DARREN K.Air conditioning kept going in and out during my use, and starting it up was a bit difficult because if shifter wasn't completely in gear it wouldn't start. I've had better running trucks from u- haul.

Warren H.I had the absolute worst experience with the people who asee the phone at the phone number (734) 721-8611. When my box was delivered the latch was bent and I was unable to access my box. I called to find out what the proper procedure is to get it open. I was told they would message someone and give me a call back in a few minutes. After waiting an hour for a response I called back for an update, there were still messaging. I was in a rush because I had movers and we couldn't get anything out of the box. I explained this to the Kaitlin and Faye( I believe). Kaitlin was extremely rude. I was trying to gain clarity about the situation and why it was taking for long to figure out a solution. I asked if this was a unique situation. I asked what they were messaging instead of calling, I was told they were doing the best the could with the messaging. I think that's TERRIBLE communication espy if that's the only way they can communicate. Im the middle of me asking questions. Kaitlin stated she would have to put me on hold to her things figured out, my questions were never answered. I was told the GM would come out after getting thing closed up. I had to run out, so I asked for an ETA and a call before she came because I needed to run up the street. I had a friend go over while I was gone. When I called for an update I was told the GM stopped by and my landlord was there and she didn't have access to the box, which was impossible because the box was outside and my Landlord is sick in the hospital. I stated this and I was told the GM was going home and not coming to open my U box. I got very upset at that point and asked for them to waive liability just in case I needed to hammer it to open it. They continued to tell me if I broke it they would charge me an unknown amount, so I would have to wait. I explained that I would open it myself out of frustration. About 30 minutes later I got a call from Amanda who stated she would come out in her personal car to open the box to prevent me from being charged. She gave me an ETA and showed up to open the box. She was very helpful and polite. But the process was terrible!!!! I lost My Movers they had to leave after waiting an hour, so I ended up moving alone. WORST move of my life
kiara P.the line was so long. once i got to the front the computer system was really slow that i just stood there for so long while it processed. once i got my truck no one was there to help me load my car on the dolly. they told me i had to purchase assistance and get back in line. i was in line for over 2 hours. the key was jammed in the truck and the manager blamed me. i left feeling so un-cared for.

DIANE M.First off, I had to drive to a different location because the location I had placed an order for a month prior didn't have the truck I ordered. When I got to this other location I was told the truck was working and safe, but had minor issues and it also had no fuel in it, so I instantly had to go fill it up and put $120 into it. Right after that I learned as I drove home that the minor issues were transmission issues with this truck, it started out only going 55 mph max, and finished the drive only going 30mph max. After being only hold with Uhaul roadside assistance for a few hours they finally were able to send someone out to look at the truck….at midnight. The service mechanic claimed the truck was not fit to be driven. So not only could I not finish my move, but I wasted $120 in gas that I couldn't even use. On top of this Uhaul gave me a truck that not only put my safety at risk but everyone around me at risk.

ERIC D.It was very difficult for me to make the adjustments on the toll cart without having proper tools to do so. As well as traveling and the dark and in the rain made it very difficult to do maintenance on the cart. I appreciate your consideration on the price. I feel the U-Haul attendant was aware that the cart was not functioning properly. But I could be wrong.

Couldn't call or email me! Then I had to drive all the way to Wayne for things to be done right. I wasted 2 hrs plus gas going through that.

michael K.i arrived at the location, i waited 15 minutes before i had to knock on few doors, finally i get the mechanic's attention, the attendant arrived 5 minutes later. i asked for a dolly, i got charged for it, but she forgot to give me the dolly, i was late already and assumed it was inside the van. i called customer service and explained that i dont have the dolly, but you charged me 7,99 anyway. there was a mistake in the odometer reading by a 1000, so you charged me 400+ doller's i have a picture of the odometer shows that i didn't drive over a thousand miles in 3 hours.

Mariah H. | Expérience généraleEvery time I call no one answered at the location that I was calling. That was Michigan and Arizona. The phone would transfer to another location or go to voicemail. No none called back. I was told that my U-Box would be delivered to my home when I scheduled in Michigan. Also I was under the impression it was included in my payment and Arizona said not only does it work that way but it will cost extra. My U-Box was supposed to leave Mi on the June 21st and didn't leave until the June 27th. When I went to pick up my U-box I was there for over 30 minutes with only 1 person working up front and she said the other 3 guys were standing in the back talking. She had to go in the back two time to get assistance. I will never use U-haul again or refer the any one to them.

REGINALD P.Excellent service. I was there july 16th and there was only 1 lady working. There was at least 20 people ahead of me and people kept comming in. She worked 3 windows at once and answered the phone. This lady was amazing and had a great attitude. I couldn't give her enough compliments. She sure does deserve a raise. She did the work of 3 people . Overall I had a great experience. Went back Sunday and they were just as friendly. Yes I would recommend uhaul in westland michigan.

Bob R. | Premières impressionsI was over Charged for Miles on the Truck also it took me 2 hours to get the code for the keys had to call the 24 hour hotline 5 times to get the code also when I returned truck it would not allow me to return so I had to call the number again wait a hour so I was charged fee for a truck I could not use.

I was accused by return check in staff, of unhooking the trailer due one of the 3 chains not being installed correctly. Uhaul's check out picture showed they hooked the chain incorrectly. Check in staff was beyond rude.

I called the office and explained that the unit was never used and was empty and that I had lost the key to cut the lock. I do NOT have access to a car and am disabled. The office staff continued to bill me afer I cancelled the unit. I have made a complaint to the BBB and will be making a complaint about being discriminated against because I am disabled. I have proof that I completed the cancellation request and was paid in full. If someone can call me to fix this I will be happy to withdraw my complaint. 734-833-8603. Thank you Sheri Naidus

So i moved to another company all together that was able to meer my needs. The black lady manager was awesome. I vacated my unit nearly 2 weeks early and they said no refund for prorate. I will not send anyone here, nor will i rent from Uhaul at this location.

Naomi H. | Premières impressionsCheck in took a very long time, the person who checked me in took the order of a person who came behind me while I waited in the chair waiting to do the paperwork, he told me that the unit had been booked 4 times and had to make sure I could get the unit. Then I was given a reprogrammed used access card. When I get to my unit there is a lien lock and customer lock. They then open their lock and cut the old lock off, and there was an old mattress in the unit I had reserved.

Trying to get storage unit situated they left truck on which I didn't know was on and went from Wayne rd to Newburgh and brought back which should be very near gas line and I was charged $20. If they would've left keys out I wouldn't have to gas up smh. Come in at 6:57 was told that they would've to process me for next day so this is just poor
