The rental is for a 24 hour period, right? For some reason I had to phone in to get approval to extend my rental to an 8am-8am rental. I called twice before the store location closed to extend the reservation. Both calls were forwarded to the call center who said the store was too busy, so they sent a message to the store to extend my reservation. Regardless of the calls, I was still charged for 2 days even though I returned the truck within 24 hours. I spent about :45 minutes on the phone with the call center and customer service to refund a portion of the second day charge. Frankly, it felt like an intentional attempt to extract another day of rental from me because it was such a hassle to get it refunded. I will look at other rental companies after this experience.

The truck had inadequate tires on it and should not be on the road. . It got stuck 3 times and I spent over 2 hours getting it unstuck and was very close to calling a tow but 3 of his persisent and eventually got it unstuck. This was light snow in driveways that any car could get up and down. I missed the time slot to drop things off at the municipal dump and it closed.causing me to figure out another solution and drive much further out of my way. They also charged me $8 for gas when I filled it up to exact spot it was filled to begin with - I have pictures of both before and after. Overall - the issue with the tires caused me quite a bit more in cost and time and stress for my day. I am lucky I didn't get into an accident with this truck because of the light snowfall and unsafe tires. The rest of the service and attendants were good during pick-up and drop-off but because of the maintenance issue I wouldn't use them again.

$19.95 for the rental. Then $20 for a convenience fee because I dropped it after hours (before my rental period was over), and then a $25 cleaning fee? For what? I understand you need to charge for these things. But advertising the rental rate then sneaking in more than 2x in additional charges just feels dirty. I prefer doing business with companies that are up front with costs.

There was not a truck available to our move FROM location ( Longmont), so we had to drive 30 minutes to Boulder to get one The truck I we rented was a 26 foot truck, the fuel tank was almost empty. We had to put gas in it just to get it back to our house to start loading it. ALSO ... We reserved an appliance dolly, for our larger appliances. But this location FORGOT to put one in the truck. We tried to call them and were NEVER contacted to make it right. We had to rent ANOTHER appliance dolly from a different rental company. Have not recieved a refund for NOT getting the dolly we paid for. Horrible first day

Rental process in the am was slow. Had too correct the insurance which the gentlemen didnt even know the cost until I told him . Returning truck, 1 truck in line, as I waited too check out the other gentlemen told me they were backed up. J just wanted the charges and truck checked. Just overall poor customer interaction.

Check minute details of the vehicles before leasing out. This 25' box truck we hired had a loose left rear view mirror. And $25 to sweep and mop out a box truck? Nope. Did it myself in 3 mins. Apart from that, pretty straightforward. Thank you.

Always a bit slow to get checked out, but the guys are friendly and the do a good job. I want to point some of the slowness to the corporate IT system... while it's good, it's efficiency could be better. One big complaint about the system is it needs to stop trying 5 times to sell me insurance, once I say 'no' I mean 'no'. Also, in the past there was a way for me to put in pictures of my license etc... it didn't offer me that this time.

No problems with North Boulder Uhaul which is authorized dealer. Great location. Very helpful and nice person checked me in at North Boulder. On the other hand nothing good to report about Dillon Road Storage LLC. I received harassing phone calls and voice messages from some woman at Dillon Storage LLC in Louisville Colorado demanding that I return the trailer to their location. She called me after hours the night before and then the next morning telling me I had "3 minutes" to get there before they opened at 9 a.m. ---or else. Also she left me suspicious message telling me different address to return to because "people cannot find their location using posted address". Been renting from U-Haul for a long time and never encountered similar phones calls prior to a return. Also Dillon Road Storage LLC, Louisville, Colorado is not even an authorized dealer just "neighborhood dealer". Very strange. Would not recommend Dillon Road Storage LLC in Louisville Colorado to anyone.

More instructions about what self pickup online will entail would be helpful. I did not realize the photos, etc I should have taken beforehand to speed up the process.

There are always some issues, while minor, they waste your time to resolve and it just seems like the attention to detail is simply not there. I've had errors with my reservation, long waits to get paperwork done, asked the same information repeatedly. Uhaul is often my best option, but that's mostly because there isn't any competition close by, not because the service is good.

The truck was clean and in good mechanical shape..... but the interior of the hauling space reeked of Pot. I let the man at check in know, he apologized and cut me a break on not putting gas in the truck.

The gas gauge was about 1/8 lower than what was recorded on my contract but I returned it with a little more fuel than when I received it. I think it would just be best to rent trucks with the gas completely full and then this situation is avoided.

Estimate was roughly $50 but now that I checked out, it is $300! Wtf is right? The guy told me that I could drop off the truck at any uhaul location, as long as I called the customer service number. I did exactly that and he is now saying that he never said that! He smelled like weed and alcohol so I’m sure he wasn’t sober. I will contact my card company and say that this is fraud because I never authorized this amount!

I'm not keen on employees using their iphones to enter in my personal info. it was noted that it was for the app and taking a photo of my license, but I'm not comfortable with that. It's not necessary and it can be typed in. No need for my photo, now old address, and back of my license to be documented.

First of all, the crew didn't put pads and dolly and i have to another trip to get the dolly and pads. I wasted my important packing time just driving to get truck and then dolly and pads. While returning the truck, the staff said, leave the truck and they will take care of it. They didn't ask me to wait so that they can perform inspection in front of me. Later on I was charged $25 dollars cleaning fee whereas the truck was clean.

All of the employees at U-Haul of Boulder were friendly and went out of their way to help me. I saw that same pattern of behavior repeated with at least three other customers. The challenge was the lack of coordination and communication — left hand/right hand kinds of problems: 1. The key to the 10-foot truck I rented had to be jiggled in the ignition for several seconds before the key opened the ignition, so I could start the truck. I had to ask about how to start the truck; instead of someone telling me that the ignition on this truck is a little tricky. 2. I rented a furniture dolly, but one was not provided for me. When I asked about it, everyone looked around and said, "Ah, I don't think we have one of those to rent you." So I purchased one from U-Haul of Boulder, which I ended up bringing back to the store for a refund because I never use it. Everyone at the store was ready and willing to help, and everyone was very nice, everyone just seemed kind of "out of it" in the morning when I arrived to pick up the truck. In the afternoon, everything was straightforward, even the refund on the furniture dolly.
