The tire pressure warning was on because they had a spare tire on I set up spouse to be withthe added insurance like I have done every time I use uhaul when I said something about it I got ignored and then told nothing she could do which at that point I said something about calling corporate and not what she said but how she said it was being a smart ass I run a business and have had a truck down and have been using a truck for the last month a few days a week for 200 plus miles a time and I can spend my money at other places then deal with the smart remarksGarry C.

Tell them the right price when they call the 1800uhaul. They told me 59cent a mile an when I got to the store it was 99.. and they gave me a reservation for the wrong truck. then I had to go 20 miles away to get the right truck so that's 60 miles cuz they set me up for the wrong reservation. Then when I thought that the insurance was only $20.while I had my rental I call the 1800 number two time first time they said it's only 19,99 to rent another day ok that was fine next day 45,99 plus insurance... I had to pay extra hell i don't even know how much more cuz on the email you can't even make out what it even shows what you paid.. so yes I'll never rent again very unsatisfied but at both store the workers were niceCierra P.

Aubrey or Audrey was very rude and short. Would not offer half price of car trailer I rented when vehicle wouldn't start and could not get vehicle on trailer. Brought it back after a little over an hour. The girl checking me out needs to learn some basic customer service and not act hood.Rob C.

My reservation was canceled without any explanation even though it was confirmed both online and with the mobile app on the day of pickup. Had to drive 20 minutes out of my way to pick up another truck and was never offered compensation for mileage or anything. Certainly disappointing and felt like I was being put over a barrel since I needed a truck that day regardless.Daniel B.

Be on time. The location wasn't open when it was supposed to be. My rental was for 730, I got there at 715 and nobody was there. It wasn't open which set me back on things I had to get done. But everything else went smoothly.Sharon S.

We extended our contract by 7 days. We were not told it would be another complete monthly charge(not prorated). When we got the receipt we were shocked to find out it was double the amount we initially paid! We were charged for two months for five weeks of usage. Very disappointed that we were not told.jeff T.
The only issue I had, which did not necessarily have to do with the Trotwood location, was I registered on-line and checked-in on-line, but still had to wait in line. What was the purpose? If you intended on-line registration / check-in to be the "new" method for a streamlined customer experience, it was not. It was pointless to me.Carla W.

Have had 2 experiences here. The first was fine. The second, not so much. They gave us a truck on empty. Told us to bring it back with at least quarter of a tank and would refund us $27. You've seen gas prices, right? We put $85 in it and after driving a couple miles realized there was a serious issue with a tire. Took it back and were given another truck with much less gas than we just returned. Upon using and returning the second unit, they refused to take it because it â€œdidn't have enough gas- less than half a tankâ€. We asked if they could just keep the refund they offered and the person at the counter claimed to know nothing about that. Expensive and cumbersome experience this go around.Jordan K.

I've been a customer for many years and in the past few years have spent a great deal of money with you on renting trucks. I buy storage units at auctions as you know some units can be pretty nasty. You've never had a problem with the cleanliness of any truck I've returned. Until today that is. I was charged $50 for not cleaning out the truck. I rented it to pick up new cabinet, wood flooring and 14 sheets of drywall from home depot. I did as i always do and sweep it out and make sure there is no trash in the front or back of the truck which I'll add that there was a coke and Gatorade bottle under the passenger seat that I found when I was inspecting the truck. I did not say anything because it's something that could easily be missed when an employee is checking out the truck for the next customer. Anyway, I was charged because there was some white chalkie lines in the truck from removing the drywall. The two employees made a big deal out of it saying its extremely hard to get that chalkie power out of the truck and talked down to me like i was an idiot. The assistant manager as he called himself lied to me when I asked him if he had inspected the truck himself before charging me $50 as I walked to my car he then went and looked in the truck. I do have pictures of the bed of this truck and can tell you that I've personally and bet numerous other customers of U-Haul have rent a lot dirtier trucks than the way I left it. So i suggest training the employees better and change some policies. One person should not have the ability you hand out a charge or fine if you will. Especially if they are not management.Jody C.

