The Location reviewed is for: U-Haul of North Miami 2269 NE 163rd St North Miami Beach, FL 33162 (Corner Of Biscayne & 163rd St) I rented a storage unit, and the website says 27/7 access, however that is NOT Accurate! This is the 2nd time I've tried accessing my storage unit and keep getting the same message "Access Denied". To make matters worse the Main Gate is actually the Exit Gate and the Exit Gate is programed as the Main Gate. After entering my code at the Exit Gate, I get a Welcome Message, however the building dial pad states "Access Denied" so it's impossible to access my unit. Calling the after-hours number posted on the Exit Gate Keypad is pointless as the manager never returns your call. What is the purpose of posting an after-hours number if they NEVER respond?? What really infuriates me is that earlier today, I contacted the location and told them about the 1st access issue and they confirmed that I did have 24//7 access and should not have any issues accessing my unit. Called the U-Haul 800 number....they do not have the ability to provide access, even though I'm current on the storage charge, what value can U-Haul's support provide if they are not able to provide access to your belongings find it insane U-Haul can't code their systems properly, they should find better programmers or replace the management. If you want 24/7 access then I'd look elsewhere for your storage needs and something is not right with this location!! The location personal are very friendly and nice, just wish the system functioned property and management actually did their job. U-Haul really needs to get their act together!!Mike S.

When I picked up the trailer I asked Mario if the air pressure was checked because the right tire looked low and he answered yes. My shop is 1 mile away as soon as I arrived back I checked the air and the right tire had only 11psi The requirements is 65psi Within the 21 hours of rental I had to fill up the tire 3 times!!!!!!Danny N.

THE SERVICE IS TOO SLOW... THE EMPLOYEES ARE TOP NOTCH BUT THE SYSTEM IS RIDICULOUS. IF I DO MY RESERVATION, PAYMENT, DL SCAN AND CHECK IN ONLINE OR IN THE APP, WHY DO I HAVEVTO DO AN HOUR OR SOMETIMES MORE THAN HOUR AND A HALF OF LINE TO REDO THE SAME AT THE DESK? IT WOULD BE MORE PRACTICAL TO GO TO THE GUYS AT THE YARD, SHOW THEM MY RESERVATION NUMBER WITH THE CHECK IN, AND GO! IT'S RIDICULOUS THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT I WASTENIN THAT LINE WHEN, IN MY CASE, I ONKY RENT AUTOTRANSPORTS!!!MARTIN C.
The system worked well (checking in with my phone etc.). The gas gauge showed less than what was recorded ( It allowed me to dispute it). Dash board was very dusty and there was a used face mask on the floor of the cab. I drove about 1 mile then discovered the left side mirror was so loose and moving around that I was able to lift it out of the holder. I returned truck and got another one. Exchange went smoothly and truck was ok but the same issue came up with the gas gauge. Record showed more gas than what was on the gauge of the truck. Whoever is checking the trucks need to be more careful. Two trucks and two mistakes with the gas recorded and a loose mirror is not good. The woman (Synthia, I believe) in the office was very helpful. If I recommend this place to a friend it will be with a warning.Ursalem K.

The vehicle ran fine but it had a check engine light on seems like you shouldn't rent out trucks to drive across country with the check engine light on. Also we paid 20 $to a employee via cash app to put our car on the tow dolly, after driving from Miami to west palm we noticed one of the tires was out of the ropes and diver the tire is supposed to sit in. Appears that it was because the tire was very low on air- but this seems like something an employee should checkJoseph K.

Stood in line for about 20 minutes and I had to ask someone to help me with my return myself. Employees sit inside and completely forget they work there. Location needs better management.RODHANAH W.

Nothing more to add except the staff Ms. Cynthia who attended to my check in to pick up vehicle was very professional answered all my concerns in a professional manner the other staff working I didn't get their names but they all were professional and quick with handling other customer needs I observed that as Ms. Cynthia attended with my rental outside male staff showed me the entire truck so as to make sure it was okay and he was very professional and assisted me when asking about opening and closing door. I have rented many times from this location and have always been treated with the upmost respect. When I picked up the trailer it looked like it had a bend in the hitch I asked the guy wow that looks low. I had to wrap with a plastic bag it was so low as did not want chains to drag. good job I was transporting light stuff. the trailer tracked very well and no issues along the way.RANDALL G.

I have been overcharged 410 $. It's been days and the charge I has not been credited. Very bad billing. Didn't expect this from U-HaulKLEBER D.
Improve the speed of the service is definitely a must. Returning equipment wait was too long during the business hours considering I m the second in line. I still waited twenty plus minutes. Reserved a pick up truck but the truck was not available upon arrival. Fortunately a cargo van was able to hold the item that I need to transport. I was in shock when the service person told me that the truck is not available. Service was courteous but the moral was a little lack luster.the business didn't seem to busy but every employee was busy with something else. I counted six employees were working. But everyone was busy with something else. Two out of the six were legitimately busy with customers Other four were busy doing something else. At 9 am. Four peole were in line. I had to wait almost ten minutes while I was third in line. But the service was courtesy and that's the most important part for me. Although the waiting is a little unpleasant. But not too bad. It would be bad if there were a few more customers. .Michael C.

Saturday morning, trucks aren't ready, can't find keys a homeless person was clearly sleeping in a vehicle, with beer bottles and the smell of urine. The truck had used masks and paperwork left behind in it. Returning the truck an employee ignored me and walk past me three times. It appears that a young lady (asst or manager) was standing there and witnessed this said nothing to the guy even after I repeated my question. Sunday I go back to speak with a manager it was the same young lady but at 10AM she was at McDonald's. I did leave my name & number for the general manager to call, but of course like his employees, he ignored the customer.MARK F.

Only complaint is that to return the unit the guy who checked me out told me I was good to go. I asked if I will get an e mail and he said yes. An hour later no e mail and I check the app and still showed â€œin useâ€ i had to call the location that was still open for my luck to ask to close the rental cause I didn't want them to keep charging me for extended time. I was there at 7 am. There were also several people waiting outside. The store is suppose to be open at 7am. It was dark inside the store. Doors were unlocked at about 7:25am. If you are not going to open promptly at 7am then change your store hours. You wasted 25min of my valuable time waiting outside.JULIAN C.

Location is practical for us living in this area. Although difficult of access on this very busy fairway. The van was dirty inside and out. Had not been washed in quiet a while. You could write messages on the outside with no problem... But the van itself ran well. Had enough space for our needs. Was not beat up or broken. Return was easy. The process was painless. The App could be a bit more user friendly. Too many questions to answer when under the pressure of moving. Staff at this location seemed very stressed and unhappy. You could tell they forced themselves to remain just polite. Hard times I guess. All in all it was practical for us and we accomplished our move swiftly. Also saw a special on a small storage in the store. So we will take one for our remaining items. Thank you for your services.JOHN D.
