The worker that took the truck when I returned it was not friendly and rude. He spoke very condescendingly and standoffish. That's unacceptable, especially where I was paying alot of money for my rental.

GERARD WGreat location presentation of all the units was extremely good as soon as I pulled into the receiving area guys were there too quickly give the unit a wash down and a sweep out inspection. Lotta tenant was a little grumpy, but Chris, the shop manager or store manager was amazing. He was very helpful and understanding.

FRANK EApp check-in is terrible, slow, buggy and not intuitive. Once you get through a bunch of steps, including calling a random person with a different name that you select, then you get to search the lot for a vehicle matching your number. No directions and in my experience it was parked as far away from the doors as you could, without leaving the property. After you find it, you get to walk back to the building and pick up the key, and then try and take a 360 of your vehicle in the app, which again was parked so tight to other vehicles I could barely get two of the sides and had to pull out to actually inspect it. For everything I had to deal with, a competitor, even at a higher price would've been a MUCH better choice.

Also I was told that if we use the product for longer then expected we would be charged more but if we didn't use it for as long as expected, we would get a refund. We took the trailer back the next day so we should have been charged based on the hour but we were still charged for time we didn't even use it.

Access hours were also adequate, but longer hours would have been appreciated at times. Staff was generally helpful, but staff also seemed very much not to want to be there. I would truly say only one person I met there in my recent experience to be genuinely outgoing and friendly. Facility was as clean as you'd expect a warehouse. Bathrooms seemed cleaned regularly but floors were not mopped near my unit in the past month. Lack of garbage cans seems to lead to people putting things on top of light switches and electrical conduits. This garbage has been in same place for weeks. Facility was poorly maintained insomuch as the contents of my unit were severely damaged by water. Staff was of no assistance in this matter. For this reason alone I don't recommend this facility.
PHILIP R | Expérience généraleEverything was great except my partner was disrespected at the counter, a man serving a customer at the time went over board when my partner excused himself, but interrupted another customer he was speaking with… My partner politely interrupted because he was the only one there to talk with and he was wondering where I had gone, I had to use the bathroom after the long ride from one residence to the storage unit in St. John's from mackisons out around the bay , I was exhausted from the move and did take a lot longer to use the facilities, he was just worried and wanted to know if he had seen me. This employee overreacted and told him he was rude and that he would have to wait till he was done with his current customer, that he wasn't answering any of his questions till then, the employee knew where I was, he directed me to the bathroom. It was just uncalled for and very disrespectful, The customer he was serving actually said no go ahead it's ok, but this employee refused to. We had a long day as it was just down pouring all day and we still had to make this happen, because otherwise, I would have rescheduled the move. The rain was so bad I was nervous driving it caused a major anxiety as I'm not use to driving bigger vehicles. He could have just been polite, but made the choice not to. As well, he told me where the facilities were, but never quite told me which direction to go in, once I went in the general direction, I had to come back out and ask him do I go upstairs or down the hallway,( I could barely hold my pee) to which he rolled his eyes and then proceeded to tell me. Its why I was in there so long once I got there I was trying to get myself together before coming out and transporting my belongs into two heated units, the whole day was such an ordeal. Meanwhile, the man who served me was incredibly nice and I spoke to him about the hard day we had all had, he was considerate and showed empathy for everything as well as informed me of everything that I needed to know, he even waved and smiled at me as I drove off the lot, while he himself was being rained on! Great employee Where did you find this other man, the only one being rude was him, certainly not my partner, whom was just worried about me and didn't know where I was being gone for so long at this moment when time was getting short and we still needed to transfer into not one unit but two separate ones! I will certainly recommend you folks again as you were my first and only thought But I would also recommend to avoid the employee with the dark beard, he I was just not nice! Sorry for the long winded story!

And the aggressive notice I received when I had a late payment was totally unacceptable. Perhaps a phone call asking if everything was ok and when I could make payment would be more appropriate. This will be my one and only time storing with U-Haul

So I had to wheel a cart of my things to the foot of the stairs, and take my things up the stairs and put them on another cart. A few suggestions for improvement: It would be good for the website to show the proper times for accessing the storage units that are inside the building. I'm not sure if the website says that there are no elevators in the building and that storage units on the upper level will require using a short flight of stairs but if not, this would be good to mention too (it wasn't an issue for me but some people might find it a problem). Finally, it would be helpful to have more detailed instructions and signage on where to go to access the loading bay.

Everything got wet in our unit and we had to move everything to another facility. We were not told of this condensation problem when we moved in to the unit. If we had been, we would not have stored our belongings there.

A few points that could be improved on: 1) when I initially signed in I was told the billing would be automatic on my credit card. This wasn't the case and I was charged for non payment on the second month. 2) only one of the two loading bay doors was usable. The second was consistently blocked with uhaul equipment. This caused some congestion with myself and other tenants. Overall, I'm very pleased with my experience however. It was easy to do business with you and I felt my belongings were safe and secure in your facility. Merci.

