Such great, friendly and professional employees made everything so pleasant and convenient and went out of their way to help me out!
When picking up the vehicle the workers were polite and helpful. When I returned the vehicle the lady that was working was disrespectful, short and dismissive of my questions. For this reason I will not be using this location in the future and will use Enterprise for truck rentals moving forward. Also, charging for additional days when there is inclement weather is a horrible practice.
Kevin reminded me that there are folks in this world who still care about people. He was more than accomadating and always helpful. The staff seems to enjoy working there. Morality of any business starts at the top. Would tell anyone to go there, even if its out the way.
This is the 3rd time i have used this location for a rental truck in the last few months. Kevin and his team are fantastic to work with. Excellent customer service.
There were extra charges upon returning the equipments and I was charged twice for the same day.
The person who helped process our order pushed a one-way drop off. Having never used a U-Haul for our small business, we went with the recommendation. I was very disappointed he chose not to take the time to help us figure out that in town driving would have saved our business money.

My complaints are as follows: 1.Getting a person on the phone who works at the facility. Long wait times, then a message is taken to be returned later. 2. Long wait times to speak to someone at the facility. They seem short staffed. 3. Computerized billing was not up to date on my account. The result was unwarranted dunning letters about my bill.
Overall we made it to our destination but not without issues. The first issue was a phone call that our trailer wasn't recorded correctly so updated that information after leaving the TX U-haul. The second issue came in Ashtabula, OH when it rained/snowed. Pulled over by trooper for faulty lighting. Discovered fuse blew and continued to on multiple occasions. The Ashtabula U-haul location was amazing.help. Arrived in Burlington, VT after having been delayed due to fuse issue. U-haul did not charge for days over due date which was appreciated. U-haul installed the hitch and the wiring with warranty purchase. I believe the wiring on the trailer was faulty as I never had lighting issues with the truck. Overall after 1800 miles everything worked out.
Nothing! You did everything great. From the guy who hooked the trailer up to my truck to the girl that unhooked it when we returned it in the afternoon of the same day, everything went great. I was able to accomplish what I had intended to get done that day.
Though Brandy is new she handled my move as if she was with the company for a while. Truly impressed and glad things went smoothly.

Kevin, the manager at this location is very helpful and very professional. When renting an equipment, there's a lot of information requested from you and given to you. Kevin was diligent o make sure that happened seamlessly and was very patient during the process even though I had a lot of questions. Kuddos to Kevin.

The location was understaffed and the staff that was there did not seem to know what units were what size and whether or not the units were available or not. It took over one hour to rent the units meanwhile I had paid movers waiting and the clock ticking while the chaos in the Uhaul office and the local staff tripped over themselves to figure it out. The most annoying part was the staff did not even seem to care.
Staff was not up to par. The lockbox was very difficult to get into and needed to hunt for staff to assist.
A great place to rent, with helpful staff.

Took the first Uhaul and the check engine light came on. Immediately returned it and they gave us a different truck with no questions asked.

I have rented from UHaul at least 30 times in my life. I have never been asked for the address I was moving from and to, the name of the storage facility and a few other irrelevant questions. I had already told him the estimated mileage I was going to drive which is all I can see that was relevant. I politely told the manager it was non of his business and he proceeded to complete the rental process. Too many companies now push for customers personal information for their own marketing and god-knows what other reasons. If I ever go to another UHaul that asks me personal information that is not necessary for the rental of a truck, it will be the last time I use UHaul. UHaul, stay in your own damn lane and keep out of your customers personal business.
Service was a bit slow due to customer volume, but went smoothly and the staff was professional and courteous. The truck was "fine" for what it was... a 1 day rental to move stuff.
To make sure all trailers are fully inspected, the one I rented was a car hauler and it should have not been in service, the right front strap needed was was unusable due to the strap being damaged and half gone.
Have a line for people that have already made reservations and completed information by phone so they don't have to wait in line for 30-45 minutes to pickup their truck. Customer service personnel stay very busy each time I am in store. They do a good job.

