The gentleman behind the counter was not pleasant to work with. He didn't appear to like his job, he seemed to just go through the motions. I said THANK You at the end of the transaction, didn't acknowledge me at all and turned and just walked away.

Uhaul of State College shipped someone else's U-box under my name, leading to a three week delay. The staff here are almost impossible to get a hold of via phone; despite multiple calls I was never able to reach the manager, even when calling his number directly. Despite experiencing considerable confusion about where my box actually was, I never received a call or any contact from Uhaul of State College, and had to figure it out only with the assistance of Uhaul staff at my shipping destination. They also charged me an extra month's storage fee for the box which was held at their location for a month due to their own error. When I visited the location in person after loading but before my box was shipped, the staff gave me confusing and inconsistent information about where my box was, and ultimately told me (incorrectly) that it has already been shipped. The staff seemed to not know where it was or how to figure that out. Service here is also very slow. My box arrived for loading at my house several hours after the end of the four hour window I gave them, which the deliverymen attributed to delays at the Ubox facility preventing them from picking it up. This is consistent with my other experiences here which also involved delays or unresponsive staff. The Uhaul location on N. Atherton has much better service and I would strongly recommend them over the Benner Pike location.

On older trucks with 50K plus mileage a little cleanup in the drivers cabin would be nice. I think you should pay your pick up and drop off folks a little money if they can prove they did add'l cleanup of the drivers cabin. Great location very helpful.

I have found that there is no benefit to checking in ahead of time. It seams that the representatives in the store go through all of the information again anyways, and that it saves no time. The representatives other than the manager seem to usual move slow and generally do not have consideration for the customers possible urgency to conserve time.

My son packed my items and loaded the ubox. They brought the box when requested, they picked it up when we asked. They drove my ubox to their closest facility to my home in Pennsylvania.

The UHaul model of farming out phone service was a bit of an issue I could rarely get through to the local office always talking to someone at corporate, some mixed signals but everything worked out.

I was pleased overall. I shipped a ubox from CA to PA. Pickup and delivery were on schedule with no damage. Although scheduling times were put off to the last minute, and required multiple calls.
