After making reservation was told by U-haul that the location did not have a trailer for me. U-haul made me travel another location 30 miles away. When I arrived there at the appointment time I was told the trailer was late and wouldn't arrive for until 8 hours later in the day.Michael H.

Terrible customer service. They did not have the size truck we reserved. The only truck they had was huge and did not have any gas in it. We were told it was common for the gas to be stolen at night, so why don't they put locking gas caps on the trucks? I should not have to pay for their mistake. We were told to fill up at the nearby gas station. We were told that we would be given credit for the extra gas, but we were not given nearly enough to make up for the amount we had to put in the tank. They did not honor their promise to provide the right equipment at the right time at the right location. A couple of days later I tried to to call the manager. After being on hold for an hour, I finally talked to him. He lied and told me that he provided me better equipment so the guarantee did not apply. The website says very clearly that there is a $50 credit if they do not fulfill the reservation correctly. When I told him they did not provide better equipment, he lied and said that I could have gone to another location to get the size truck I wanted. He was very unhelpful and had no interest in providing customer service or honoring their guarantee. I called UHaul main office and am hoping to get the situation resolved.Kerry H.

When I reserved a 15' truck, it was 70ish for two days, but when I arrived and decided I only want a 10', the price went up to 90dollar and it was crazy. They didn't provide a lock and my boxes on uhaul got stollen. The lost is around 2000dollars. I don't this is fair.Yongyao S.

My reservation was for another location (Broadway in Sac), but when I arrived I was redirected to West Sac because the site I reserved doesn't keep that large a truck on site. Everyone at both locations were friendly and helpful, and they get high ratings, but it was a fail on U=Haul's technology that I was not alerted to the different location before my arrival.Maia S.

I have used U-HAUL multuple times . This was the second time I have used this site even though there is one closerchristopher H.
TLDR: There is a major disconnect internally at U-Haul with the scheduling of these boxes and my delivery/pick-up dates were rescheduled multiple times, which seems to me like that could have been avoided with a semi-functioning scheduling system (or perhaps the issue is internal communication?). The customer service interactions I had with West Sac U-Haul were extremely confusing, inconsiderate, and just straight rude at times. I do not recommend using them if possible. Read on for more details about my super fun experience! I used the U-Box services to ship my items from Nebraska to Sacramento. This move was very last minute but still, I had no issues coordinating a pick-up time with the Nebraska location. The West Sacramento location on the other hand, was a nightmare to work with. I did not have an address to live in Sacramento when I left Nebraska due to the quick turn of events, which is one of the major advantages of using the U-Box service. Once I did have an unload address and date, I called to schedule the delivery of my U-Box. I called on a Monday and scheduled my delivery for the upcoming Saturday (5 days notice - a timeline the Nebraska location had no problem accommodating). Two hours later, I received a call from a different U-Haul representative informing me the dates I had just confirmed were actually not available and the earliest delivery was not for another 3 weeks - my items were confirmed to have been in Sacramento for a few weeks at this point so the delay was not due to the shipping of the items. I swallowed my frustration and agreed on an August 12th delivery date with an August 14th pick-up (Friday-Sunday). The week of the move, I received a confirmation phone call to confirm drop-off/pick-up dates of August 11th to August 12th (NOT what we had agreed upon - and I had friends lined up to help me move on August 13th). After a significant amount of back and forth, I was able to have my drop-off date adjusted to August 12th and pick-up date on August 15th. I was told at that point the drivers do not work on the weekends which is reasonable in itself but I don't understand why that was never brought up previously when I had initially confirmed a delivery on a Saturday and then confirmed a rescheduled option that involved a Sunday pick-up. There was clearly a giant communication gap in their scheduling system. I understand hiccups happen and am more than willing to work around them but the communication/customer service I received from the West Sacramento office throughout this experience was absolutely unacceptable. It was inconsistent, rude, and just downright confusing. There was never an attempt at an explanation for the delay or even the slightest hint of an apology that this meant I had to sleep on an air mattress for 2+ weeks. I never received straight answers when I asked questions and I was never confident the person on the other end of the line was on the same page as me. By the time my delivery date came, I wouldn't have been surprised if it didn't show up or I received the wrong box! Thankfully, I have my items now but I would absolutely NOT recommend using the West Sacramento U-Haul location until they figure out how to properly schedule and communicate the schedule. I would like to specifically call out the delivery driver who was super pleasant to work with and I am convinced she is the only reason I actually received my box! The day of the delivery, I received a voicemail from the office that my delivery was being cancelled because I was not answering my phone even though I had just answered my phone and agreed on a delivery time with the driver. I ignored the voicemail and called the delivery driver back directly and confirmed we were still set for our agreed upon time and it went smoothly after that. Once again - the disconnect at the office is just confounding!jacqueline S.

Make sure the employees are following company policies and not creating they're own as if they own the business. The front desk clerk refused to give me my rental at the time I arrived and made me wait over a hour while I called the customer service number. I was over all happy with my rental and saved hundreds of dollars using your services verses what I would of paid to have someone move my property for me. I believe i returned the equipment back in the exact time I needed it and in the condition I picked it up in. Besides being forced to wait for no reason It was a great experience.Kirk A.
