Made a reservation in advance using Uhaul customer service.. vehicle was not available when I arrived and was told " I got nothing for you". After pleading that i would only be a few hours I took a different vehicle that was too small for my move.ARTHUR K.

Booked my reservation to the wrong location, changed it online several days before my scheduled date,, and received a confirmation email that it was changed. However, when I arrived to pick up my rental, the reservation could not be found in the computer. Thankfully, there was a 9' cargo van available or I might have been out of luck. The clerk did the best he could and was friendly, despite it being very busy at the time.MATTHEW V.

I rented a Cargo Van this morning at 9:00. Jaime was the only one working and it started to get busy quickly! He handled everything smoothly and addressed his customers when they came in. The rep was very efficient. Explained everything very well, and when there qas a small discrepancy with amount of fuel in the truck compared to what the system said, he excused himself from another customer and came right out to check it and made an adjustment.PETER A.

Verify that additional equipment that gets reserved by a customer, is available and ready to go before allowing the customer to come pick it up. I added a furniture dolly to my van reservation, only to find out that the store had no furniture dollies. The representative working there mentioned that the charge would be taken off of my contract, but wasn't. There seems to be a giant gap in consistency between Uhaul stores and the online reservation system, which is likely the cause of the â€œmissingâ€ equipment I reserved.MONTEL G.

Get the one guy working there some help. He was working alone on Easter and when we returned our truck there were so many people there was no way he could keep up- not his fault, it is just more than a one man job.JOSHUA L.
Jamie was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He deserves the utmost praise. I observed him with other customers as well and he was just as amazing with them as he was with me! Your location at 311 W Main St, however, left something to be desired. I was very disappointed as I needed a truck at 12:30pm this past Saturday and got a call at 9:30am saying there wasn't one available but she was going to see if there was something she could work out and she'd call me back. I got a call at almost 2:30pm, 2 HOURS AFTER I'd needed to get a truck! I'd already gone to Jamie's location and gotten a van.Laura M.

I was 1 hr late picking up my reserved truck. They told me the order was cancelled and it took 2 HOURS to get. Another truck!! The manager was in a terrible mood and was bad mouthing the nice young man working with her. She should be fired!! She wasn't nice to us either!! Meriden CT location.David E.

When I arrived at the location Jaime made the process quick and easy. This was my first time renting from your company. Comment: When I first picked up rental, fuel level was at 3/4 of a tank. Upon returning rental I had inadvertently refilled fuel tank past 3/4 mark to 7/8. Perhaps overage can be credited to customer to be used in future rental with company.Jose M.

Truck was not ready windshield was covered in ice and snow. No kind of snow removal tool was available. Worker used broom handle to break up ice on windshield. Wipers did not work were riped had to be replaced. As the renter i had to discover this and insist it be done.Susan B.
The online reservation system is really messy. The availability of equipment should be linked with each location. Also, the confirmation email sent to me gave the wrong location to call. Things got very confusing for both me and the locations.Edward D.

When I initially booked the truck (the day before needing it) I received a voicemail a few hours later saying they had no trucks available for that time and had to move by booking to the afternoon. I frantically called customer service and they assured me I could get the truck in the morning as long as I had it back by 1pm. So they moved the booking back to 8am. About an hour later I receive another voicemail from the store saying there are no trucks available for 8am and they were again moving the booking to 2:30pm. I call customer service again who again moves it back to 8am and assured me I'm all set that I can pick the truck up for 8am. I go to Uhaul for 8am and surprisingly they did have a truck for me. So I'm unsure what all the confusion was but I am glad I was able to get the truck when needed.HALEY B.

I was double charged I was renting for 1 day yet I was charged for 2 and the insurance for 2 days. I now have to waste more of my time as customer care told me I had to call billing to get my card refunded. It could have been an honest mistake but I have to give up my time in my day to get my money back nowRussell G.
You need to make sure each location has eqmnt .I reserved an appl. Hand truck for 10 advise that Meriden location didn't have 1..not good.... also the truck had no ramp----- so we had to hand lift a refrigerator on to the truck ..that was not easy ...so if you could pls tell your renters up front about what you have or not ....also if your paying by cash you need a 100 deposit ...the store rep advised me that the reservation line only take reservation and will resv what you ask not knowing what's at location NOT GOOD ..........Sheryl M.

It was a very pleasant experience and the staff member , Raul, was a pleasure to deal with. He was very friendly and helpful, we had a slight issue with the rear door and he came outside and took care of it for us. Overall this location and Raul made our moving day, which is normally an extremely stressful thing, a whole lot easier and less stressful. You don't find that often in 2020. I would highly recommend this location and will definitely be going back for any future needs. Thank you Raul and thank you U-Haul!!Michael W.

The friendliness and service from the staff was amazing. Their was a slight mixup with the reservation and the original vehicle I needed wasn't available but the staff was quick to get a replacement vehicle and get me on my way. IF A CUSTOMER INTENDS TO RETURN A VEHICLE AFTER BUSINESS HOURS, STAFF SHOULD TELL PEOPLE THAT THE ONLINE CHECKOUT PROCESS REQUIRES PHOTOS TO BE TAKEN, SO WARN PEOPLE TO WAIT UNTIL THEY COMPLETE THE CHECKOUT TO PLACE THE VEHICLE KEYS IN THE DROPBOX.Amanda L.
The self return is frustrating, after 2 days of moving the last thing I want to have to do is spend 20 mins talking pictures of the truck. Also the dolly that was in the back of the truck had no clip on it and I did no realize this until it was too late to call anyone and I don't want to be charged for it. Only clip was on the blanket. I must say one of the women that worked there were very nice and I was there when thier was an issue with a truck and another customer and she handled it so well and the other customer left happy.