Fast and Friendly
This crew is fast and thorough
What could have been a great experience, became an unpleasant experience as both tellers were not wearing masks while performing customer transactions. Their nonchalant attitude in the middle of a pandemic was frustrating to see, especially given the fact that they were putting customers at risk. Will not be visiting this location in the future nor will be recommending it to friends or family.
The clerk behind the desk was rude. She seemed bothered and annoyed that customers walked in.
Nothing, great as always. Always use this location. Had a small issue this time (double charge essentially) that was quickly taken care of as I knew it would be. Will always use this place when in the area and recommend it.
I had a reserved truck for 8am. When I arrived the truck was there, but while I was in the process of checking out with contactless pickup, an employee got in the truck and took off. I told him I was checking out that truck and he replied “ok then I'll bring it to youâ€. He then proceeded to run whatever errand he set out to do and I had to wait 10 minutes for him to bring the truck back. I had to go inside to complain. Rather than give me the other truck that was sitting right there, they made me wait for the guy to come back. Not a good experience at all.
The first employee that I met with that check me out was just amazing 🤩 very helpful and took her time to explain everything. I have use this location in the pass and the experience wasn't the same. When I turn in the Vehicle the second encounter was not as pleasant. I felt there was tension but there was very little conversation. It was not the same vibe as earlier that day, it wasn't bad just uncomfortable.
The employees were rude. One of them made me feel stupid when I told him my renting through the mobile option wasn't working, and again when I asked him to show me how to operate vehicle. I've never driven a moving truck, so it was new for me and things were different. Another employee walked past me and didn't acknowledge me when I tried to speak with him.
The truck was not parked where the app had pictured. We went inside to ask where it might be and we were rudely asked to form a line in a different direction. We waited 20 minutes in the line and decided to walk the lot to find it ourselves. We eventually found it in the back. All of the photos of the truck were wrong. The pickup process made us late.
Drop-off took less than 5 minutes
U-Haul Moving & Storage of West McKinney has to have the most professional and helpful staff in the UHaul organization. Traveled here from Colorado with a different drop off location and storage unit. The UHAUL at 1566 US Hwy 380 W Prosper, TX 75078 where I was to drop off and use storage did not honor my reservation and happens to be the rudest and unprofessional staff in the country. Not sure how they are still employed. Almost embarrassed for the company. However, the staff in McKinney was the polar opposite and went above and beyond to accommodate us.

The staff is well served ,five stars for them.but the price is too expensive.the number of miles from departure to destination is not enough.Your system is extra $40 /day late and extra 0.40/mil.so we refunded it early. Why No discount? Your system is unreasonable. This is the last time rent a car from your company. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Truck was parked in the very back of lot for early pickup on a Sunday morning and moving van smelled like someone bred German Shepard in the back for 15 years(fucking gross) all my shit smells like a wet dog now! Thanks guys! Check in process sucked harder than my ex girlfriend while in Vegas on a girls trip. No Cap.
This location took forever and when we returned the U-haul they emailed is saying we broke the dolly! The associate that took the U-haul truck after we returned it said nothing about the dolly being broken. He checked the back and told my husband everything was good and that they would email the receipt. Why didn't he point out right then and there that the dolly was damaged? We didn't damage it and we are being charged $150 for it. Plus, they are saying we didn't put gas when we did. My husband took a picture of were the gas meter was and we left it just a bit above that. The gas station we went to was down the street were the UHaul was located so we couldn't have possibly used up the gas for a 3 min drive. You guys need to manage your locations and associates better. Seems like they are trying to pin us on a dolly they broke. I called customer service and they told me the manager would call me back and its been over an hour and I am still waiting.
Not sure if there's much you can do to improve. The young man that helped me was one of the most efficient workers I've ever had help me. He handled 2 customers at once and had me in and out of there and back on my way very quickly. I wish everyone who helps customers worked like that.
Our agent was fantastic! went over everything clearly, explained the paperwork and numbers to call if we had any difficulties.

Everything went pretty well. One issue with the initial reservation not completed / uploaded / saved in their system but I called a day prior to confirm and it was cleared up at that point.
Charged me for one unit (10x15) and after paying at the front desk a certain amount, The employee took us to the unit and it had a lock on it indicating that it was occupied. They did not have another large climate controlled unit so they decided to give me 2 smaller units (10x10) for a set price. We went to pay for our 2nd month and the total was for 100 dollars more. The manager said that he would email the main office to keep it the same as before and get back with us. We appreciate the manager working with us and waiting for the results.
They need more counter help
Great customer service from employees, as well as management. Professional and efficient. This location is always busy, but everytime I went whoever helped me never made me feel rushed or unimportant. Great team!

The facility is nice and clean and well stocked. The regular employees are knowledgeable and helpful. However when we went on 10/17/2020 there was a replacement crew since the owner was on vacation. The rest of the regular staff was not scheduled to come in until 130 in the afternoon but Saturday mornings are crazy busy and this replacement staff knew about UHaul but not about that location. I had to wait in long lines four times to get problems solved and answers to questions. I still don't have a lot of confidence that the UBox that we filled will be shipped correctly. ALSO THIS FACILITY DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH PARKING. It is crazy and dangerous there with so many, cars, trucks and people darting all over in a tiny space.
1. Not enough employees available to handle the number of customers waiting. 30 min wait for a respresentative to help. 2. 800 number for help is useless. No one answers .. long long wait.ended up hanging up. 3. After hours return instructions for people without a phone is useless.
Please give a shout out to Brandon. Brandon was da bomb! He knows his stuff. He checked me in when I moved in and checked me out when I left about three weeks later. He seems to be a part of a very hard working staff. He definitely needs to be given a raise or at least acknowledged. I did see a couple of very lazy employees. Those guys should be fired. I’m hopeful you guys know your workers better than me and take the right actions.
Awful communication! Signed up and completed the auto draft process twice! Did not work, and was never advised that it was not working correctly. Never notified that I had a payment due until it was past due and a late fee was applied. You guys are crooks and should be ashamed of how you do business! Uhaul will never get another cent from me or anyone I can turn away!
Severely understaffed
Phillip was excellent. He was super helpful and polite. He gave outstanding service. Parking at the facility is lacking and on a busy Saturday the place was a zoo waiting for a fender bender.
The staff was EXTREMELY professional and helpful. I have had nothing but the best experiences with this location.
I lowered the rating because the 2 guys that were there during the afternoon wore no masks, even though my wife and I did, and made no moves to put them on. On the other hand, the guy there the next morning put his mask on the moment I entered the door.

