poor accounting of the mileage on the truck, I was charged for mileage I did not drive. Experiencing the poor behavior of these employees on pass rentals at this location, I'm sure it was miss mismanage on their part. I drove 12 miles and I was charged 42 miles. I will never rent from this location or U-haul ever aging. It's u-haul responsibility not the customer to make sure the mileage is correct not the customer. I'm wondering if this a pattern of this fraudulent behavior at this location?. Also the truck had a warning light check tire pressure flashing.MICHAEL W.

Not a review of this location, but Uhaul's service. We selected 24/7 pickup and had a checkin near closing time for our original location. We arrived an hour late, after the location closed and the reservation was canceled with no notification. At no point was I informed the reservation would be canceled for a late-show, because this is not the case with rental car services. Likewise, I selected 24/7 pickup, but apparently this requires the location to basically put the keys out, defeating the purpose of the late pickup. I had to drive 2 hours out of my way for a truck and burn another tank of gas. Overall, I will do everything in my power to avoid using a Uhaul again until communication is improved prior to pickup. Extremely poor customer service and very rude. Ive never had an issue renting from uhaul until I moved here. The girl was on her phone the entire time and didn't explain any type of details unless until it came time to triple charge me. The next day my coworker went in to rent a trailer and he messaged me saying he over heard a guy return trailer late and his card declined, they offered my name to him. When the vehicle was inspected and the online review completed, part of the vehicle was in the shade and therefore unable to be truly confirmed and "OK". Most of the pictures were disputed, there was mud on the cab of the truck and upon opening the back door an oily substance of some kind was left on the floor that could have ultimately caused a slip fall or ruined the items being moved. We had to clean the floor before packing the truck.Shannon S.

I made arrangements almost 2 months early to make sure we had a truck to pick up in Stockton CA. The day prior I got a call the we had to drive to Merced (80 miles) to get the truck. This was after an 8 hour trip from Oregon! Not cool.Lucas C.

Give the customer that has any equiptment rented in their possession first right to extend their rental, in effort to finish their projects, before the equiptment is reserved and promised to another custome. Never threaten to report equiptment stolen after you charged the customer for an additional day.ELOYD J.

I requested to get truck an hour before store opened. However i had to wait an hour because the manager told me they do not allow trucks to be rented out outside of store hours. The system let me reserve my truck before hand. That issue needs to be fixed immediately.STEVEN G.

I feel like I got scammed on the gas. Originally rented it right below 1/2 tank. I fueled it back to that amount and was told it needed to be a 3/4 of a tank. So I left to put more gas, but I feel like I really shouldn't have had to pay an extra 90 dollars in gas. Just left a bad taste in my mouth. Although the employees were very polite and helpful. I think most of the problem falls on the mobile check in and rental.Gary G.

Everything was good except I was told that U-Haul rents Hellcats. I was very upset when I found out that they didn't. Your employee Alexander Reed was very disrespectful and rude. Fix your app!! Everytime I log in to extend my rental the link does nothing. I then have to call and wait on hold for sometimes up to 15 min. for a person to add a day to my rental. All the time I am on hold, the recorded message says " You can go online and extend your rental anytime..............What gives? can you fix it?David B.

U-haul employee had me return the trailer where I picked it up at. Once I exited the truck I looked down and there were several old, rusty nails and screws on the ground. My tires on the drivers side of my truck was surrounded by about 30-40 nails. The employee had me back through the nails to which I found out on the way back to Chowchilla (20 miles) one has pierced my left rear tire causing me a flat tire. I was able to change my flat tire and have it repaired for an added expense of 30 $out of my pocket. Overall condition of parking lot at Merced U-haul was despicable. No house keeping or cleanup has been done to that lot recently. Very disappointed.EDDIE B.

Gas was in empty upon pickup, notified employee he said take a picture. Rented for 24hrs. Told them maybe by end of day, was going to be charged late fees, ee made it out to be returned that day at 7pm... tried to return via online procedures but couldn't, was going to get charged for full tank. I returned it empty according to ee. Had to come back when they opened at 9am that Sunday. Waited in line for an hour just to return keys. Glad I didn't do it online. Feels like this place would rip me off if I wasn't there physically to dispute them. 1 hour wait was ridiculous. Things can be ran better here. Management is trash.LEE C.

Have more employment sure. Service was extremely slow at both pick up and drop off locations. I also made my reservation online, but once in store had to go through whole process again. I should have only had to pay and pick up keys. No they went over the whole contract again. Also should have the ability to pay online as well. I will not be recommending to anybody. And your thinking why? Well I'll tell you, the damn uhaul that you ppl gave me had freakin god damn roaches!! And your worker that checked in my rental was acting like it was no big deal. Well I don't live with roaches and I'm not gonna start now!! Yes roaches!! So now my visit was not pleasant at all!!!! I had a terrible experience. After calling 30 minutes before arriving to make a reservation and being told the truck i needed was available, I arrived and was told by a very rude male employee who looked like he was straight out of duck dynasty that there was no such truck available. He was not apologetic and didn't offer me any other options until I asked him. Then I was charged 50 bucks without being told what those costs were for (miles driven, base cost, etc) and didn't receive the contract nor the receipt to my email because the duck dynasty guy typed my email in wrong and didn't double check with me to confirm. That specific employee is absolutely terrible and you need to fire him or at least work on his customer relations. I did notice that Tyler who works there is really good at her job. Give Tyler a raise and fire duck dynasty guy. Also have your employees check if something is available before letting customers reserve it.ELSPETH B.

I would rent this trailer again in a few days . It would be great if you can fix the front right tyre . It's smaller than the back one and it's got a lot of ware on it because it's not making contact on the road like the back one and therefore taking vast amounts of thread of the tyre making it risky for useCOERT J.
Rented a truck 2 days in a row, went the same distance (12 miles) both days. The fuel gauge didn't move at all. Charged a fuel surcharge for one day and not the other??? Is this basically a subjective judgment call by the 20-year-old employees? Also, drove away and got to my location only to be informed my dolly and pads were still sitting in front of the building. You would think with a reservation, they would've loaded the truck with the items you'd reserved. I'll rent from another location next time.THERESA N.
