My local Uhau does not answr their phone. The central reservation system - sent me "the estimate" 2 times - I checked my spam folder 2 times and never recived the estiamtes. So I had to go to my local Uhaul dealer in person to receive an estimate. The Centeral Order system put in the incorrect information for the estimate and the local Uhaul had to straightne out the paperwork. I called the Central Reservation system to make 2 dates to have hitches put onto 2 different cars. I was given two dates date in their computer and no one sent me a confirmation. Then when , July 5th arrived, I was running late.I called Uhaul - reached the Centralized CS and was told that I did not have an appointment for today; in their computer I had an appointment for June 28th. We reschuduled and I was sent a notiice for the appointment for the Honda, but not for the second appointment for the Dodge.. AND I also was sent a notice about ordering parts or receiving a notification about parts received. I ignored it, since it is not my responsibllity to order parts and I never received any notices about parts. In order to check the date for the Dodge, I would have to call the Centralized CS ****again**** . I decided not to attempt this, since they do not communicate clearly - so what is the point of calling??? We will see what happens when Thursday roles around. I may be writing more at that time. Even though the Centalized Customer Service had no record of my appointment, when I talked with them eariler today, I received this request for review from Uhaul's computer. Go figure !!!!! it is a wonder - with this kind of service that Uhaul stays in business !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Louise H.

After the first location called to say we don't have a vehicle for you. I was angry that I had to drive 9 additional miles each way to pick up the new truck. The time in traffic cost me over an hour and thirty minutes because of this new location. Other than having to use the truck late into the evening because of this inconvenience. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I have two complaints. 1. The representative assisting me was texting while assisting me as well as laying (arms and head) on the desk while checking me out. 2. She used her personal cell phone to upload a picture of my license. I could see that she was on the UHAUL website but this made me VERY uncomfortable knowing that her personal device was the one taking a photo of my license. Employees should be using secure business hardware/software to conduct business for its customers OR advise customers to go to the website and upload images themselves.Julie B.

I had to call several different times to get this reservation correct and when I arrived to pick it up, it was the wrong size truck. I spoke with someone the day before and confirmed the size I needed and when I arrived, the person said she had to wait for a manager or someone to call her back. I don't think it's right that I reserved one thing and the wrong reservation was canceled. This was a bad experience.Lawanda R.
Upon trying to return the trailer I rented at 7:15 am the â€œlaneâ€ for returning vehicles was jam packed! Two more showed up and actually blocked me in with my personal vehicle. The return lane path needs to be improved! Other than that service was good, as a side note please stop shoving the added insurance down your customer's throats.Richard R.

I reserved a 26 foot truck 5 days before I needed it. I arrive at the location at my scheduled time of 730AM to find that the truck was never delivered there and I had to spend the next two hours searching local Uhaul stores and begging for a truck. Mind you, I was paying movers during this time. When I do finally get the truck, the inside is covered in random places with black tar, which I didn't find out until after my furniture had been inside. Then although I was given a $50 credit for the earlier inconvenience, it never got put towards my total which DOUBLED. Total shit show and I will never, and I mean NEVER use Uhaul again. You are not guaranteed a truck on the day you need it, and you can never get a hold of anyone. Absolutely worst experience of my life. Ruined my whole move.Alaina D.

I don't recall the drop off procedure as just leaving the key in the truck and leaving. I stood around for awhile before asking an employee if he could help me and he said just leave the key in the truck. I returned the truck cleaner than when I received it from someone who hauled yard debris in it. I swept it out twice and didn't see any $25 courtesy per the sign in the truck. I returned it with an 1/8th more fuel than when I received it and you dinged me for 7 miles over your estimate. That's lame. Overall a very good experience but it's the little things that ruin the total experience and Uhaul's reputation.Joshua S.

My tow dolly was not present at the original location. I had to go to a different location then to pick it up. The first place called ahead to make sure they stayed open for me. I arrived at 7 pm inside the store and they told me they were closed and would not help me. I came back the next day and the staff were not helpful. They mostly played on their phones and avoided eye contact but I was able to pick up the tow dolly.Brian A.
Staff demanded an emergency contact regarding a trailer rental. When I declined, staff insisted and went on to interrogate me: Parents number? Girlfriend? For the record, my parents are dead and it's not something I want to talk to your staff about, and my sex life is not really your business. Staff then told me that an emergency contact is a Homeland Security requirement. I have rented lots of trailers and have never had this kind of interrogation. I can buy an AR-15 without listing an emergency contact. Meanwhile, extensive internet searches reveal no such law. So, lying, prying, and all with an attitude. There are other rental options and I will probably have to look into them.Aaron M.

Truck was clean but this was the 2nd U-Haul I rented that the steering was awful didn't really feel safe driving either truck but had no choice both times due to having to move my house hold items in my opinion I think the trucks should be driven to make sure the steering is fine before they are rented out to customers due to the safety of the renter of the truck for the money customer's pay to rent the trucks they should be better then what they arerebbecca W.

I think you should offer a different rate for people who are not going to have a truck for more than 2 days like I needed it for 32 hours but had to pay a two-day rental once I found that out I went ahead and extended my return time so I didn't have to rush to get it back on time I just think it would benefit your customers if you had like a half day rate. Also when I return the vehicle I talked to the people with the return area that the truck leaked so I had to spend 3 hours of my time taking stuff out of boxes that got wet because it rained reboxing it I went inside to speak to someone they were at lunch and I didn't have time to wait around I have rented trucks numerous times and this is the first issue I've really ever had but I don't like the fact that I had to go track down boxes and spend extra time reboxing stuff because the truck leaked when it rained.Laurence T.
It would have been helpful to know more about what to expect when picking up (taking pictures needing your passport and references) the truck after hours and that your pickup time has an expiration to it (we were a few hours late due to plane delay and the session expired without warning or explanation). The app also seemed to work differently on different phones which was frustrating. We are grateful to have eventually been able to pick it up, but pick up was difficult and when we spoke to people on the phone before hand they did not at l tell us what to expect.Michael S.

Being elderly I am not to computer savvy. I would suggest that the person get the truck and bring it to the front. I had difficulty walking all through the lot to find the truck. Upon getting in the truck I realized that I had to do some online set up before I could drive off the lot. I did not realize that I was given papers certain things were highlighted on the paper. I ended up figuring out eventually but it would be nice if you had the people renting to me explain get in the truck and show that the paper and the mileage match . By the time I got in the truck and was on my way it had taken over an hour. I noticed another employee did go out in the yard to me and explain to the client everything they needed to know. I hope that next time I could get someone more concerned about the elderly. I parked in the handicap areas so I would like them to learn to pay attention to that. Some people have COPD and heart conditions I cannot walk too far.linda A.

I had reserved a trailer with a ramp and the trailer with the ramp was sent off on 5/1 with another customer...how can you reserve equipment and then there it is not there?
