The cargo van had garbage from the last renter. In addition, the right side mirror did not stay secure. It dropped down where you saw the road. I drove approx. 30 miles and the tire inflation icon came on. Soon the message said to get it serviced. I stopped twice to check the tires and called which took me, 5 people. The last person I spoke to was roadside recovery who gave me a UHaul vendor to go to. The next morning I went and the man told me they could not do an assessment there. I was sent to a tire store.

Not sure I would recommend. I thought I would be driving about 100 miles, but I only drove less than 50. Andrij McConneli said if it was less than 100 the bill would be adjusted to reflect the lesser mileage. When I got there he said he could email me the receipt after he checked it in. I got the receipt, but no adjustment was reflected. Very disappointing!!!!!

Everyone at Canwood was fantastic. My problem is with the Moorpark satellite location, which is only a mile from my home, to move my Mom from Wood Ranch to my house. I reserved a 20 foot moving truck a week prior and was told I could pick up the truck at 3:30 Friday afternoon. I told them I needed the truck for 24 hours. After several calls on Friday afternoon to tell me that my truck would not be available, I was told that I could pick up the truck in Moorpark at 4:30 pm. When I arrived the manager said that the truck needed to be returned over night as someone had rented it for 8:00 a.m. the next day. When I told him that my reservation was for 24 hours, he told me that would not be possible because the rental for Saturday morning was for him and he would not honor my reservation (which he confirmed was taken by his grandson, who made the mistake of entering my return time as 3:30 am, rather than pm - Saturday). He was adamant that he would not give up the reservation as their location had been sold and they needed to move Saturday, not caring that our move was scheduled and had to happen as well. He found a replacement truck at the Canwood location in Agoura Hills, which I accepted. I told him I would need to be compensated for the additional mileage and gas caused by his selfishness and his grandson's ineptitude. He made a call and told me that he confirmed with Canwood that my rental would be $29.95, rather than $39.95 and the mileage would be .89 / mile. I told him that would not compensate me for the difference in mileage and gas, let alone the inconvenience of having to drive an additional 18 miles each way (1 live 1 mile from the Moorpark location). When I arrived to pick up the truck in Agoura, Travis as fantastic, but he said there were no notes in the record to confirm my discounted rates. He kindly made a note on my paperwork and told me to discuss with the manager when I returned the truck. When I returned the truck, I was treated very well by a young lady whose name I do not recall. But, she did say that the manager had just left for dinner and she would have to discuss with him when he returned. She said she would have him call me so I knew what was going to be charged to my card. I have not received an invoice or receipt to know what I was charged and the manager never called to update me. I would like to know what I was charged and that I will have an opportunity to discuss the charges with someone at Uhaul who has the authority to adjust if needed. My experience with Uhaul was terrible with Moorpark...mostly great with Agoura, but an inconvenience to an already very busy weekend overall. Our original reservation was with the Westlake uhaul. I asked if we could pick up uhaul night before and they weren’t sure. Then the Agoura office called and had a trailer available. The misinformation came when we wanted to rent the hitch, Westlake said we could rent it, when my husband got to Agoura, they made him buy it.

It was highly inconvenient that we had to drive here to get the only 20 foot truck in the entire area. It's Southern California, not the North Pole. I shouldn't have to drive 45 minutes to pick up the size truck I need (or pay more for a larger truck nearer to me). Perhaps pay someone minimum wage to drive these trucks to locations that are out of the sizes people rent? Also. your computer system is really a problem and slows everything down to about the speed of molasses in January. The reps there handled it well enough, but if I'd been in a hurry to move along this would have been a very bad experience. Due to the reps helpfulness we won't abandon UHaul as an option for our next move, but if we have to trek to get the size truck we need or if the system is that slow again we just might.

These guys are awesome. Moves are always stressful and I can say the least stressful part of my move was dealing with Andre, the manager to organize a multi day move with 3 different trucks. They helped save me money and get the appropriate trucks for each part of the job. Daniel, the assistant manager was also really helpful upon my switching vehicles and at return. All employees were pleasant and helpful at every stage of the process. Ben was really polite who took my return and checked miles/ vehicle. Overall great experience!

