Upon arrival to this location, Joe Lewis (U-Haul Associate) acknowledged me and I shared which truck I needed and immediately, he turned around and had a personal conversation with another staff member about his pay, he forgot to clock in and out yesterday, how to read stuff in a binder, talked about today's auction and how today will be a very busy day. I thought this was so unprofessional as the two staff members should have waited until I left the office to discuss all that. The other lady was off the clock as she was sharing she needed a truck to move out. Joe did not show me any attention as he was talking with her for about 10 mins. I feel that I would have left this location and went to another one, but I was working on a time crunch so I needed to do this fast. U-Haul, please work with Joe Lewis and not sure of the other Sales Associate name about customer service.

Both Al and Cheryl were knowledgeable and quite helpful in selecting and renting a storage unit. The facility itself is clean, looks to be well maintained, and has fire sprinklers.

What me and my friends/family love of uhaul is the no hassle criteria and required documents. Simply easy and quick to rent. Although I needed the truck for an hr, ms. Woods assisted me and I am very appreciative of that. I was able to get my furniture moved from the store to my home. Thanks again

THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD UP TO TODAY AND I AM 36 YEARS OLD. THIS PLACE ACCUSED US OF NOT RETURNING THE KEY IN THE DROP BOX. AFTER CALLING US AND TELLING US WE WOULD BE CHARGED FOR THE KEY 75.00. WE WENT TO THE UHAUL LOCATION. THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT FINE THE KEY AN WOULD NOT ROLL BACK THE CAMERAS TO MAKE SURE WE TURNED IT IN. SO WE ARE CURRENTLY TRYING TO GET OUR MONEY BACK WE HAD TO CALL THE POLICE AND MAKE A WHOLE POLICE REPORT. WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED OUR MONEY BACK. WE ARE STILL TRYING TO, WE HAVE CALLED CORPORATE OFFICE AND SPOKE TO PEOPLE THE WOMAN CHERYL WOOD WHO IS A MANAGER AT THE LOCATION 2890 W Sam Houston Pkwy S, Houston, TX 77042. YELLED AT US TELLING US WE LOST THE KEY AND THAT SHE WAS NOT GOING TO LOOK AT THE CAMERAS THIS IS AFTER WAITING FOR HER TO GET THERE CAUSE WE WERE TOLD ONLY THE MANAGER COULD LOOK AT THE CAMERAS.. SO AFTER HER YELLING AT US SHE SAID THE CAMERAS WAS IN PHOENIX AND WE WOULD HAVE TO WAIT... I AM PERSONALLY GOING TO CALL EVERY NEWS STATION I CAN THAT WILL TAKE THIS STORY. THIS IS THEFT AND A FORM OF BULLYING I NEVER QUITE SEEN BEFORE. MIKE IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE MANAGER WHO IS OVER THIS STORE 281995-1994 WAS THE NUMBER I WAS GIVEN FOR HIM. WHICH IS WRONG. MEKA IS A MANAGER THAT GAVE ME THE PHONE NUMBER TODAY 4/15/2019 AT 1:37 PM. CHERYL WOOD IS THE NAME OF THE MANAGER THAT IS BELIEVED WHO STOLE THE KEYS. SHE LIVES ON THIS PROPERTY. AND IS THE ONE WHO WAS AT THE UHAUL WHEN THE KEYS WERE RETURNED. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE. WE ARE A FAMILY WHO DONT DO ANYTHING BUT GO TO WORK AND HOME JUST SPENT 2000 MOVING AND NOW THIS WE CANNOT AFFORD THIS. While it all ended up okay, the experience was an ordeal. I scheduled a truck at a different place. Reservation was cancelled when I got there (10 minutes late. No grace period?) the guy was not able to get me a reservation, and the app didn’t even recognize his store. I got on the app and reserved a truck at the Westchase store. Got there...still trying to locate another store because they didn’t even have the truck I needed, even though the app reserved it for me. Then app posted a Hwy 6 location, followed 20 minutes later by changing it to Alief Saigon. I was still at Westchase trying to get a truck they had on site or I would have already been on the wild goose chase the app was sending me on. Finally, the desk personnel could give me a 20 ft. Truck....but I was able to reserve it on the app. Crazy. It took me two hours to get through all these ordeals. Ridiculous. Two people away from work for two hours to pick up a truck....a task that shouldn’t have been more than thirty minutes. I’ll be a Ryder or Penske customer from now on.

