When I returned truck , I unknowingly had a small flat box left in the back. I was told I would have to take it or be charged by the unpleasant man who received the truck. Furthermore I asked if they had a recycle bin for cardboard , and He said they didn't , nor had any bins whatsoever. So , I was left looking dumb having to take a piece of cardboard home in a taxi. I guess they do not like repeat business.

Why advertise 19.99 when the bill ends up at $100 in my case? Think from the customer's perspective! In today's day and age, have an app on-line that the customer uses to reserve the vehicle - use google maps to lay out route to then derive mileage cost. Also add in information you collect at counter to speed it all up. Compare yourselves to Car Rental Companies. Time the average door to vehicle leaving lot process and see how to make that faster. Your staff are using mobile apps already for the license verification. Make that app available to smart phones and have customer do all paperwork in advance when reserving the vehicle. Then just scan license at desk to verify data and person. Think about how quick the drop off process is. Simple and fast.Then gas is nuts. Have you not been able to work this out yet?? Is it not possible just to use kms driven x average kms per litre? You already build in the km charge as is. Truck goes out full and has to come back full. Real simple. Or customer accepts reasonable per km gas charge based on odometer reading.

The system is poor and too demanding for simple rentals. Make an express version for quick rental and drop off of simple items. I spent 45 min to rent a simple hand dolly worth 7$....

I had a 24hr trailer rental reserved from 6pm on 02.07.20 to 6pm on 02.08.20. I arrived at 5:55pm and was told they had to move my return time back to 5:30pm the following day because it was not 6pm yet. Why is your system see up this way? I then had to call your customer service to request it to be adjusted to 6pm (Which they kindly did). But that was a hassle. Please change your system. This is not customer friendly what so ever. I realize i could have waited 5 minutes and then went back to your checkout to complete the rental but that it just silly for the sake of 5 minutes...

$319????? I was told I would not be charged extra. The app to rent was a nightmare, the truck was dirty inside, the gas reading was wrong and the app wouldn’t let me dispute it, the door was incredibly hard to close (broken). The key box to return the truck was not clearly labelled and I returned the furniture pads but was still charged.

I was told that in order to process my reservation it was necessary to provide an email address. I reluctantly did on the condition I would not be receiving any promotional emails. I was assured by the representative taking my reservation that I would only receive communications related to this specific rental. The very next morning I received a U Haul promotional email offering free storage. That is exactly what I did not want. I had to unsubscribe.

I like this location and have always found the crew friendly, helpful and knowledgable. I leased a small van with pull out ramp that only had 1/4 tank of gas, this can happen sometimes but, it just means one has to deal with gassing up even before they start and, usually when we pick up a truck the level of fuel in the tank is "usually" in my experience with UHaul there is comfortably nearer "at least" 1/2 a tank so one can commence their use knowing that there is enough gas to get to a preferred gas station. In my case, there was a real concern as my leased vehicle was so underpowered I could very likely run out of feul? It is also the first time I lease a unit that was not really very clean.....good group of front line employees though!

The vehicle did not have snow tires....it is January and Winter... The plate shows it is from Arizona I had to have the vehicle pulled out from a loading dock that had snow on the ground When I mentioned this to the Manager....he just shrugged it off.. ..."Uhaul doesn't spend money on snow tires." I said this is a dangerous practice... So I am not pleased with this "lax" additude. I am also out of pocket 100$ to have it pulled out Rob

They didn't scrape the windows or windshield for us like they said they would when bringing us our 15' truck. Then the rear door was frozen shut too when we went to use it and had to come back just for them to crow bar it open. Expected this to be handled before receiving the vehicle. Then the WORST part was that the vehicle was at a 1/4 tank when we got it and we filled it up before coming back and upon arriving back at UHaul it was literally a hair under the 1/4 tank mark and he said it wasn't good enough, so he made me drive a 20 minute round trip just to put $3 of gas into it otherwise he said he was going to charge me a $30 surcharge. WHAT A JOKE!!! The younger guy at the front desk was helpful at least, but the older guy was brutal.

Although this specific site was very helpful, I was very dissatisfied by the overall rental experience. I booked and confirmed a trailer pick up in Kitchener (just at the corner of my street) and only 18 hours before my scheduled pick-up time, I was called and told that I would have to drive all the way to Guelph because my confirmation got bumped. That was super inconvenient and a huge was of time., time that I had allocated to driving to my new place in Ottawa

I arrived with 10 minutes to spare of closing time. When I arrived, the door was already locked. I knocked on the door and nobody answered. I could see somebody inside. I then walked around the building to a side door. This door was open and I walked in. I said hello a few times and knocked on the door that led into the other side of the location (the first door entry), and again nobody answered. I walked back to the first entry and the employee was walking out. I approached him and he said they were closed. I explained that I was there 10 minutes ago and the door was locked and nobody answered. He disregarded what I was saying and told me that I could come back tomorrow to drop off the trailer or I could park it, take a picture and complete the return online. Not at all impressed!

I ordered the 26 foot from Erin Ontario and had to pick it up from Guelph Ontario. So I had to pay extra mileage to get it back to Erin. The truck got stuck twice on flat mildly snow cover driveway which was frustrating. Should have better tires on the back for better traction.
