The problem is not at this pick up location. I booked a truck on UHaul website 1 month in advance. It was clear there is a truck for me on a pickup location close to me. However, the day before I moved, UHaul called me that there was only a smaller trucker 15 miles away at this location. Cancel it or pickup there. What can I do? I have to pay a 30 miles more. It is so bad

it was confusing online - I asked to pick up at one location but then it got changed and I wasn't notified. I called and called and couldn't get through and finally someone called me back. it said I needed a vehicle inspection before hand and to schedule that but then I called and they said they could do it when we pick up. just confusing all around

Truck was not there on arrival as promised then associate left lock on truck back door didnt find out till I got home then went back to get key once I got the key I went back home to find out they forgot the dolly so had to go back for a 4th time that day they also didnt get my order right i ordered a 2 wheel car dolly they gave me a full sized car trailer which was way too much for me to handle and really made it much harder to get around a back up in residential areas so it took my packing and unpacking time double my wife's car also got hit in the process because the truck and trailer was so big I could not put it next to the curb like I could do with the 2wheel dolly so it stuck out into the street a bit my wife parked her car behind us and put her hazards on when I was loading the car on the trailer a mini van slammed into the back of her parked car cause he was on his phone so now her new car doesn't run so we had to tow it and she had to ride in the tow truck on a 2 hour trip so over all I would say my experience was worse than I could imagine.

It's been years since I hired a Uhaul. My last experience was pretty average. This experience was much better. The guy at the counter in Oxnard was quick and friendly. The truck was clean and ran without any problems. There was even a lock that was provided for the lift gate. I was a little late with the return and the guy said no problem. Good service!

When I got their I told them to reemburseme the miles she said she will and took the new miles. The after hours drop off is a nice feature, but the app/instruction/experience itself was lacking. After 14 hour day of moving, myself, wife, daughter, two dogs waited over an hour at the location, struggling with the app which hung on location services (saying my iphone could not confirm location), and offered no tutorial or faqs to troubleshoot. As an above avg technology user, the problem was not intuitive, and dial-in customer svc was a 40 min wait. Once that issue was solved, the app would not accept a valid credit card, nor the 4 photos I was required to take. I would not have done the drop off if I knew in advance how problematic it was, and in all honesty it was a stressful, unwelcome end to a long day. Testing beta programs with customers is fine, but making them pay for bugs with their time is not great.

I was set up to pick up the truck at 9:00 am. I put all of my information in so I could pickup the truck by phone. When I got there that didn’t work. I got in line with ten other people with one person working at the desk. He left during my reservation to have a furniture dolly added. When he came back he punched him in a number for the dolly. When I got to my destination there was no dolly. I had to send my wife back with our SUV to pickup the dolly. The person at the desk told her I never ordered one. So he added one on to the contract. I looked at my original contract and was Charged for a dolly. I was the 3rd person in line and was out of the store at 9:35. Anyway the service wasn’t so good. Luckily I shouldn’t need to rent another truck. If I do, I probably won’t have a choice on where I will have to gp

We got a text the day before pick up that we had to drive to a pick up location further away from our home. The manager at new location was rude and unapologetic about the inconvenience. He said we could go online and request a credit if $50 for the inconvenience and added cost for this last min change. We have not done that yet but would have at least liked an apology. The return location then added $14 to the fee for extra mileage. This is really disappointing and I would not recommend UHaul for this reason.

I tried to tell the originating Uhaul in El Centro that I needed to keep the truck a couple extra days due to delays and they said no problem, just turn it in when you're done. I got a call from the drop off Uhaul location the morning after truck was due back asking where truck was, they had a reservation waiting on it. This didnt affect me, but somebody didnt get their truck on time because it wasnt noted in the computer that I'd have it the extra days. Hope everything worked out for them

one thing that really bothers me,is that the last couple of times Ihave rented a van the front seats have not been vacuumed properly. It's either dog hair or cat hair all over the seats.i have had to go home and vacuum it myself!

I reserved the trailer for Ventura thru U Haul. Day and a half letter was notifed my ouck location had changed. I used express check in, but had to do every step anyway. Bill was $42 more then was quoated on web site. Store was clean, well organized and stocked. He hooked up trailer and tested lights. Right side was not working. He twisted and bent 4 wire connection and check again, still didn't work, he twisted, mashed and bent again, checked and then said all good. I asked are you sure?? He gave me the thumbs up. I got pulled over and the base of the grape vine. Right side was not working. Officer did not cite me, because my vehicle lights were visable. Got pulled over two more times, was not cited but a huge inconvenience, and super stressful. ( Right side wires were hanging down with multiple splices.

Our reservation was messed up TWICE - after receiving a reservation confirmation, I was later called and said that the truck we reserved is no longer available at that location, and we had to pick an alternate (further away location). And then, on the day of pick-up, we were told that our reservation was for a smaller truck than we had reserved, and they did not have a truck available that we had indicated in our reservation (a 17 foot truck instead of a 26 foot). Consequently, we were unable to move all of our belongings on the day of our move. I am extremely disappointed by U-Hauls poor management of our reservation, and am unlikely to ever book a moving truck with U-Haul again, as I feel my "guaranteed" reservation will never be guaranteed.

Reduce checkout time by training staff to type and think. The 2-finger Tyler I encountered was clearly a yard bird who was required to checkout equipment. Also try to open before 9am as most of us are trying to get loaded and moving. Won’t use U-Haul again.

The personnel as the U-Haul store were great but the truck had BAD SAFETY issues the Stearing Box needs to be replaced or adjusted lots of slop 1/4 turn of play put me all over the road, also the wipers just moved the water around did not clear the windshield as for how clean the truck was clean inside but the out side of the cab was a mess.

17' truck was reserved previously in the week, was not available at designated time. I was given a 10' truck as replacement. It did not fit my needs as I required a ramp and higher ceiling to fit a fridge but had already hired help to move. Staff seemed unapologetic. I was given a $50 reimbursement though I'm still aggravated with the customer support.

When I picked up the trailer there was only one guy on duty and though I ordered it on line etc I had to wait in excess of 30 minutes in line because the one fellow had to work the front desk, then go out and connect trailers etc. 4 people in line in front of me. That was a real drag despite the fact that I had ordered on line, etc. Wasn't his fault, was the company's fault for having only one guy work the place. Second guy showed up after the line was done to only a few.