Brandon is the person who checked me in and out. He did not do a walk through of the flat bed truck nor did he suggest that I should. I then used the truck to have a friend help me move file boxes and an old desk. When I returned the desk, Brandon insisted that I clean the truck, even though it was obvious that I wasn’t the person who dirtied the truck Items in the truck included BB cap which said - Fuck Everything, a dog collar, and misc nuts/bolts. Brandon did not inspect the truck before it was given to me. Brandon did no recommend (as car companies do) that I inspect the truck before driving off. Brandon did not I verbally inform me that I would be responsible for cleaning out the truck, even though I wasn’t the one who dirtied it. But, what 20-something Brandon did do was to demand that I take my 56 year old body which suffers from severe degenerative back disease, into the truck and clean it or else incur additional charges. So, that’s what I did whip Brandon watched. Now, after jumping out of the truck, i hurt. On top of that, Brandon’s communication skills are severely lacking. After forcing me to clean up the truck, He couldn’t go off script for a second to tell me how many miles I drove. He kept saying the beginning ending mileage instead of simply answering the question. He then showed me his phone, which was set to dim, for me to vioew. I told him that I couldn’t see it. He then said, in a obvious tone, that that’s why he said I should get closer .... not for nothing but, telling someone over 50 to get closer to see something doesn’t help - it only exacerbates the situation. In the end, we his was a horrible experience and now I’m in pain. I will never rent from this location again and I will strongly advise anyone not to do so either. I will conclude with the fact that I’m not one who normally complains about service; this is one of the few times in my life that I’ve taken affirmative steps to complain about anyone or any place.

Shylmar was great a little moody in the being bu. t great. Now from start to finish this Lori Laura whatever her name is because she never told me, I heard her on the phone telling somebody her name. She is very rude unprofessional & her customer service skills need to be rechecked. I’m just glad she’s just filling in because she’ll definitely tear down the good repore most customers have had with Ms. Maria & the rest at that location. Lori Laura she need to learn how to be more friendlier and watch not what she says but the way & body language and facial expressions are always a tell tell sign when your being sarcastic or don’t want to be bother and just plan ole don’t like ur job. The fact that she has a daughter you would think she’d a bit more respectful when dealing with others. She just made my day that was already tiresome even more dreadful because of her attitude. The part that really upset me is when she was speaking to the other young lady in which I don’t know her name as well as though I wasn’t sitting there and directing comments when dealing with me to her for her deal with me. In this matter is where I could assume it’s a racial matter because the young lady was African American & so am I. She did the same think on yesterday as soon as Shylmarr hit the door she just pushed me off on her & didn’t say anything to me or anything & just left that may have been what put her in her moody I don’t know. I just know she could’ve & should’ve been more professional point blank period.I saw how she enter acted with another older African American woman on yesterday & that something else’s rolling her eyes every time the lady spoke and sighing out loud and sucking her teeth. I mean come on how obvious and unprofessional can she had been. Luckily the lady was to occupied with her own dealings to notice or maybe she did. I never leave comments but Lori Laura just pushed that limited to the fullest. You just never know what people have gone through or going through & to deal with this type of shenanigans is not work it. Thank you and prayerfully she has a better day.

The representative. Who rented the truck was un knowledgeable unprofessional he took 4 pictures of my drivers license couldn't use the Uhsul system didnt mention anything about a pre check before I drove away in the truck, couldn't tell me what size truck i rented from the same location approximately 2 months ago was rude and condescending, ignored me when I walked, and when I returned the first thing he said to me after I told him I had reserved a truck was "You're late! You were supposed to be here at 9am! I told him I rescheduled the truck rental for 11:30am he fumbled through the system then said oh yeah.. He could tell me what buttin to push for credit on the credit card machine and it took twenty mins For him to complete the transaction while other customers who were being helped by someone else were renting trucjs dropping off trucks and he seemed lost! I told. Him to get me some who knew what they were doing..I took a picture of him because he seem pre occupied with my drivers license I won't ever use Uhaul again

U have one dangerous habit. We had storage on the second floor. The elevator was occupied for and extended time and the exit doors to the stairs were LOCKED. This is deadly in case of fire.
