Scam Alert! Don't give them your credit card number! I rented a 20ft truck on July 20, 2021 to drop off at Uhaul at the 9390 9th St. North (Gandy) in St. Petersburg location per the contract. I dropped the truck off the same day, July 20, 2021, at 8:30pm at the North St. Petersburg location (9th St. North & Gandy). Below are pictures of the drop-off site and the truck. Note the time/day stamp 7/20 at 8:32 PM. The agreed fee was 171,29 $, as I followed up with the manager, Richard Flounary, Jr., on July 21 to confirm there were no outstanding fees. Richard Flounary, Jr., confirmed there were no additional fees. A month later, I receive a call from someone threatening to turn me in for still having the uhaul truck?!? Subsequently, Uhaul has tried to charge my account 2 245,29 $ on 9/9; 1 932,88 $ on 9/21; 1 932,88 $ on 9/22; and 1 449,66 $ on 9/22 (2x on same day). Yesterday, Ebony claimed the truck was abandoned by me at some unknown location? Today, the manager said that I had the truck towed to some remote location? What the heck is going on over there?!? Despite my demanding that they review their "video", which will provide even fools proof that Uhaul lost their own truck. Or in the alternative, Uhaul is trying to scam me for an additional 2 245,29 $ because they think I have it. I've given Uhaul the chance to make it right, but they will not even review their own video that will demonstrate they lost/towed their own truck. Why would Uhaul not review their video...? This doesn't smell right. I'm filing a consumer protection complaint first with the State of Florida, Department of Regulation. Renters Beware! Take pictures - or you will regret it!Loretta S.
Very pleasant team and went out of their way to assist to extend our agreement, when we were unable to return the truck under the original agreement. Used them two weekends in a row and will go back for rental if we need another rental.Jackie P.

The man who assisted us was really rude, my friend asked him questions he just ignored. I think his name is Don or Ron. He said the the collision damage waiver was required on rental vehicles, I tried to show him uhaul website that says that it's optional he refused to look at my phone, doesn't even want to talk to me. Tell me to call back tomorrow to talk to manager, I didn't need to talk to a manager just need him to listen and actuallycommunicate. I rented from this location many times. My experience at the North St. Petersburg Florids UHAUL was absolutely terrible. This facility almost never has adequate customer parking. The parking lot is always jam packed with rental vehicles and trailers, and customers are always hard pressed to find parking. The credit card reader and IT infrastructure supporting the point of sale credit card machine was not working causing me and other customers behind me to experience unacceptable wait times. The utility van I was given had low tire pressure resulting in a low tire pressure warning appearing on the dashboard and the tires were almost bald. The front shock absorbers on the vehicle were worn where every time the vehicle hit a bump the front end would bounce around.RICHARD G.

I needed to move a sofa I rented a 10ft truck. The truck appeared well-maintained. I had an alarm indicating low tire pressure on the right front tire. I left my handtruck and dolly in the vehicle. I returned the next morning and the items were not discoverable. The vehicle I used was back out. Uhaul advertise 19,95 $ in town rentals yet the price is still double that 43 $.richard F.

I did everything I knew to insure a smooth transaction. I was very disappointed. I went to the U-Haul dealer 2 weeks in advance. I already had an account with U-Haul form previous rental. When I got to the facility to pick up a trailer, I needed to provide my driver's license and credit card again. What is the purpose of pre-registering with an account? I called back before the end of the contract to extend my reservation. No problem. When I returned the trailer 47 hours after picking it up there was no one at the location. I used the app to attempt to complete the reservation and the app would not accept my pictures. So I called the station to leave a message, that was not possible either. Then I saw the owner walk into the front door, I waved at him and pointed to the trailer as he locked the door behind him as he went in. Now I receive a bill for having the trailer for 4 days, when I only had it for 47 hours. I would appreciate this issue to be straightened out. Charge my card for the 2 days I used the trailer not the other 2 days it sat on the drop-off location.Dale F.

Don't loose the damn truck up return, call customer 4 days after return looking for it, saying there's no valid contract that we have to return the truck, WE ALREADY DID.. AND THEN CHARGE FOR MILES OVER when no it was not!!!! YOU HAD THE TRUCK FOR 4 DAYS!!!!! AND THE BEST PART, YOU CHARGE JAMES CARD ONLY TO REMOVE IT AND THEN CHARGE MY CARD!!!!! AWFUL SERVICE!!! I will make sure no one I know goes to that location to avoid getting burned!!!!!!James M.

we were told we could drop the uhaul off anywhere however we were assigned a uhaul locations 20 minutes away instead of 2 minutes away from our house. We then had to waste 15 minutes on the phone with customer service for them to tell us we needed to confirm where we dropped it off (even though we were told we could drop it off anywhere). more so, when dropping off the uhaul the staff was very rude and gave us an attitude over only having a mobile version of the contract and not the paper version.Gabriela C.
