I got to my destination, it wasn't in the truck. The staff fixed the problem with no issues. Everyone there was nice, I would definitely use them again. My only advice is to go early because there is very little parking.
I am not happy that I was charged $20 after hour fee the lady told me I could have the truck for 24hr at the same price. I brought the truck back the guy told me to park the truck in the lot and put the keys in the drop box. I didn't understand stand why as I was going to walk in he said they was closed. I think looked at my phone to see the time it said 7:15 at that time I realized that the clock in the truck was wrong. by about 15 to 20 minutes

Add more/sale people to accommodate the crowd. Just one person to assist on a busy day /weekend. Not good pick up time at 7 am come in waiting in line by the time you are next it's 8 other than the waiting no complaints. Just improve the waiting on customer service
There need to be more than 1 person inspecting when you return equipment and pick up waited half hour for pck up and 20min return
The cargo van i wanted was available but the rental provided to me was great and did the job

My answers are based on my last rental experience. Initial set up for the rental was a good person polite and professional. Upon return it appear that everything went well we thought. The truck was checked in. the customer associate insured me that I would receive an email with my receipt. Two days later I received a call from Nicole representative asking when I was going to return the truck. Although she remained professional she was insinuating that I still had the truck never considering the error was on the end of the uhaul location. I never received a receipt I called back spoke with a Natalie who was unable to confirm the truck was returned on the same day of rental and inquired of me as if maybes I didn't check the truck in according to return procedures. no one could figure out where the truck was even though they had a copy of the key per the initial caller by the name of Nicole. I had to go up to the uhaul location only to find out staff never closed out the return. Not happy as a regular customer felt insulted for this experience I would consider alternative rental locations . I was not pleased with the customer service.

I was pleasantly and QUIITE surprised about the great customer service! I visited the location once before move-in. The all staff members that I interacted with both prior to and during my move-in were fantastic and graciously answered all my questions and showed me around. Again, I'm impressed, because being born and raised down south, I'm just not used to getting good customer service in Chicago (in general), so the experience was quite a welcomed surprise. Thank You.
The staff over at south shore is incredible! Ms. Denise is so personable and professional. She really takes care of the customers and we stand in line just to have her service us. I rented a storage unit about 30 mins before they were supposed to close. Ms. Denise stayed with me to unsure I was safe, especially since non of my helpers showed up. I appreciate Ms. Denise.

Roaches. The units are infested with cockroaches. Every time I accessed my storage I saw them crawling around in my unit and on my things. Disgusting. Friendly staff though.

The staff here is helpful. They just didn't have accurate inventory online so I had to get furniture dollies at the south loop location / they held my trailer overnight so it wouldn't sit at my place.

If there was 24/7 access then it would rate above average or better. The last U-Haul facility I used provided that service. It was located on 22nd St. west of Canal.

Staff was unable to find my ubox, states my name was attached to an empty box not the one I moved my things into. Staff was rude when returning the uhaul truck. Customer service was not the best

When I wanted to unload my UBox, I called 3 days in advance & confirmed the day before. Upon arrived, it was not ready; the staff was rude & dismissive. This location is very disorganized.

The U-Haul facility did an ok job. They were two hours late in having the truck hooked up to the trailer and Ubox as promised.
My experience with Denise,Shay and Justin was spectacular. They where all very friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. I will continue to use this location because of their professional service
The facility air conditioning was broken on the day we arrived. At our starting location, receipts weren't offered but once in Chicago, Justin Slay, the manager, was very accommodating and friendly.

The staff was great. They are never rushed, and always courteous to everyone who's in the office. The main website is bad -- my storage contract didn't show up on my account, so I was unable to pay.

I can't complain about the service. Everyone was helpful. One worker used very vulgar language. Even though she was off the clock, she had her uniform coat on & ID displayed. Still representing UHaul.
