My experience was overall awful. I used a Uhaul pod to store furniture during a cross-country move. Uhaul repeatedly made mistakes and wasted my time. The original facility my pod was in closed and the pod was moved to a higher cost location farther away without telling me. When that happened my autobilling was turned off and the first I learned off all this was when I started receiving bills for late fees. It took over 6 calls and NINE hours on the phone to resolve this. Multiple reps had no clue what was going on and I only learned the pod had been moved when I drove to teh original facility and learned it had been closed. After that the pod was moved again multiple times, I had three people tell me it was "lost" and I was overbilled at least twice. I am still missing money that reps promised to refund me but I can't take more time off work to spend hours waiting on hold to speak with someone who will just say they can't help and need to transfer me. I will never use Uhaul again for anything. I already have and will continued to post negative reviews for all the facilities I interacted with. I will recommend to all my friends and family that they avoid Uhaul no matter what. I would have paid triple to make my move without all the hassle that Uhaul added on. You should be ashamed of how you treat your customers.hayley T.
I will never use UBox containers or recommend them. The boxes were kept in a massively dusty warehouse, where all of our items got dirty and where we had difficulty filling up the container as there were other containers and forklifts in the way. The â€œguaranteedâ€ shipping was a farce. They had a month to ship our container 2 hours awayâ€¦and yet it still came a day late, so we uselessly took time off work to unload a container that wasn't there. Instead, we spent the day trying to find out where our container was, as apparently these locations might as well be on different planets. You have been warned, stay clear.Beata R.

The van was dirty. I reported this before I took the van. When I returned the van and answered the questions about the van being dirty the self serve app tried to charge me for cleaning. The staff were helpful in correcting this.LISA M.

I booked a truck and a room. Got there and the room was available. If there was no space available at the time of reservation-fine. But I wasted a lot of time having to find another storage place because the location was full but having a conformation of a reservation for the room sent to my phone. Update the system and send customers timely notifications. You are in the convenience business. Having to switch gets and spend more time isn't convenient.CYRUSN J.

Its not the staffs fault that this location is super busy and only has one clerk and two yard people ! That only is the check out time extra long but try calling this place you will be on hold for at least 44mns! This is from past experience. Your booking system is not transparent enough. It was very difficult to establish a a simple list of which local locations had a trailer available. If you don't have it just say so. Your system seems to attempt to plays games with this information and extract a booking anyway. It becomes a waste of everyone's time and damages your brand. Remote return online very good.GLYNJ P.

I could not even complete my move because of the brakes and handling condition of the vehicle ,had to return the vehicle couple hours later instead of using it for the complete rental term . Was charged in full and was promised a call back from U-Haul,but to no avail. Poorly managed but the location was clean though.Money down the drain .These vehicles should be maintained and inspected by a the company name it's being advertised and not the location it's serving no one cares anymore just make a quick $$ . my experience with Uhaul was soo poor I am considering starting a competing company. I wanted to rent out of New Rochelle, they sent me to Bronx, then I tried to rent again out of New Rochelle and the night before they sent me to Yonkers. They then tried to charge me for being late (which I wasnt) and then for damage (that I didnt do). The only person who cared, who should be commended and was excellent at her job was Karina Diaz. At this time, I'm unsure if my goods arrived safely because they have not showed up at the destination yet, even though they were guaranteed to arrive two weeks ago. I reserved two containers and one was "lost" after I filled them and left them at the facility in MN. Once the box was found, it was shipped separately and I was charged an additional 1 152 $. I spent hours on the phone with customer reps trying to resolve the issue; most were unwilling to help and passed me on to someone else. Finally, when I was able to get a helpful rep, the issue was slowly resolved and a refund request of only 688 $was submitted. The point of reserving the containers was to eliminate the stress of driving all of my things from MN to CO. This experience ended up being very stressful and time consuming. I am extremely unhappy with this service and will not be using Uhaul again.Haley B.

The hours to access your unit are horrible. The price is to expensive. I found a cheaper location to store my things which also has pretty good security. Double the size of the unit for what I was paying here at uhaul for less money monthly. Employees disputes are poorly handled -primarily because management is either unavailable or completely disengaged regarding customer concerns. There is simply no incentive for the employees to perform basic tasks such as closing an account or printing a receipt. They don't care; care being the operative word. Karina Diaz was the absolute best! Had it not been for her things would have been disastrous! My only regret is that I was not aware that I could have been associated with her from the beginning of problems that could have been avoided, like my unit being damaged by water. Instead I depended on other workers that promised to attend to the problem and did not! She is a "Gem" though. This branch is better organized than the Homefield location. They put a little red sticker on my card that had my unit number. Nice touch. They look like they take covid seriously with barriers and the charge card units 6 feet away from the staff. I really liked the Yonkers location. At Homefield I've had to go to in 6x to fix my card. I hope the 7th time is a charm. Staff allowed a customer to stay in store without a mask yesterday. Horrible. Please get the Homefield location to take covid more seriously there is a rise coming. And help them with workflow regarding fixing swipe cards. A customer should not have to go back 6x to get the same issue fixed.
