This was the most horrible experience ever. Between the lies from customer service (like them promising it would be deliver to the residential address for the amount pad but then wanted $279 more to get it from Tilton to resident in Andover, to the change or move from Tilton to next place further away due to construction to the horrible customer service of them and their managers to their unknowledgeable people who say one thing then another saying another thing like where we could return the unused excess of moving blankets then having to drive them 45 minutes away to the place that the ubox was sent from which was deep in San Diego instead of close by Carlsbad where we were told it came from) just an overall expensive horrible experience after it left Encinitas. We will make sure to tell our friends and family to NEVER choose U-Haul!!!

The 24-7 rideshare online pick up was difficult to use. After trying to get approval for 20 minutes, we ended up going in and checking out truck with representatives inside .

When I arrived I pulled in-front of the gate as I knew I would have to return the trailer to the yard. He came out complaining about pulling in front the gate and how it would block the imaginary customer who was leaving the fenced in area (I was the only one there!). I pulled the trailer back to the parking area and he started complaining that he had been working for 7 days without a day off and then, because of not paying attention, while taking the trailer off my hitch, he smashed his finger and was complaining about that. He is a liability not an asset and if I ran the location, I would terminate him for his attitude. Customers don't want to hear how many days you have worked in a row!

I had to take an Uber to any of my restaurant as it was dark out and then wait 45 minutes to talk to someone on your phone line and then take an Uber back. All this cost me over $30 since I had to buy something to sit inside the restaurant in safety.

David D.Romona, the manager, was the shining light of a terrible experience. She empathized with me getting a broken truck in Massachusetts and not getting enough miles. My storage unit is in an U-haul facility, but they didn't have a truck for me, so I had to rent a truck from 25 miles away. I wasn't given that extra mileage when I was renting my truck. I also could not drop off near my new storage location, again I was never asked about mileage at checkout. I would have asked for more miles up front. Ramona was fabulous and gave me a credit for getting a broken truck. It didn't cover all of my mileage overage charge, but it covered enough to make me feel better.The fact that she was a decent human being salvaged this whole rental experience for me. I know that she went above and beyond to try to rectify my situation. I highly recommend her-she manages both the Tilton and Moultonborough New Hampshire locations.

Robert C.Our 10 x 10 unit was one of several in a row with poor drainage outside the door which resulted in standing water with slippery silt under it. When accessing the unit, i could not avoid my shoes and socks getting soaked and I nearly slipped and fell from the silt. All the other units in the facility are graded properly for drainage but these several around 1623 are a problem. Should be easy to fix.