I dropped of on a Sunday morning about 10:30. There was a long line to get help a the front desk. Only 1 person behind the counter and one other out in the yard. I stood in line about 15 min with it not moving. The person behind the front desk did however go outside to help somebody and on the way in disconnected me and told me I could go. He was doing the best he could but needed help. Just need more help so people don't have to wait so long.

I was baited and switched. Amazing! I questioned the bill when I checked out and the employee told me that it was just an amount for approval not the actual rental. I rented the trailer over the phone with the 800 number. I wanted the 4x8 trailer and they were out so they rented the 5x8 for the same rate. Little did I know that the store changed my rate to the 5x8, added insurance and lied to me about the pre-approval amount. It’s not a large difference in amount but it’s the principal of the matter. This simply is a bait and switch. I will call to question and contest this devious practice.

I picked up the trailer at 9:00am on Saturday and returned it right at about 9:00am on Sunday( I think it was 9:20am or so but a 24 hour period) and I was charged for 2 days. This location was awful. There was only 1 guy working the counter with a line of people. Another girl came to help and assisted us. The entire process to get our truck and on our way it took about an hour and a half. I rented a truck, car transport, & dolly. There was an issue with my truck and they had to swap it out. In the process of swapping out the forgot something important. They forgot my furniture dolly. We had already late to move as we had limited time and paid someone to help us for a limited time. We now had to move without the dolly since I was told I needed to go back and pick up or the my could credit me the $12 for the dolly. This was not good enough since now I was behind on my move and help. I will never trust U-haul with my moving needs & will go with Penske or enterprise next time. Btw the girl with nose piercing was the only helpful person at the store.

At the Agoura Hills location both of the U-haul representatives that we worked with at this location were friendly and personable. The manager worked with me for the truck rental and he was awesome. He explained everything in detail. William was also very helpful the next day with our car trailer. When we went to pickup the truck, it was blocked in by another truck. Had to wait 1.5 hrs for store manager to arrive. He never apologized or anything. Was very unprofessional. He approached us by saying what’s up guys. Told him about the truck he said “oh cool” wow very unsatisfactory. Then when we began our move we realized the truck didn’t have any of the equipment we ordered inside no dolly or anything. This made the move very difficult. When returning the truck they only gave us money off for no equipment. I feel since we returned the truck several hours early, and since we had to hire another person to help with the move since there was no dolly not to mention how long we had to wait for the store manager we should’ve been refunded our money. I will be writing a google and yelp review plus telling social media in our area to stay away from Agoura Hills Uhaul as I understand stuff happens but their customer service is HORRIBLE!!!

The staff was amazing and did the best they could being undermanned for the amount of customers. The truck was clean, but the air conditioning was not working and the alignment was very off causing the truck to shimmer and not hold course easily. It would be great if UHaul would make sure that its employees get the proper help to satisfy the customers.

The images never loaded in spite of several attempts. I much prefer viewing the truck alongside an employee the way I've done previously.

I lived in Ventura, had to pick up all my rentals in different areas. Very inconvenient, 3 rentals at 3 different locations. All a distance from my home. The only decent service I had was at the drop off in Longview. Definitely for the price I paid will find a different company. Tow trailer had a broken spring on ramp. Very dangerous I would think.

The right low-beam headlight was burned out creating difficulties driving in the rain in the evening. There was a significant amount of dirt in the rear compartment and it was obvious that the truck had not been cleaned and it caused issues with furniture was were moving. I was charged $25 for a cleaning fee that was unjustified and I need confirmation that charge will be reversed.

I was given a quote of around $80 when I made a reservation and was shocked when I was told at the location how much my bill was. I was told the phone agent who made reservation quoated me for one way. I specified round trip and 8 hours and milage. When I questioned bill, I was told supercisor would call me for credit. They never called. I called, left message and they never called me back. If I was quoated the amount I was charged, I would have hired movers. How you could improve your service? Firstly, make sure reservation agent quotes real price. Secondly, have someone outside bring customer truck outside, so the same person doesn't have to leave their desk and do it. The wait time at check in was extremely frustrating.
