The truck had starting problems where it would not start unless I shifted to neutral. It was very loud in the cab and wind whistled thru although it may be because we went thru 2 very strong headwind days. Fuel mileage was lower than expected, also maybe due to the wind.

I literally could chose to do nothing physically, as they can provide movers, supplies, and convenient methods of moving made hassle free. I want to thank James for all the help. He was such a great guy!! I felt like I could trust him from the first time I went into the Superior,Wisconsin store. He made sure everything was done right before we finally headed to our new destination with the trailer. By the way we rented a 26 footer,15 footer, and then a small trailer. The vehicles and trailer all ran excellent with no issues. Very nice people in both locations from the pick up location to the drop off location!! Thanks again James!!!

I was supposed to get in to my truck at 6:00 a.m., but I was not able to so I had to wait at the store until 9:00 a.m.. Then, when I went to return my truck that night I could not return the truck via phone. I had to wait till the next morning to call to see if it had been returned.

From pickup of my boxes being late, even though they told me that they picked them up my realtor sent me pictures of them still there. I could not see my contract call about this and still could not see my account. Find out much later they spelled my name wrong. After I was told on the phone upon order that they would deliver to Iron River Wi after boxes where delivered to Superior I had to rent at truck unload the boxes and into the truck go to new location and unload there. When I went to pick up the keys for the truck all I heard was how the people in Arizona that take the orders don't know anything and I should have called the store direct. I called the GM and sent a text to call me, I never heard from him. Very unprofessional.

We were told at one location that we only had to bring it back with the same amount of gas that was in it when we picked it up. We actually returned it with MORE gas in the tank, but somehow managed to get charged to finish filling the tank again anyways.

Extremely long wait times. We rented a 20ft. Truck for a 2 bedroom house and it was no where big enough. The store location didn't allow us to return the truck to a different uhaul location so our mileage was more, I rented a dolly and instead of letting us use the one zip tied in the truck they gave us a separate one, so the zip tied dolly took up much needed space in the truck. Return instructions were not at all clear.

When I first went there...i told them I wanted a trailer. Somehow ended up with a truck. Called and got that straightened out. Picked up trailer...guy behind desk had NO idea what he was doing! Told him again going to Moorhead...somehow this became MY address wanted to drop off trailer closet to concordia...in Moorhead. So I drove to uhaul in moorhead only to find out my return location is now 8 miles away in Fargi and not 1.5 as the uhaul in moorhead would not accept return. The whole thing from start to finish was a mess! It could have all been avoided IF the agent would have taken TWO seconds to read back what I was getting where I am picking it up and where I am dropping it off!!

Excellent professionalism and flexibility with the U-Haul staff, equipment was clean and serviceable. I've had only two interactions with U-Haul so far, the first being absolutely terrible and two years ago. This was a night-and-day difference.

My experience with James Hall was excellent! He helped me return a trailer that I had rented. I spoke with him about some positive and negative experiences I had with a truck rental a few days prior. He provided excellent customer service and made me feel like a valued customer. He listened to what I said, apologized for the negative experience, and told me what he'd do to prevent the same thing from happening to another customer. He thanked me for both the positive and negative feedback I shared. The positive experience I had a few days prior was with an employee named April. I hope James and April get big kudos because they were fantastic!

I will never use you all again their software could never interact with the other stores from where I ordered it where I picked it up where I dropped it off and nothing ever worked properly. I bought ratchet straps a set of ratchet straps never need a new never opened them they said I can't get money back I can't even get credit for them I have to take them with me I spent over $2000 there and I can't even return $20. I have bought many boxes they said return them when ever you want and will give you credit or if you paid with a credit card will give you cash back when I got to my Destiination return the boxes they said we can't take him there's no way we could give you the money Very disappointed with U haul

Wasn't compatible with our fixed income and due date. Constant battle with late fees ($15 turned into $20) and denied access with my card and double locks, lein threats, etc. Lady at the call center said they're were amenable to working with payments especially due to COVID and we would have fees waived for signing up for auto pay (never happened). When I altered the staff that I was intending on switching he was rude and condescending. He scoff that these would we difficulties with merit and simply appealed to fear stating my "stuff will get moldy" with the new storage company. Rather than being helpful or even trying to work out the payment difficulties, he said to let him know when I'm out and walked away. I feel he missed a valuable opportunity to retain me as a loyal customer with his lack of concern for customer service and poor ability to build rapport. I would suggest in the future that this facility could utilize customer service and personal sales training. I have a strong background in marketing and business and would happily provide suggestions or insight into ways that this interaction could have been made positive and ultimately secured my loyalty as a customer and even possibly created an upsale for this facility. In the future, please do not appeal to fear as the rule, it is the weakest form of persuasion. I could have been swayed to change my decision if the individual had approached the entire thing (at least pretending) to have my best interests and the interests of my belongings in mind. For example, asking me if I had sentimental photos or valuables in my locker that were not otherwise protected from the elements or insured elsewhere.

I like the reuse of an old Kmart building for self storage. It's a great idea and provides a lot of space. I think U-Haul should do this to all the old Kmarts!!! The storage security is excellent and gives me piece of mind. Each unit has an alarm and there are cameras everywhere. Indoor loading and unloading is AWESOME!!! For all this the prices are similar or less than other much less secure storage facilities.. My whole experience with staff was excellent as well. They informed me on important policies and made everything easy.

We had to find a storage unit in a hurry when my wife's mother died and we needed to store her stuff before we could find a place to donate her items. We were able to get a storage unit in one day, move all the items in on one day, and know that all the items were safe and secure. It is an impressive operation and if we ever need a storage place again we would use this one.

I am already searching for a new storage location. This was a terrible experience, and the prices are just ridiculous for the size of the units. They also did not inform us there was a charge for the advertised 24 hour access and second code, and would not pick up the after hours phone a short while after closing. After everything, I am definitely finding a new storage unit.

Everything was fine with the unit itself. My concern first came when they got me mixed up with another customer and even called me at one point to come and take my lock off because I had canceled (I had not at that time). My other concern was I apparently did not secure my lock properly and got an email informing me as such. I appreciated them alerting me to my mistake however they also told me if I did not get up there "asap" they would have to drill a new hole and charge me $50. With not be provided with an exact time frame I panicked and left work to go adjust it. I feel given some sort of time frame of one hour to 24 hours would have been sufficient and not simply"asap". Over all I would rent from U-Haul again when needed. Thank you, Lori Maine

Sales pitch on the website says 24 hr access and order confirmation says 5-10 access 7 days a week. I really only get access to my unit 7-7 M-Sat and 9-5 on Sunday unless I pay extra $10. Not happy
