I didn't interact with the Pompano Beach office very much. That said, it seems they did their part because they stored the box for a time and then it shipped to Chicago properly as I requested

LATIA T.My reservation that I booked 1 month out had many problems. I arrived at the location my UHaul app told me to arrive to, only to find out my contract actually stated to go to a different location 25 minutes away in Pompano. When I arrived, I was told they did not have my truck available for me, and that I would have to call a number. I called, and the rep was very courteous and said they fixed the problem and that my truck was indeed here at the Pompano location. I went back inside and told them what the rep said, and they began to retrieve my truck. The truck took 30 minutes to arrive, at which point I was told a check engine light was on and would take time to fix. Another 40 minutes passed and eventually I was able to rent my truck. The whole process was very cumbersome and frustrating, and it felt like the truck I had reserved and planned for could fall through at any moment. I now do not want to use UHaul again even after having used them for multiple moves before.

Juan R.Reservation process was a nightmare. I booked one location for pickup. When I showed up they informed me that my pickup location had been changed. Drove to the next place. At this new location the one trailer that fit my size did not have functioning trailer lights, so now on to the third place.
James P.I've made a UHaul truck reservation @ U-Hauk of Pompano Beach (788056) 801 S Andrews Ave, Pompano Beach, FL 33069. When I entered the building location to pick up my vehicle the agent who reviewed my information quoted me a different total price. When I kindly asked to provide more information about the different price he was not able to provide more detail regarding the difference between the initial reservation and the quoted price. I had to disagree with him, he lacked customer service skills to answer a simple question on why the price was different. He got into a verbal argument with me by telling me that this is the price,take it or leave it. When I responded and it was clear that I am not going to agree with the quoted from him price another female agent stepped in and reviewed the information where she found out that the input approximate millage was overstated from 80 miles to 180 in which the other agent again tried to argue and to blame me that I told him 180miles instead of 80miles which is what I initially stated on my online reservation. Only after I got upset with the first male agent that assisted me and the matter escalated into a verbal disagreement the 2nd female agent was able to stepped in and resolve the misunderstanding. I used the equipment and everything was fine after however I wanted to make you aware of the lack of customer service skills with the first male agent. He was not very professional and was not able to resolve a simple question regarding the difference in price furthermore he was acting as if it was my fault for the approximate millage statement. The kid was very argumentative towards me and surprisingly rude.
Ilian L.1- REALLY need to improve on customer service. Very rude from the get go. 2- if the equipment is not available, you should not have it on the website to chose. I would have gone else where had I known you did not have the dollies available when I picked up the truck.
Anthony R.My confirmation email gave me a pickup location of Post n Go on McNab Rd., close to my home. When I got there I encountered the rudest person ever and no truck. He sent us to another location where the woman was much nicer. She had a truck but not the equipment I had reserved. The whole experience was horrible and I will not be using Uhaul again. I've also shared my experience with my friends, family and thousands of fellow realtors. What is the point of your reservations and confirmation emails if you don't have the equipment??? Extremely low rating anywhere possible for Uhaul!

Maria L.The trailer itself was clean inside but in tough shape in parts outside-- topical damage which did not hinder riding function. After experiencing rain during the first day of our 800-mile trip, it continually leaked inside from the back left roof. Upon delivering to dropoff, it was noted that both turn signals were not working--- not sure how long they were not working.
SIOUXZEN W.I arrived at the location and was directed by a guy working there, he told me that I needed to tip him or I would have to be charged an unloading fee for dropping off the trailer. I am extremely disappointed that someone who worked there shook me down for cash in order to do their jobs, I will be making a formal complaint.

OBEST F.When I left with the truck there was less than a half a tank and when I returned it they wanted me to fill it to half a tank ..I put $25 in gas before I returned the truck and the meter didn't even move and then I was charge $35 for fuel so that is $60 in fuel that I put in your truck when I didn't even use probably $10 in fuel to move my stuff that is a racket that is bullshit and I took a screenshot before I drove off the lot and the car wasn't even filled up to half it was below you guys totally suck!

Roger L.I was delayed over an hour picking up my rental truck because they could not check in the equipment from a prior rental. Finally, they upgraded me to a larger truck that I didn't want and said it would cost the same. It did not. The next morning I asked GM Johnny Coleman for $10 credit plus a little more for my time as I also had to stop at another Uhaul location to pick up a hand truck they did not have ready. He stated he'd look into it more but at least would credit the $10 price difference. I've not received a credit. Renter beware! I'm not sure if this is intentional misrepresentation/lying on their part or just horrible business practices…but I won't do business with this location again. It's a shame because the person helping me at the counter was overall pleasant and professional.
