JEAN V.Horrific I called today and left a message for a General Manager to contact me. The truck I rented is a death trap, with uncontrollable steering and absolutely no power! Imagine trying to move with a truck that won't get you up a hill. We stopped twice on the road. I prayed and cried the entire way, hoping I would get back home in one piece!

Stephanie S.Make sure that your rental is there when you have put in a reserve order 3 days prior to pick up,and that they call you back when it is available for pickup. Hand crank gear box on trailer falling apart for landing leg. Trailer was not available for pick up at agreed time. Employee wanted me to drive to new Rochelle to get the same trailer I had agreed and reserved for pick up at the sawmill center. Never called me back to say that the trailer I had reserved was back 6 hours later.

Mark N.Allow customers to be able to return the equipment to a U-Haul location near their destination to accommodate people's budgets. I was very upset at the fact that I had to come back to New York to return my equipment when there was a U-Haul location 5 minutes away from my new home. This really inconvenienced me and made me go over my budget. The rep who handled me at the register was great but not being able to accommodate me and have to come back to New York was extremely inconsiderate and made my move even more hectic than it already was.

WILFREDO G.I didn't even have to go inside. An employee was outside, he pointed out where to park, he unhooked the trailer and we were in our way in less the five minutes. This is my second time at this location and both times the experience has been extremely easy.

If I say I'm going to use for 17 hours approximately, why you like company make something for me like customer get extra charge because you created document or contract for exactly 17 hours, if I return later than 17 hours I'm getting extra charge. You represent the company why no letting me know that you put exactly 17 hours. I never said straight 17 hours, is different may be 17 hours less or more but I'm doing claim in to my bank account for the extra charge I received

Double the size of the unit for what I was paying here at uhaul for less money monthly. I also paid the rent for my unit here and moved out the following day, I feel like I should be refunded.

There is simply no incentive for the employees to perform basic tasks such as closing an account or printing a receipt. They don't care; care being the operative word. I would never use Uhaul again or recommend someone else.

My only regret is that I was not aware that I could have been associated with her from the beginning of problems that could have been avoided, like my unit being damaged by water. Instead I depended on other workers that promised to attend to the problem and did not! She is a "Gem" though. Would not recommend anyone I know unless they had direct access to her.

They look like they take covid seriously with barriers and the charge card units 6 feet away from the staff. I really liked the Yonkers location. At Homefield I've had to go to in 6x to fix my card. I hope the 7th time is a charm. Staff allowed a customer to stay in store without a mask yesterday. Horrible. Please get the Homefield location to take covid more seriously there is a rise coming. And help them with workflow regarding fixing swipe cards. A customer should not have to go back 6x to get the same issue fixed. The Yonkers location has their act together.

Could do a better job with extermination- vermin and insects. After emptying my unit, I found mouse droppings in boxes. The elevator was broken for several days which was a huge inconvenience and no compensation was offered. I had to walk up the stairs with furniture. I would not recommend this facility. The rates increase consistently every year and you're at their mercy.

Its hard to get staff on the phone and if you do get them on the phone, its because they are calling you because you're late on a payment. They'll keep calling back to back till you pick up when they want their money. I've been a customer for years and several times they've done repairs or upgrades and had debris from the ceiling fall all into my unit. I paid my unit late once and they left their lock on my unit for 3 weeks. They charge a "maintenance fee" for cleaning the storage facility but some how debris always made its way in my unit. Especially when they installed the new air units on my floor. This is also not a 24hr access storage facility.
