The staff was exceptional. Check in was easy and an actual breeze. I came back later to pick-up the truck couldn't figure out the back door mechanism. He came out helped me. The Headlights were extremely challenging. No real difference between LOW and HIGH beams.walt M.
Left turn signal did not work when unit was picked up and facility seen that it wasn't working and told me that it work start working when it got better contact through ball. But wiring has its own ground and this is wrong I'm a mechanic and knew this was bot the case but was in a hurry. I feel like I should be compensated for this problem. I've rented before with no issues but this time it wasn't a good experience.Arturo R.

The thing rose very low could not take weight it was suppose to for load . Dragged a hell of a lot hit a bump in road grinded road . Was a hell of a long nerve wracking 1200 miles plus I had to leave more than planned due to not taking load it should . Fresh start if definitely in the meaning of this move !!!!!Ruth Y.

Everything was good except for the electrical system. The brake lights and turn signals were checked, but running lights were not. Trailer was completely dark driving at night. I tried unsuccessfully to get Lights to work with poor connection on trailer. Had to drive with flashers on in some areas to avoid trailer getting hit.Keith B.
I was accused of stealing equipment from customer service number. No one could get in touch with the store to find out if dolly was actually there I had to drive all the way across town to find out myself. Guy at desk was rude and unprofessional. The customer service number said I didn't return truck when I did it on the website and it told me truck and equipment was returned. The location has bad reviews on google and they all are correct. I was very disappointed with my experience and probably won't ever rent another uhaul.dillon L.
Rented a 5x8 trailer from the 6th street location in Albuquerque, nm. The trailer was rented to me with obvious long-term extreme wear and a chunk of tread missing from the tire. This couldn't have been missed during inspection if inspection was done. I did call roadside assistance to have the tire replaced and it took 4 hours at 1030pm for someone to come out and change the tire. When I got back to the same U-Haul to return the trailer I told the person checking in the trailer and showed him the picture and all he said was "oh damn" then continued to check in the trailer. I then went inside to let the gentleman at the front desk know who had a name tag that said "Owner" and a polo shirt that said "General Manager" and all he said was "oh wow" in a careless voice. When I asked him if I was going to be reimbursed for the wait and the danger he put my family and I in for renting out a trailer that was not inspected and had a chunk of tire missing he said "no, that is what roadside assistance is for". I then asked him if that's how they do business by sending out equipment that puts people lives at risk and he again told me that is why they have roadside assistance and they may have missed it during inspection. As the picture shows this tire has had long-term wear on the tire and of course the whole chunk missing from the tire. From what I was told from the 800 number, this trailer belongs to that location as a local rental so they should know the condition of this trailer if it was inspected before and after each rental.Nick T.
The guy who checked the truck back in was professional and friendly. The one at the counter who I went over the paperwork with and got the keys from was not so professional. He seems to think that the U-Haul counter is an appropriate place to hit on women. He asked me where I work and where I'm from and at some point with his questions I had to just tell him it's none of his business. Not only is it rude and unprofessional and just annoying being objectified every place I go, people don't have time to waste when they're trying to pick up a truck and haven't even gotten to where they're going yet.Sandra J.

Rude customer care representative. He said his name is Reid. They charged me $20 overnight fee although I returned the truck about 12 hours earlier (dropped the key in the drop box, then used the web to check out, but it didn't work, so I contacted customer care and they didn't answer). The receipt shows that the rent was for 5 hours although they extended until 12 pm next day with no extra charges, but still charging me $20.AHMED B.

Was charged $10 for coverage I said I didn't want then charged another $25 for returning the vehicle at 8:30pm. So a $19,99 add ended up being $70 plus after mileage and all other charges.Shawn G.

I had to purchase a floor dolly because they couldn't find one to rent me. They tried to get me to take an upright dolly which I refused. I paid for moving blankets and they forgot to put them in the trailer. I called and asked them to take it off the bill and they did. However their attitudes were very nice and professional so I just consider the human factor in forgetting the blankets.SrMarie A.

Hire people who do their jobs and WANT to do their jobs. The people I interacted with were obviously unhappy to work there, did not check or clean the equipment or put the moving supplies I had previously paid for in the truck and I didn't know until I arrived at my move site. The truck was damaged and I didn't know until I was on the road and it was extremely unsafe. Never again.zana B.

The staff there wasn't knowledgeable about the tow dolly we rented. I ended up putting the strap for the wheel tie down incorrectly. The staff there had me tightened down the safety chains by twisting them. The did not inform me that I couldn't back up the tow dolly with the vehicle on it. Consequently, the wheels of the vehicle turned and made the car unstable. We took my truck, the tow dolly and the car in tow to a U-haul dealer in Yukon, OK. He took the safety chains off and the wheel tie downs. He had us unload the car and reload it on the tow dolly. He showed us how to correctly install the straps on the ratchet. He also showed us how to install the safety chains. We never had a problem with the tow dolly after that.joseph C.

I dealt with one guy who was nice enough. The other guy was a real jerk. I was a very rainy move. I only had two loads and a very short commute. I didn't use that much gas. The tank was full when I got the truck and was still full when I dropped off the truck. This little trip still cost me $55+. The jerky dude made me sweep the trailer of small chards of wood from the furnature and charged me for clean up.Kimberly C.
THE PERSON THAT HELPED ME AT 9:00am DID NOT WANT TO REVIEW THE TRUCK WITH ME FOR EXISTING DAMAGE BUT TOLD ME TO TAKE PICTURES WITH MY PHONE. WHICH I DID. I THINK THAT HE DID NOT WANT TO GO OUT IN THE RAIN. IT HAD BEEN RAINING IN ALBUQUERQUE FOR MOST OF THE MORNING. (8/20/2022) MOST OF THE SLIGHT DAMAGE WAS ON THE BACK STORAGE BOX WHICH WAS MOSTLY SCRATCHS AND MINOR DINGS. THE CAB WAS NEW AND HAD VERY LITTLE DAMAGE. SOME OF THE MINOR DAMAGE DID NOT HAVE ANY PREVIOUS "X" MARKERS THAT UHAUL USES. (CONTRACT #17722860 DANIEL HAWKINS) HE ALSO RECOMMENDED THAT I WAIVE ANY INSURANCE BECAUSE I WAS ONLY GOING LESS THAN 30 MILES ONE WAY. WHICH I DID. THE ENTIRE TRIP TOOK LESS THAN 1/2 A DAY AND I RETURNED THE TRUCK TO THE BELEN, NM. LOCATION.daniel H.
