I am an asthmatic and have allergies to secondhand smoke of ANY KIND. The truck reeked of cigarettes and otherwise was clean. It was chilly outside, I had to keep the window open! The smell gave me a severe migraine.The one I rented in August 2022, reeked of marijuana and I totally detailed it out, repeatedly sprayed the vents, bought 2 cans of air freshener and none of this worked. Smokers should be charged a $100 to $250 cleaning fee or please assign smokers, smoke infested vehicles and Dedicate a few vehicles in each size, for Non-smoking. Please help. Thanks soooo much. 濫冷

I was charged an $11,5 fuel charge when I put gas in the vehicle at the same level as when I rented it. Due to this I will rent from another location.

All went well until the return visit: Dropped off trailer after returning. Staff told me where to leave it, with absolutely no assistance disconnecting and placing in original location. Did not even offer assistance. Seemed to be doing their own thing. Four different people were behind the counter when I arrived for return.

Your evening shift worker was super lazy. Upon return of equipment, there were several other backed up returns and the employee was inside coloring. I was unsure if I was to get a refund or not seeing as how she didn't check in my rental. Overall the day shift team was superb, but evening shift employees can use some improvements in customer service.

The lady that set me up on 10/26 was very rude and treated me let crap. I called in originally to express my needs and she was very short answered. I had to ask her to repeat the price and mileage fees so I could write them down. She literally yelled them to me like I was a little child. I showed up to see if I could get a truck same day and the lady was at the desk and I asked I see your trucks out there I believe I need that size bigger (an upcharge for you all) she pointed at the board and said the prices are there. I asked if the mileage fees was the same and she rolled her eyes. Throughout the whole process it was very unprofessional and I would never want any of my employees to promote this behavior in front of the rest of the staff or my customers. I was told I could pickup my trailer at 8:30 am but when I got there they were closed. Had to wait 30 minutes for them to open.

The truck itself wouldn't start unless the wheel was cranked hard to the left or right. When I let the uhaul employee know, she said management was aware but wouldn't fix it. But in my experience, most uhaul trucks are junk.

After repeated trips to this U-haul store I received totally different information each time I was there. Absolutely no consistency at all. This included the employees- on my second visit the manager handed my a business card with her name on it- they were very nice and personable The following week when I returned there was a whole different crew of people including the manager. The reason for renting the truck was to surprise my daughter for her wedding with decorations to make her dream wedding come true. This surprise was Spoiled however when U/ haul sent emails to her. I was never even asked for an email let alone wondering how they even got hers? The gal I rented from later called to let me know that due to my inconvenience she would compensate me for the mistake- guessing she did I'm not 100 % sure. She said “well all you said was it was for a wedding ( was I obligated to tell her what all was in the truck and why?) When discussing dates and times the truck was needed after leaving the incorrect times were sent to me in a text to confirm. I then had to make a call to correct the problem which turned into a wait time of 20 to 30 minutes to talk to anyone (I had to wait- it had to be fixed) When I did get through that gal was VERY GOOD Unfortunately it lead to another phone call the following morning and in making that call was told the person I need to speak with was in a meeting and I would receive a call back within 48 hours What??? I needed help now Also when I walked in the door to schedule the truck I was greeted with a very Unenthusiastic “How can I help you” Which I responded I'd like to reserve/rent a U-haul And was responded by a rude “Well, which is it” Then I was told the truck would need to be returned by 7:00 AM the day it was to be brought back. At that time I told her that was not possible as I would be in Iowa- I would not be able to return it till that evening. we spoke about the late return where to put the keys and where to park the truck. Then on the morning of the return I received a phone call stating that I had rented a truck and that it was to be returned at 7:00 AM and wanted to know where it was! URGH This was frustrating! After explaining AGAIN the situation, I was told that there was no notation put on the order and that was why I was receiving the call and then she hung up without even saying goodbye/How Rude. Was also told at the time of renting the truck that I would be receiving a call from “traffic control “ due to having the truck for extended time. Which is a call I never received. I've rented from Uhaul before and Always been very pleased. It was at a location place that is no longer open or I would have gone there for sure! If I could suggest- the self check in process was confusing and frustrating for someone not good with on line applications. Other option was to have Uhaul do it for you for an additional $20 Gave up after 20 minutes or so and even another person helping- not wanting to pay an additional fee but had no choice. In conclusion- really I like Uhaul- always been a happy customer but this adventure truly left as they say “a bad taste in my mouth “

Key would not turn in the ignition without multiple attempts. Wham turned in, was told they were aware, but would not fix until it completely failed. This would render the truck inoperable. At a gas station, or anywhere it might be shut off!

The customer service person that was in the hub this morning, was fully aware that the truck she assigned us was having issues and assured us that the truck was fine and we were not going to have issues. Now was are currently sitting in a parking lot broke down with a U-Haul loaded and road assistance has been unable to find a vendor to get to us to get back on the road for over an hour now! This is terrible, and unacceptable. How do you knowingly put someone in a rental knowing they are traveling about 300 miles round trip!

So far proved to be a hassle-free experience. Employee I dealt with was prompt, helpful, and genuinely friendly. Trailer rented was exactly what I reserved barely an hour before. Check out was quick and effortless, return was even faster! Employee met me at the door and assured she would take care of paperwork/deposit regarding checkout. As long as there are no hiccups with billing I give this experience A+++

the only issue we had was trying to create an account so we could drop it off after hours and we tried different times on each of our phones it still wouldn't work so we had to leave it for the workers in the morning and get charged an additional $20 which we didn't want to have to do but after a half hour or longer of it not working we were done trying

Make sure that equipment is in working order before giving it to the customer. Answer the phone within a reasonable time. 15 minutes on hold waiting on customer service is ridiculous. Update the app so that when someone is attempting to return a vehicle after hours that it works without issues. I worked on it for 40 minutes the night I rented it to attempt to return the truck early but couldn't get past the ability to take pictures of the odometer and gas. I had 4 bars on my phone and the app had access to my camera. It should be user friendly.

Vehicle clean and in proper working condition. The key wouldn't turn in the ignition. After a few jiggles I got it to operate. It did this on several restarts. When the employee came out to check back in I informed her and she said, “ Don't worry about it. We know. It's been doing that for awhile.” Scary that a vehicle would be rented for use when it has an issue like that.

We were/are storing permanent records (estate files, Audits, tax records) that needed to be in a climate controlled environment. A air conditioning condensation pipe leaked. The records go soaked and moldy and some had to be destroyed.

Set up people know that they're the rat box inside each unit because they are poison and I picked one up I didn't know what it was and it had my hands messed up people do have children who help them move I just thank God my grandchildren didn't pick the Box up that was my only issue