The customer service rep who assisted me when I went to pick up the truck assured me that the dolly was in the truck. When I got to my destination, there was no dolly. Stephen Cox whose name plate said owner was very unprofessional. Charged me for another day even though my contract said drop off was 6pm. He said it was 415. I showed him contract and asked him to call someone at corp. He said go ahead and call he was done I could either pay or never rent from uhaul again. He even wrote down that the truck was returned at 605 even though I was in office for over thirty min with 15 min with no staff and a customer in front of me waiting to pick up. He told this customer to make sure that they replaced fuel or corporate would charge 6/ gallon and he didn't think corp deserved it and they rip off customers. I believe this man committed fraud with my transaction and if I don't get a response from corp uhaul I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. This rep turned his back and walked away and one his employees apologized for him and said he was having a bad day, no need to take out on customers. I don't know if I will be able to use uhaul again because of the poor attitude at the return end.Amy Y.

Hire an employee who loves people and their job!! Employee would not leave door open where sensor would open the door so we had to swipe the card EVERY time we needed to enter the building which meant leaving a person standing by the door loosing man power needed. Order was put in online. Ordered trailer and ball with insert for trailer hitch already on car for pickup in Tipp City, Ohio. Went to pick up and was told I had to go to Trotwoo, Ohio for equipment. Asked about ball and insert and told I could get at Trotwood. Went the approx 20 miles to get equipment and was told that I had to get ball and insert from the location I had just been at. Therefore had to drive back to original store get ball and insert, then drive back to Trotwood. This is unreasonable for all this extra driving with gad at about $5 a gallon let alone the time I lost.Kelly S.

When I rented the 15' truck, I had issue with the usable space reduced due to your dolly and furniture blankets inside the truck bed. Akin to the minibar in hotel rooms. The Uhaul mgr said there was nothing he could do. I find this a usery policy. As a customer I should be able to get a discount for hauling your equipment around. I'm sure there is some law that prohibits such business practices. Otherwise I appreciate having Uhaul for my use when needed.Ellen D.

You changed the location for pickup but didn't let me know about it until I was at my requested pickup location. The email about the location change came the day after I dropped it off. More help is needed, inside and outside, on duty around the holidays. Help is needed with strapping down a vehicle to a car transporter. My daughter had to watch a video, over and over, showing her how to put the straps on the tires. We had to ask another customer what part of the car is the frame, because the video said to attach the chain to the frame. If we had known we had to strap it down ourselves we would have brought a mechanic, or had a tow truck driver to meet us there. Not only did we have to wait two hours for the transaction to process, but it took another hour to try to strap the car down, it was a 100Â° outside that day! I sent my daughter to ask the manager for help, since he had come outside, manager insisted on her watching the video, even when she asked for clarity about the instructions given, he referred her back to the video. When I first rented a unit it wasn't the size I wanted and there was misunderstanding about the unit . So I will up getting 2 units instead of 1 the misunderstanding was not my fault it was there's. Then some of my money was taking out of my account didn't have a clue where it was going. Find out U-HAUL was talking money out of my account they call it auto pay. Didn't know this because when you take money from anybody account u r supposed to let them know that payment has been made from your account And Thank You for your payment. I didn't get no thank you for your payment no anything it took me 2 days to find out where my money went to. That's not how you handle business with customers at all. We arrived to drop off our truck after hours. The location was clean and organized. When we were trying to answer the questions on the app, it glitched 3 times in a row before could get confirmation that the truck was properly returned. It finally got to the point we were not sure if they information went through. When we tried to call the next morning we were on hold for over 30 minutes could not get ahold a person to confirm that way either. It was not until I received an email from Uhaul with my final receipt did I know that everything went through. Other than the technically glitches, our experience with the truck was a good one.Pamela M.

We were given a very old (damaged) trailer. Took it to Oklahoma from Ohio and on arrival we couldn't get door open and door collapsed. We had to have it towed from VRBO driveway in OK and go pick up a new one. Welding came out of trailer and we were lucky it didn't collapse on the road. Check trailers thoroughly before renting. When returning the trailer back to location in Ohio, the General manager took 3 days rental off our bill for all of our hassle. Great customer service in the endGreg D.

The owner was very rude. We moved out of our unit so I came in to cancel the unit most things that you don't use a full month for companies prorate that he failed to mention any event to me went out to check the unit came back in then I ask him about the prorating since they just drafted my account on the ninth and the move out date was the 18th he said sorry we don't prorate anything so I proceeded to tell him not to cancel it then I wasn't gonna lose $100That we would keep it until the following month he pulled a paper out of the printer laid it on the desk and said sorry I've already checked you out that's pretty crappy of a business that you can't Prorate something that someone is not usingCasey E. | Expérience générale