I rented a climate control unit and was never able to gain entrance through outside glass doors. Card was replaced and still didn't work. After making multiple trips to facility and still unable to gain access through card reader, decided not to use this facility.
Employee were not welcoming and friendly. They made me upgrade to size I originally reserve.
No accommodations for a 10x20 storage facility that I reserved. All he could offer 4 5x10 spaces and no price adjustment. The alternative was to go to another location, which the employees were respectful and professional.
They did not comply with the reservation, I reserved a 10 x20 climate control and did not offer any other practical solutions, ended up going to a different location and cost me about 3 hours unloading time.
Phillip moved me into my storage unit. He was polite, prompt, and very knowledgeable. He took time to explain the billing processes and he gave us a personal tour to our storage location. I appreciate great customer service and support as this tends to be becoming rare experiences with businesses nowadays.
Pricing was much higher than what it was worth. Worst issue was having our things infested with cockroaches. We ended up killing nearly 50 of them which crawled out of our personal belongings once we moved our things into new apartment. Not very happy with that whatsoever. My experience with U-Haul Moving & Storage of West McKinney was outstanding and fully satisfactory.
Customer service was beyond exceptional. Never have I had anyone go to the lengths every person I interacted with had gone.

Only one comment. Having a seperate card reader for check in and door access and trying to handle a cart on the incline in front of the door is difficult. It would be nice if the door could be set to be open for 30 seconds or so.

I rented 2 large storage units from July - December, 2019. Multiple times I had to negotiate around trucks parked in front of my units. When I moved out, my boxes were infested with roaches.
Small office but nice and friendly.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.
Parking for unloading and loading can sometimes be a little hectic.
The store manger all the way down the chain from outside personnel and everybody in uniform were happy and helpful I always rent from this uhaul if I can great experience
My only change would be the addition of a light inside each unit, to make visibility better. I always wished my unit had more light, other than that coming in from the hall.

Great experience - until your automated gate stop working. I tried to be patient but it has been over a few months without it working. Having to get in and out of RV to put the code was a hassle.

This UHaul facility was the best I've worked with. They were very helpful. The only thing I could suggest is the parking is very limited and difficult to find a place when they are busy.
Access road to the back parking lot is narrow, trucks and vans are parked alongside it and there are bumps along the road that make it hard to drive out especially with a trailer. staff not friendly

Storage units were unusually over priced.
With having 6 storage units, we were at the facility constantly and got to know pretty much the entire staff by name. They were always polite & helpful. Treat them right and they will respond well.

I was in and out in no time
After scheduling the pickup of my uboxes, I went to the facility to pick them up only to find out they were not ready. They told me the earliest they could get them would be the following day at noon.
We used this storage facility for personal and business use for several years. We always had easy access whenever we needed it. Great customer service will keep us coming back for our vehicle rentals
Not all the staff is friendly, I always had the impression that they were just working there but not enjoying it. Very poor people skills towards the clients.
Kevin the General manager was awesome, he was more than accommodating and went out of his way to provide top notch customer service. The entire staff were all excellent!!
I was way overcharged. They were nice and tried to remove frivolous charges but couldn’t. I contacted corporate and they didn’t help either
Upon arrival a staff member started barking out orders. Move here not there and then the next staffer conducted himself the same way. We are new customers but treated like trespassers. Not good!

Josh and Kevin did a great job helping me over the course of a couple weeks. Hard-working and they provided outstanding customer service. Great employees that go the extra mile for their customers!
Pricing is above most storage places. Access areas most of time are blocked by parked vehicles, need more parking to avoid that.

One time when I went to the facility and they were short handed everyone was very friendly.
You have to slide your card every time you enter or leave however the place you do this I always blocked with a U-Haul truck and parked cars . This is why I switched to different storage facilitie

I rented a large unit for a year. My property was secure and in the same condition as when it was put there with exception of some dust. I recommend the facility and would use it again.
Under staffed
Employees were aloof and not interested in helping. Seemed more like a chore to do their job. Was not greeted and when I walked to a counter w an employee I was asked to move to another counter.
I had up to 5 units at a time over a 6 year period there. I finally moved not because of any dissatisfaction with the facility, but because other facilities were 40% less expensive!
