Walk in service. I was required be photographed even after i showed two picture id's. I was feeling harassed / profiled. I also had to provide two phone numbers. That was the verbal command of the representative. It's our policy in order to rent vehicles.

The drop off experience was unacceptable, we were told a location to drop off and we showed up and it was closed. This seems like a pretty basic issue that could have been avoided and caused a major inconvenience in our day. When we called for assistance for a new drop off location the woman on the line was unhelpful and only extended the inconvenient timeline. She told us that we needed to speak with the drop off location to discuss any additional issues we had. We had to drive to an even farther location, further spending more money on gas. When dropping off the truck the front desk attendant let us know she couldn’t help us with any other issues and we needed to call in for her manager on Monday. Overall this was an awful experience and makes me think twice before using Uhaul again which is upsetting because it’s always been a smooth process previously.

This location is full of crooks I moved something couple of blocks they told me I went 30 miles I looked it up it said 3 miles but I wasnt gone Argue. I just wont patronize this location no more

I believe this was the first time I did self-check in at this location. I have done self-check in at other locations in the past and have had no problems. At this location 1) the truck I was to rent was blocked by another truck, 2) the keys were not in the specified box, 3) there was an appliance dolly and several leftover personal items from the previous customer left in the back of the truck.

U-Haul left me with no truck or can on my one and only moving day. There were 25 people in line in front of me and ever other one had no vehicle. Not sure how you get away with this . Your company sucks....

There was a crowd sunday morn., Thought it would take hours. But the girl did double-time at the desk, a computer in each hand... And the yard man (subbing on a morning shift) did triple-time outside, a truck in each hand, running... And they both were cool, friendly, didn’t panic... working alone. I didn’t plan to use the crenshaw location, but they were so good !I I believe these two will do well at any job in their life.

The gas indicator was not working so great, and i over filled the gast tank more than what i received it with which basically i returned it full and all i was told was sorry we dont give refunds on that or credit back. That was very disappointing, specially when that wasn't explained when i picked up the truck.

I am not concerned about any other past present or future customer of yours. I deposited $75,(taken from a debit card). I paid in full with a credit card. My $75, has not been returned to the Debit card. If I keep your equipment late I get charged.....! Why has my money not been returned? This is not the first time I have to spend time and effort to get my account straightened out due to whatever YOUR problem is. I want my money NOW. Get more people to work the counter. One person hopping between 3 registers is ridiculous. This contributed to stressful working conditions, which affected the way employees interacted with customers. Very bad experience. Make sure employees actually know to, and how to, honor the "100% BuyBack Guarantee" on leftover, unused boxes.

What an absolute ripoff, I paid $36 additionally for every mile I drove even though I only drove the car for five hours. I should've gone to enterprise, they quoted me $38 for a truck and it would've been probably $10 for gas, but they don't charge for miles driven. I've never felt so ripped off, I'm never going back to U-Haul again. What a sneaky thing to do to hide additional costs and prices. I know they can easily blame this on the customer, And I should've done my research to better calculate this. Once I realized how much she was going to be as I was about to sign to rent a car I am mediately regretted not going to enterprise. But I don't have a choice I was on time limit and I had to get this equipment today and within a certain period of time. Don't waste your money, U-Haul will slap you with every little fees they can. Like buying movie or concert tickets, they charge you for convenience but instead it's miles it shouldn't matter how many miles I drive the car I'm paying to rent it for the day and that's up to my discretion. And on top of that I had to pay to refill the gas. You know how much enterprise charges per mile to drive up their rentals? Nothing. They advertise 19.95 but it skyrockets from there. I feel like an idiot. I could have saved 30 bucks and not felt sick looking at a bill.

The level of service from start to finish was unbelievable amazing, i drove in upset that my drop off location was moved without any proper details, and Darell came, greeted me and was exceptional polite and apologetic for the headaches I endured, he reassured me any overages would be taken care of which is what the person who called me earlier had said but not denoted on the reservation. If it was not for Darell’s exceptional customer service and helpfulness, I would have never gone with uhaul again. He deserves all the credit with turning my nightmare experience into an okay one.

The self-pickup app has a lot of problems. I have used it at least 10 times over the last several years and sometimes it is a complete fail and I have to go inside anyway. And when it does work, usually takes as long or longer than if I just went in to the desk. At least twice the app would not let me pick up the reservation at all from the app even though I reserved it for a pick up that way and I had to go inside. This last pickup I would not have been able to get my vehicle without a customer service person because it was blocked in by other vehicles they had to move for me. That would have been a serious problem if it had been an after hours pickup.

I reserved the truck online. I tried to change the time online but the website was once again not correctly updating. It says on the website that the location will call to confirm the time. Therefore, I figured I would talk to them during confirmation to discuss alternate time. They never called. I got there at a later time and they had cancelled the truck and then told me I had to rush and bring truck back due to another reservation. The website is absolutely horrible. I have now had three different problems in reserving due to website. I am going to look into alternative companies.

I received a call ONE hour after having left the Uhaul location. They wanted to make sure I was going to return the van by time I promised; because they had promised it to someone else based on that. First, I paid a full day rate. If I said I would return it sooner, that's my call. Second, I'm very busy one hour after having picked up the vehicle. Third, it's not my problem if you've promised the vehicle to someone else because I said I would probably return it earlier.

NOTE: (This is not a complaint) Even if you don't wash cargo vans daily, most important make sure the window's are wiped down clean enough to be able to see out of. Otherwise management doing an excellent job maintaining location! Sincerely..

Picking up at 6pm friday from adams Crenshaw location Cargo van l reserved had an empty gas tank! Your customer service rep suggested that l take another cargo van. I noticed that the second cargo van the paperwork had read 1/4 tank of gas, but l observed that it had 1/8 of a tank. Upon returning the cvan l replaced gas at what was suggested 1/4 tank because l didn't want any hassles. Noticed lately (gas tank) doesn't reflect paperwork...l would very much like a credit if at all possible... Sincerely, Loyal customer D. Austin

I did not choose this location and was the victim of U-Haul's Bait and Switch location SCAM. They tell you they have the equipment you want near you, then later shift you to the remote location of the company's choice. This added more than an hour's time to my trip! DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE LOCATION BAIT & SWITCH SCAM.

the truck smells like weed which I am allergic to, it was very dirty I had to put sheets on the ground to not mess my furniture up. this location is not the one I requested, it was 7 mile away from my home while I only needed it to transport my furniture 1 mile down the street. U Haul provide no options but this location,

They promised me 30 days free storage but when i got to casper wyoming there was no storage to be had. I counted on the storage or i would have never rented the uhaul in the first place. I thought id have 30 days to take care of the contents. The reason i even rented it was because my brother passed away and i had to go take care of his belongings but i only brought them back because i thought i had 30 days to go through and distribute the contents. By not having the storage i was promised when i got here caused me a hell of a lot of distress and headache. Ill never use uhaul again. It was the worst experience ever. And they claim its 30 day free storage but for nearly $2,700.00 one way im thinking it sure wasnt free im sure in $2,700.00 i paid for the 30 days storage which i was never given. Plus it was so low on transmission fluid i had to buy that too. So as far as im concerned your 30 day free storage is false advertisement and for an outrageous price. And you can bet i will tell everyone i know what a terrible experience it was and to look somewhere else if they want a fair deal.
