The young man (his last name is Young) was such a good help. He was meticulous in making sure the trailer was hooked up properly. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. Good man. He represents you well.
Ricky Y.I made my reservation online. I ordered something to help us with the move. It was all supposed to be in the truck when we got there, it wasn't. My key was not in the pickup box. When I went in the younger lady was not helpful at all. She was extremely lazy and barely spoke. There was an older lady that jumped in to help. The older lady clearly did not need to be lifting somethings on her own. The young lady brought 4 boxes to the Truck then told me and my friend that we could come get the rest. I went inside to get the moving blankets I had ordered. When I went in, the younger lady again did not speak. I looked to my right and the older lady was coming from the back, dragging 2 bundles of blankets. I helped her. She told the younger girl that she had called for her help but no response. I was so mad, I had my friend go help the older lady. She turned down my friends help, brought the remaining bundles to the truck and apologized to us. Whoever the younger lady the was working at 1:00pm, should be under discipline action for being so rude and a HORRIBLE teammate. I am a manager myself, I would fire any employee that had such a disregard for their teammates and customers.
Tiffany J.I made a reservation in advance, the last tells me at 7:00 am that there are no trucks available and that I'll have to go to another location, even though there were several trucks parked outside, when i express my concern she shut down emotionally. Everytime i said anything and acted if i was bothering her. Also it took 30 whole minutes for this process when i was suppose to do mobile entry. I will never use U-Haul again.

Richard H.First off doing a reservation online is worthless It took 30-45 min to get a storage unit. Ok I get they're busy now when I get the unit it's filthy roaches everywhere alive and dead the unit is 6 feet tall but halfway it's slanted to I ended up getting another unit( so I paid twice) which has a mouse trap inside. I just moved 1200 miles so I didn't have time to find another storage facility this location was convenient pick up a truck storage unit same spot. The ladies working the evening shift were pretty helpful the morning shift not so much there was no since of urgency just not good customer service.
ALISHA P. | Premières impressionsOne of the trailer tires was bald, my son-in-law and I had to personally help jack up the trailer and change the tire, even had to go to the maintenance room and find the correct socket for the impact wrench. The two ladies there were doing all they could and were working hard, however this trailer should have never been on the line with this tire in the shape it was in. I actually feel I deserve a partial refund.

The air conditioning didn't work, the drivers door pull handle was barely hanging on, the window crank was broken, and the truck had trouble starting a few times. I was less than happy with the truck I was given. I was also told my rental truck was at a location across town. I got there and the place was closed with no truck in sight. After getting in contact with U-haul, they informed me that my pickup location had moved across town without me being notified. This "mistake" on u-hauls part put us an hour behind schedule. With the pickup location issues, and the horrible truck I was given, I would rate my overall experience as Very Poor, with the exception of the pickup/drop-off location. The staff there was excellent.
Justin S.The service person was unpleasant. She failed to provide the items I had purchased online and the items rented. I had to return to the store to ask for the items. Not all we're available. She acted more interested in me on my return trip. I realized other workers were there and assume among them was her manager. Her attitude and lack of attention to me was inexcusable. She did not show me my truck. I had to try the key in vehicles to locate it. Three of the rented items were not available. I was not advised of this until the time of picking up the truck. I asked a number of simple questions such as ,â€Do I need to refill the gas in the truck?†She said I'd get “paper to read.†It was shameful the way I was treated. It was nearly identical to the way I was treated on my prior rental. On that rental the truck broke down on me out of town. It also was a horrible experience. I am sorry to have to report these issues as I was embarrassed before those with me by the way we were being treated.

Mike W.I had issues with uploading photos to the site for equipment inspection of prior damage to truck. There was clear damage on each side of vehicle, but the latest image had no markings on photo, addressing damages. Also could not upload photos of my own, to show such damage, because website would timeout or fail on last upload. That needs to be fixed, and uploading a photo should just work, considering it is 2022. I spent 2,5 hours trying to get it to work, but only after talking with U-Haul reps, told me I could save them locally to my phone if needed later. Also, when renting furniture pads, it ought to be advertised in a distinguishable location, that the price quoted is for each day. Even in store when I asked, I wasn't informed the price was for each day, nor was it labeled on the invoice. Otherwise, truck was nice and clean, and the pickup and drop-off, was both simple and quick.

