Customer service was terrible...guy kept going out to smoke a cigarette...waited almost 2 hours to pick up van that was not available, then was told i couldn't get the 50 $guarantee because i waited smh.... I think the employee might be into something illegal. The van I was supposed to get was in the parking lot then it wasn't, guy ran out then came back in to tell me the van was gone again!! I asked him what was going on he said he went to get gas an hour later waited for him to finally return. I only waited because i had to use the van to move my daughter out of her dorm never again will i go that location!Tavia W.

The equipment didn't work very well. The cabin door got stuck open. The truck seat belts didn't work. Dealing with the equipment and roadsides assistance was a great hassle however Samantha at the Trotwood location made it all better during checkout. This is not location dependent ! Seeking to do as much as possible prior to truck pickup & start of the moving experience & because "Online Check-In" was a requirement; I was unable to complete the check-in because I could not check the box that I had read & understood the contents of 2 different manuals on truck operation. I was unable to load either manual to read & understand the contents. The agent at the pickup station was not able to tell me how to access these manuals prior to pickup.RICHARD M.

My name had been entered into system incorrectly. Everytime I went in to pay it took 15 to 20 min just to find my account. Twice I was double charged a late fee and was told sorry that's just how the system calculates. I feel that this was the poorest choice I could have made for storage. During my trip the right windshield wiper blade flew off while on the highway and nearly hit my wife's car who was trailing me. In addition, the left windshield wiper would not work at all. This could've been a dangerous situation as it had snowed the night before and the roads were kicking up salt on the windshield. I did not have any problem with the facility, but the equipment was suspect.Wendall W.

I live in Dayton ohio and we had snow on the ground they gave us a truck the traction didn't work and tires were bald we had to pay a tow truck to come pull us out of a parking lot two times this really cost us i will never rent here again they charged us 74 dollars for three hrs and the tow truck driver charged us 100 horrible day.Dannie P.

Rented a tow dolly and upon loading the vehicle noticed one of the tie down straps were torn and ready to break so made the journey and when I returned it made them aware of it and the immediately decommissioned it until repairs were made. Very knowledgeable and professional.JEREMY H.

I will never use this specific uhaul location ever again. I am disgusted with how they handled my situation knowing they were in the wrong. I spoke with over 10 people in regards to my situation and they still railroaded me with fees that weren't valid because they can do what they choose. I will continue to share my experience with anyone who asks just to make sure they steer clear of this facility and the crappy operating system. Very clean facilities. The only complaint is the lack of lighting and motion sensors in our area. The nearest sensor was not pointed out by staff upon the initial inspection of our unit but we figured it out later. I would have assumed motion sensors would be on each main aisle to turn on lights as you walk towards back of the facility. I had an awesome experience at your newer facility in Trotwood. I am impressed by the pricing, the layout and the innovative pickup drop off convenience of the truck and easy storage options. I didn't have any issues until I passed the office hours. Around 7:05 my boyfriend tried to ask about the 24/7 service if it applied for the return of the truck. They completely ignored him while he stood at the entrance waving at the 3 employees inside. He asked me to give a shot as he returned to help us unloading the truck inside the drop off interior area. I then went and stood waving for 5 minutes. I had the lady give me the wait signal with one finger. Another gentle looked at me and said something to the gentleman who helped me with setting up my storage (after 6pm). The gentle who helped me with my storage looked me dead in my face twice and later walked around the counter and turned his back on purpose. It's understood that the office hours were over. But I had a very simple question. Does U-Haul 24/7 option apply to my purchase. I called customer service and held for over10 minutes just to ask a simple question. I pray I have no other issues with my belongings being in their care. All was great except for unprofessional behavior, may train employees to explain the 24/7 option when close to closing.Dominique T. | Premières impressions

The guy who assisted me when above and beyond ! I really appreciated it. Every making sure I had a closer unit as I am 6 months pregnant. He even was helpful before I decided on the storage unit. He helped me carry boxes to my car. Did I mention he handled this all alone while serving each customer to the highest level. In the past, my experiences with U-Haul were positive. Unfortunately, this will be the last contract I will have with U-Haul. The customer service was the worst I have every experience ANYWHERE. The clerk was VERY disrespectful! And it appears no one is willing to do anything about it. I have filed 2 complaints and may file a 3rd one - my only hope is that management/corporate will resolve this issue quickly before losing any future consumers. I will never use UHaul storage ever again. Worse experience I've ever had. When we got to the storage unit we couldn't use the number to get into our unit, besides that I ask for a 10/20 unit and they gave me 10/10 unit. Carts provided are too few and too small - requires many trips to unload. Only one flat cart and holds only 4 large U-Haul boxes. Would had been worse had we not brought two of our own moving dollies. Card readers not working properly - was not able to obtain working card entry after two cards were issued (and worked properly in the showroom).
