Reservation was made over a month in advance and I was called the day before to be made aware that the location I chose did not have a truck and that I would have to use the above location. This was out of the way and just unacceptable to me. I was rudely told it was my only option. I then passed the location I requested as well as two others that were closer that all had trucks sitting at the location. I will not use Uhaul again

We had asked to pick up the truck at 5:30 or 6:00, but the person taking our order decided to put down 4:00. The U-Haul co. called and left a message on our home phone wondering if we still wanted the truck. Didn't even get off work until 5:00 so fortunately the truck was still available when we called, but could have been a very unfortunate situation if it were not available at 6:00 as we originally requested. Also, even though there were two U-Haul places in Centerville (where we were moving the furniture) we were not allowed to drop the truck off there, but had to drive out of our area to Beavercreek to return the truck instead. It should have been your problem to get it to the location that was convenient for U-Haul ----- not ours. We only wanted a truck to drive from Worthington to Centerville. Our entire trip and move went smoothly until we were tired & exhausted from the move and had to drive forever looking for a location that we couldn't find because of poor directions.

The gentleman whom checked me in for truck pick up and the other gentleman whom check the truck back in on return both were excellent service staff representatives for your company. Truck was new and that was a blessing. Did have a tire blow out on way back, that was scary, but everything was okay. Thanks a lot for offering the truck rental service.

Increase parking and turn-around space...... Pickup went smooth, however when I attempted to return the trailer at 7:01PM, the office door was locked. Closes at 7PM. (I busted my butt to get back before closing!) "Open" sign is still on. The attendant would not assist and yelled from his desk, through the locked glass door "use the after-hour return on-line". I attempted the after-hours web return, but the site would not recognize my phone number or email to log-on. Call customer service. They said that trailers cannot be returned via the after-hours web page (only trucks) and to just leave it. I did not feel comfortable with that, so I called customer service again, when I got home, to get documentation. Customer service #2 said that’s incorrect. I must return the trailer on-line and MUST BE PRESENT with the trailer when doing so. This required me to return to the U-Haul location (22 miles round trip) to attempt another after-hours return. Using my contract number, I was able to log-in, however the after-hour return web page could not locate my android cell phone, even though the location finder was on .... using a 2nd iphone, the web page would not allow me to take a picture. Called customer service again. They said to just take pictures and they would note my account. I’m halfway tech savvy. Need an alternative for people who are not or when there’s web page doesn't work as it should.... I understand it's Saturday night and the attendant wanted to leave. I would have given the location 4 stars if the attendant would have at least come to the door to answer any quick questions.

Very personable, friendly, helpful. Before retiring I was in business for many years. Good people can make up for many other shortcomings that may occur. These young people were great!

I moved across town and only put 10 miles on the truck. I was supposed to be charged $62, but I was charged $361 and then an additional 291 came out of my account and no one could tell me why. Luckily I took a picture of the gas gage and mileage before I took the truck because I was charged for taking the truck over 300 miles. I spent over 3 hours in total on the phone with multiple different people and it took a week to get the $650 dollars back in my account. I will never rent a U-Haul from this location again.

I wish I could recollect the customer service gentlemen's name - however I wanted to note that it was a very frustrating experience. I made an online reservation, visited the store to pick-up and noticed the advertisement for the $19.95 in-town travels. I asked if I could change as this was not offered over the application. So we attempted to cancel my reservation and start from scratch and that's when it all went south. In this process, though, the gentlemen that assisted was tremendous at his efforts and staying calm, respectful and understanding of my frustration as it was not his fault, but the system. I was there for over 50 minutes attempting to rent a U-Haul. Bottom line was that it was frustrating, but the representative made it feel less than. I visited on Sunday, April 7th at approximately 10:25AM if that helps narrow down the gentlemen as I want him to receive credit where due. Thank you.

I needed a dolly I paid for a dolly but the lady didn’t advise me that the truck I ordered didn’t have a ramp. If I need a dolly, I obviously can’t carry my items so I need a ramp. And she was not educated enough to tell me this then I was charged $40 for gas when it was halfway when I got it and the notch below half when I returned it. Horrible day

We were given no furniture pads, we went to pick up our pod and it wasn’t available for two days. They tried to say it was bc they didn’t have my credit card on file...which is impossible bc it’s not possible to reserve a ubox without giving one and the location that we picked up the ubox charged me multiple times (incorrectly). Also, if they didn’t see a card on file wouldn’t you think they’d make a phone call to ensure they didn’t lose $1100? The whole experience has been a complete disaster from renting pick ups to transport the ubox to picking it up. I will never use uhaul again.

I was given the wrong van or key or something -- my mileage wasn't the same as it was on the paperwork. I didn't notice until I arrived in North Canton, Ohio. And the driver's door didn't close properly. I had to slam the door very hard before I could put the truck into gear. Even so, it was an easy and pleasant experience.

First issue I had was that my assigned truck was given to an earlier customer. It took a while for the staff to determine how to give me the other person's assigned truck. It involved cancelling my reservation, the other party's reservation, then re-entering them as new reservations. So 2 holds on my card instead of 1. Plus no where to sit during this and I am disabled and can not stand but 2-3 minutes. Had to lean over the counter to avoid sitting on the floor. Second issue - truck transmission is about to go, steering is very loose. 2nd worse rental I've had in more than 15 rentals over the years. Note: the staff on duty when I arrived were not responsible for the truck mix up, so no fault on them, but prior shift.