John M.I returned a 5x8 trailer on a Sunday night after hours. I have used this location before and knew they supported 24/7 returns, and they had additional information about how to go online to return items. It is the website I had challenges with. When I got to step 3(?) to take a photo (or multiple photos) of the trailer I was returning the page would either freeze up, or would just not let me progress past that page. All other questions from the website had been answered and no other information was given. After a dozen attempts and restarting the website / phone / etc. I gave up and called U-Haul's customer service where I spent another 30 minutes before having my call answered. The Customer Service Representative was very helpful. I did not have to return to or call the Drop-off location.

Jerry and his people were excellent in assisting me with a nightmare billing boondoggle created by the previous folks. I had been billed for three units two of which the Jackson office believed I had possibly stolen. I rented one unit for 12 months for storage at my home while under repairs. The other two were "phantoms." I have done business with this location for over 20 years with very little in the way of issues. I am retired military and have done business with U-Haul for over 35 years with no issues. I am also the retired International and Ford Diesel Truck Dealer in Tupelo having had someone with my same name there since 1938. We were one of the highest achieved dealerships in the company's history and number one of only five dealers on the National Dealer's Council for North America. The new U-Haul GM, Jerry, has hit the ground running in Tupelo and is well into the process of making an "aircraft carrier turn around on a dime." His prompt attention and professionalism are commendable as is his diligence in looking out for his company. I look forward to working with him again. I had been contacted six times by phone by the previous employees who, after speaking with me, said everything was fine after I inquired as to if there was a problem, since they were calling so much.
Sam G P.Team didn't know what equipment assigned. The truck I was given was dirty and not washed out. Whoever used the truck prior smoked in it. The right front tire was at 60 psi.. thankfully I had a compressor to air it up. The car transport also had a flat tire.

Leslie T.I had the truck for 24 hours, had to move in the rain and was charged a “cleaning†fee on return for what I assume the driver side floor and the back being a little wet. May have gotten a little wet but no mud. I even put extra gas in the tank (with record high gas prices) and my generosity wasn't considered before they charged “extra feesâ€. Mileage allotted was also insufficient for a one way move, it doesn't allow hardly any room for picking up or dropping off a load. I didn't have to put more gas than required. No good deed goes unpunished I suppose. If you're going to charge cleaning fees for the floors getting wet, either don't rent on rainy days or warn the customers.

contessa e. | Expérience généraleI rented a truck on Feb. 28, 2022 at 2:30pm. They gave cancelled my rental and gave my truck away to a random person. There is a very young blonde girl who works there, she claimed that they thought the lady they gave the rental to was the same person because she had the same last name as the account owner(my mom). I purposefully did not book the rental on my account because they have always given me a hard time when having to deal with them. I made a brand new account in my mom's name since she would be the driver. I read online that my mom would have to provide her driver's license before they could give her the truck, so them giving the rental to a stranger at a 11am(not 2:30), I knew that they were lying. They just gave the rental away because of it being a rental for me. Like I said, they always have given me a head time and made me uncomfortable on every single occasion. I will never deal with U-Haul ever again. You need to be careful who you hire and make sure they will not discriminate people they are supposed to serve just because of their appearance or sexuality.

I arrived and my unit that I reserved on the phone was not available or unknown from the store staff. It was a short turn around from reserving the space but it felt like I was sold something that didn't exist. The store staff walked the halls and found a few open and empty spaces and made it work.

And they were my keys and lock! I didnt need them anymore. I have not even been on that side of town since then....and yet they continued to charge me, sued me and auctioned something off for $1. Not that i cared.....since i CLOSED IT! Plus they always had a truck parked right in front of the units. Its inconvenient to never be able to access ur unit because the parking lot is so small and awkward and junked up. They never had adequate help...so the long wait for them to be able to move the trucks to access the unit was unnecessary and inconvenient. Id never recommend Uhaul in tupelo ms to anyone ever. Id recommend u just close the place down. Poor poor poor all across the board. Thumbs down
