I put 16 miles on the truck. I put in 3 gallons of gas. I left the receipt in the truck. Got the receipt 8 hours later and you charged me for 2 more gallons of gas. It's just wrong!!!also you advertised that I would pay 0,99 a mile but on receipt charged me 1,19 per mile. That is not ok. False advertising and fake charges. I need to be refunded the proper amount.

It was cool and easy. U-Haul equipment is great and always works well.
BENJAMIN AAfter receiving a text that confirmed that reservation was for pickup at Susanville, CA, I received a call telling me that I had to go 80-90 miles further to pickup the trailer which was unexpected and a major pain. When I picked up the trailer, Sam ( at Sparks, NV location) told me that I would receive a reduction in cost if I returned the trailer early. It was due on 9/8/24 and I returned it on 9/5/24. When I returned it, I did not receive anything off contrary to what I was told. Please make this right and please stick to your commitments to your customers.
PHILIP DI paid for the storage unit on 30 August, I moved out on 1 Sept, I was told they didn't owe me money back for the rest of Sept. I called to find out why. I was told the system said my amount was rated by the system at $0. Every time I called to speak to the manager, the manger had left for the day. I was told four times the manager would call me back and talk to me. The manger did not call me back. I will be telling everyone not to use that U-Haul location.

VICKIE F | Premières impressionsAfter making and receiving confirmation for a reservation Sunday morning, I attempted to call the reserved location directly to confirm the expected vehicle was in fact available, or at least expected to be available at the proposed time. After a 30 minute hold I decided to simply drive directly to the location to pick up the rental. Upon arrival, while waiting in line, I overheard the employee at the counter discussing a damaged pickup truck with who I assume was another customer calling to inquire about a pickup truck. At that time I didn't know there was an issue with the truck I was to rent. When I got to the counter I informed the employee I had a reservation for a pickup truck under my last name. The response I got was more or less "well, no you don't because the truck is broken". I had not received any call, text, or email indicating the truck was down before my reservation time, but the issue was known to at least this employee, possibly others on location, and no effort was made to inform me. At that point the employee did nothing to offer me an alternative, so I had to ask if they had any other options. After I suggested a van instead, the employee confirmed one was indeed available and my rental was completed. When I entered the vehicle I noticed the tire pressure monitoring light was on and the dash displayed all 4 tires at different pressures, none of them the correct pressure. Frustrated, I took the van home and filled the tires myself to the pressures listed on the door. When I returned the vehicle the next day I informed the employee checking the vehicle in of the issues I encountered and asked about the supposed $50 guarantee U-Haul advertises. I explained the whole situation in detail and was granted the $50, which I appreciate, but I would have rather not have had to deal with any of it. This is one of many low quality experiences I've had with U-Haul over the years but because they end up being the only option many times over, I have no choice but to continue giving them money when I need rentals. I would sincerely hope U-Haul cleans up their customer service and starts listening to customers and provide a better quality service. U-Haul will continue to be the option I explore last, after all others have been exhausted.

He stated that it is the customers responsibility to photograph the distance until empty and produce receipts for fuel purchased. He was less than professional.

DANIEL NThe Digital Ct location and team was excellent. However, UHaul first sent me to the Virginia St location in Reno, NV (reservation no. 91579186). After waiting 30 minutes in line to speak to the representative, I was told that the Virginia St location did not have my trailer and I would need to drive 30-minutes to the Digital Ct location to get the 5x8 trailer that I had reserved. The unnecessary trip to the Virginia St location and subsequent drive to Digital Ct. added more than 1,5 hours to my pick up time, making me late to the rest of my appointments that day.
Mark SProvide customer service training to the manager. It took 45 minutes to rent the truck and there were only two people ahead of me. Manager was slow to recognize and respond to delays. He did have two new hires working the desk but he could have done better

sean sThey did a horrible job. They took my whole undercarriage protection off and didn't even give me a call to let me know. They also didn't even give me a call when my car was done. I Had to call them at 5:45PM when they closed at 7 PM. And also took off my whole rear wheel tire flap and now the part that is still there is very loose. They also forgot about my hitch and all the other side things that came with what I ordered. I had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes for them to figure it out. Also, they left the plastic and bolts they took off my car in the trunk of my car instead of throwing them away for me. They do have a way to dispose of those things there.

Daniel PWe reserved a pickup truck at this location. We were then told that our location was changed to a location 15 miles from our home. Since the mileage was a charge that we were going to have to pay, we were not happy with the change. We arrived at the new location only to be told that they don't even have a pickup available. We were then sent back to the Spanish Springs location and were able to obtain a cargo van that was just needed for a couple hours. Having to go back and forth to get a vehicle made our day begin later than we wanted.

Marco HWhen I dropped off the van I needed an Uber or Lyft to get to my vehicle. The data connection was not strong enough inside the building and I had to go outside in 95 degree weather to get a signal. I had to move off the property and wait over 20 minutes in, what I felt was, too remote and exposed. As a small woman, I didn't feel safe. Providing an internet connection seems an essential means for safety, in my opinion, given the weak data available.
Susan BDuring pick up on Wed 6/19, the lot person was working the counter & ran my card 5 times & had me sign numerous times, finally the manger came over & was condescending & rude. I after 5 times have a right to ask that it stop. Ok, fine the manager is having a bad day. On Friday during drop off, there was a young kid, very nice wearing a team member in training safety vest & he was helpful, but during the unhooking the same manager asked " same card" I replied sure. He replies, with the same wholly than tho attitude, " you have a nice day" it was condescending & rude in his manner and behavior- the same way be behaved on Wed. So, its not a ONE off day, its now the standard. Both times, I was the only person there, so its not like he was helping many people at once. Your manager behaves as if, we the customer are bothering him. I had a 28 year gal with me, and she too thought his manners were disguising.

SARAH HDispite my inquiry about tires having the proper pressure and what the pressure should be I given a trailer with one tire at 60 psi and a second at 24 psi. I was told they should be 65psi. I caught it before is a problem but my idea of tire pressure to drive across Nevada and California does not accept this standard. I had a similar situation 2 years ago for the same trip from a rental from Olympia wa.

Discovered that one of my 2 units was robbed of space due to U-Haul duct system running through the upper part of my unit. Had no idea that the elevator was only 10 feet wide and had a 10 ft. hutch that could not be manipulated due to weight. Therefore, at the end of a long day, had to rent another unit on bottom floor to accommodate the hutch. We could have fit all of our items into the 2 units that I had ordered. I am very unhappy about paying $200 more each moth. I would like a 'no charge' on the unit I had to get last minute, or another unit downstairs. However, I would want u-haul to incur the expense to move my items. With my mover. I do not trust anyone else to handle my antiques and art

I understand why - all the metal and the way the building is constructed makes that hard. But it is a safety hazard because if something did happen inside, no one would be able to call for help. Some emergency alert buttons throughout the building or some other security solution could be helpful.