I have been a client of Uhaul self storage at this location for one year now, I acquired 2 units in January 2021 upon a sudden move to Ontario. At that time, I received 110 % Great Customer Service from one employee (I am unsure of his name but he has dark hair, stands about my height 5"9, average build, has the voice of a tv host or radio show host… I feel you could distinguish him by this comment) however, this guy is your guy if you need every spec of information you need or will ever want to need about storage or anything else you ask in the Uhaul area. Very much an asset to the store on Kenmount. Back to Mr. Mackey though … I had called to speak to him last week due to a late payment on both units for over one month. Mr. Mackey returned my call and left me messages until he reached me with a number I had left for him. When we did get in touch I explained my recent car accident on December 3rd which caused my delay in my payments, and how I was just now getting back to myself and getting my finances straightened up. Taken back by my unfortunate events these past 2 months he informed me of my extra charges, and late fees along with my total of both units. But while doing so, he was able to remove a total of $30. With a credit payment over $700 I was about to make, at this point minus $30 fee to some wouldn't seem to lighten the day. But it was Mr. Mackey himself with his empathy for my situation that made me write this today. I won't elaborate any more, but I would recommend this location to anyone who is in need of storage always given my experience.

I paid 143,67 on Dec. 23 and that brought me to Jan 23 I thought the balance would be refunded to my visa. I personally think that this is not good customer service. Especially where I was a steady customer for close to or over 4 years with this unit..

We had a truck and trailer, and it was extremely difficult to drive to our unit because of all the rental vehicles stored in the way. Which also made it hard to maneuver and turn around because you can not just drive through. Would be much easier if you could pull trough without having to turn around a large trailer.

Store service is extremely slow, often long lines witch include people signing out rental vehicles with ONE person at the counter. Having to pay extra for 24 hour access to your outdoor locker is a bad show of customer service. Just always a hassle when visiting. Very glad my stay is over.

He acted like this was a ridiculous question and told me no. As I was having trouble to back up, another employee saw and offered multiple ways to help. After it was unhooked , the employee asked me if the hitch was installed at a U-Haul (it was , in NB) as the chain used to secure it was not the right one, and was actually breaking . He was surprised we made the drive. ( Also had slight issues in NB).

I got a flat and ruined an entire tire trying to get in to the lot before they made the ramp like part and the employees have absolutely zero compassion or empathy. As a result I could not fit a lot of my stuff from the truck into self storage. This certainly made for a stressful moving day. That said, staff was very kind and gave me some accommodations because of this.

The office was well lit but a light inside the unit would be helpful. Staff were great. Then when I mentioned it again he said "I wish you told me this before" and rolled his eyes at the extra work he had to do, refunding me. When we saw our unit, we were disgusted to find numerous bugs on the floor and ceiling. If I am paying this kind of money for a storage unit, I would at least expect it to be clean. The way I was treated at the check in counter was unacceptable for a paying customer. I intended to use UHaul for all my moving needs but now I am having second guesses. Hoping someone can get in touch with me to make things right.

The unit was full floor to roof of my mother's possessions that she was forced to store after my fathers death and having to sell her home. We lost more than half of our items due to water damage and mold. It took weeks and weeks of our/her time to sort through the mess. The employees of the kenmount road location, were as helpful as possible, but we were told uhaul as a company did not offer any assistance under their insurance. This should not have happened. Water came in through both the ceiling and the floor. The items and memories that have been lost due to an insecure unit is heartbreaking.

I was partially moved and did not put another lock on the unit. The local company tried calling me and I tried several calling back to see what they wanted. When I finally called back I was informed the few pieces of furniture left there was thrown out It was three pieces of a bedroom set and a tv stand. I am extremely upset and will never use U-haul again for storage.

I had never used a storage unit of any type so I specifically asked a lot of questions in the beginning to make sure something like that didn't happen. The people I spoke to assured me that the units were fine and there should be no issues. I have used U Haul multiple times for the vehicles and was always impressed and very happy with the service. Needless to say, this has not left me in a good space with the brand or the company.

And all I could hear was the horn going from inside. One of your employees were honking the horn like something sick nearly on my bumper. And than gave me a dirty look cause it took me a bit to get my baby back into her car seat. I wasnt in the way and he had lots of room to go around. He backed up where I was and stayed on his phone the entire time. Horrible horrible horrible expirence. I'm moving with a baby. Should give someone some common decency to give some time as I am trying my best with a baby in my arms. Getting my unit was fantastic. 119 to be beeped at cause I'm taking too long? Disgusting.

As I had to unload a trailer I could not pull into the bay, or so I was told by the attendant. My wife had to stay inside the bay to keep the door open while I unloaded the trailer.
