They are understaffed, and typically there is a large line to be helped. That line slowly moves lol. Once you do reach the staff, they are friendly, helpful, and personable. Also, they never answer their phones if you do have an issue so it's best just to go in person.

Undream J | Expérience généraleThe climate controlled facility was brand new so I do not have anything negative to say about the unit at all! Everything in my locker stayed dry and safe through Hurricane Ian! Everything else with this facility was horrible from the first time we arrived to get our storage unit location. The people were too busy socializing to help the 5 people waiting and my 7 min sign in took an extra 30 min. We were in the storage unit from September 10th to June 9th. We attempted to go to the office on Saturday morning to return the key and cancel our unit. They had at least 10 people in the store trying to be helped and we waited for 30 min for assistance until we decided to try and cancel online since this is how we originally reserved the unit. there is not an online option to cancel, we then tried to call with no answer for over 30 min. We decided to try the 800# and they were very nice and said they could cancel my auto payment however they said they had already charged my card as of that morning June 10th. They said I would need to contact the local store to get a refund since I was out before the billing. I have tried every other day to contact this store and tried every number listed. no one ever answers the phone or even accepts voice mail. this location is a 35 min drive and to drive down to see if I can get help in person is a gamble especially considering gas prices today! I have used the number on the invoice for Greeg Herrera locally also. 239 344 7409

jonalyn y | Premières impressionsI booked a one way U-Haul months in advance along with a storage unit on autopay with the first month free. Perfect. We do the online ride share on the uhaul app and get our U-Haul in Va and drive to Florida. We arrive and it turns out on Thursday's they close at 7pm and we couldn't get into our unit because it was after hours and we don't have an access code or key card. Fine. I ended up coming back the next morning to absolute disorganization and zero training. The woman working clearly knew how to do everything but she was training the new guy and instead of taking us one at a time told him to "just do it". After fumbling thru the system we were unable to find my reservation #, name, phone, etc despite having the screenshots, confirmation email, and texts literally letting me know my unit was ready up to that day from U-Haul! . Mind blown. We have to create an entire new account like I "walked in" and am then told the large first story unit was not available and I was actually going across the street to a smaller second level unit. I'm being told "it's no big deal" because "they have an elevator". Yeah one elevator for this warehouse with my unit being number in the 7000s so yeah. That was fun. Bottlenecked at one single elevator competing with dozens of other ppl also moving in and out of their units. I return back to the storefront because my key card is not working due to the initial folks not processing the part where I have home owners insurance and did not swipe the card on file so it didn't activate. Fine. The manager/owner then pops out and asks me "why I have an attitude " . Wow way to de escalate things.. buddy.I tell him he literally has zero clue what is going on and then ahas the audacity to attack me because I'm not pretty and smiling?! He ultimately helped us get the keys activated and I'm literally telling him how frustrated I am unloading this 26ft U-Haul as a young woman and that because of the multiple delays, my help (my brother who drove down with me) to unload from the night before and morning of, had to Uber from this parking lot to the airport and leave to catch a flight as we are now a full day behind schedule. . So there I sit. No suggestions other than to back it into the bay so it's not so hot. Thanks. Now I literally do this for hours. And hours. And hours. Trip 35 waiting for an elevator .trip 36 waiting for an elevator, trip 37, etc.. I notice a sign on the U-Haul itself advertising same day help. I'm like why? Why didn't any of the many workers I had interactions at this point not mention this was literally a U-Haul sponsored thing. So I click the website and in 1hour I had two guys there helping me finish. They followed me back to my house and unloaded the rest and I happily paid them to do so. They were the real MVPs of this process.

"Kudos" or a certificate of appreciation. Lunch something! The second gal who we ran into early when moving stuff is, Phyllis who maintaines the lobby, bathroom, elevator and cleans out the unit when you move out, is wonderful! Another deserving of a " kudos" lunch or something
Carmen J | Expérience généraleIf you advertise you can reserve your storage area, especially at a specific location, you need to honor that and not give it away to someone else. If you worry about someone not showing up or cancelling, put in the reservation that after a certain time period, they will be charged a fee. After driving 20 hours nonstop, it's horrendous to find out you have nowhere to put your property and still have a loaded truck that needs to be emptied. Simple, if a person rents your truck, especially 1 way, they're not as likely to be cancelling their storage.

And there was a tag that on the unit that said it was move in ready so whoever prepared the room did not leave a lock for me and my items are now in a storage unit with no lock.

Now this is not a bad thing for our possession as no one could enter but a small gesture to tell your customers ahead of time through the same monthly e-mail would have made the whole thing seamless and looked at brilliantly.

Advised the clerk and on duty manager that there were at least two open units. Told didn't matter that we had an reservation online and they didn't have any openings. Said it was first come first serve. Told me corporation didn't know what the had available, but the only way you could reserve a unit was by corporate web site. We went to another facility who took our reservation for the larger unit.

The guy that hooked my trailer up was friendly and thoughtful even after Itold him I was upset for waiting 30 minutes while 2 people came after me, and were taken care of first. It was busy and returning uhaul vecles eere beeping at me to m9ve so they could return their truck. So I moved up to let them in, but then I guess no one looked for me when they returned. I walked around 3 times but never saw anyone until 1 person dropped their trailer off and was helped, then another person picked up their trailer while I was still waiting. It was busy & I het it, but I still had to wait over 30 min.

The repair guy was there everyday...when i wanted to down size they would'nt give me the size I wanted. This was right after I had spent at least 3k with uhaul over the last month. I went elsewhere

Get to store to find out that they didn't have a 10x15 that I could take a 10x10 or 2 5x5 closets!!!!! Are you kidding me same happened to the next customer, agent said units were being triple booked, now y'all need to compensate us with something like our next truck or trailer rental free of charge. This changes the pland because we now are 5 ft, and have to make changes. Daniel and the guys hooking up trailers were very nice and polite might I add.

I rented a truck a few days before hurricane Ian to move, and my storage unit originally booked not with Uhaul was damaged so i couldn't move in. Uhaul representatives were so empathetic about me extending the truck reservation until i found another place in fort Myers. We finally looked at the Uhaul storage units which were the best option of all! Alexa helped us with our reservation onsite, where she remained calm and professional during such a stressful situation with customers firing questions to her from all angles. Then Phyllis was manning the storage entry doors to help with directions when new renters pulled up and offered assistance with their belongings. You can tell this specific Uhaul location's associates really care, but Uhaul as a company in general has gained a loyal future customer from my family and I after the compassion they showed all of their clients during hurricane Ian. Thank you!

My home was destroyed by hurricane Ian! I reserved a 10x15 but they didn't have any and I had to get a 10x10 on the 3rd floor,which won't fit all my belongings. The girl at the counter was smoking a vape and very unprofessional. I was told on the phone I did not need insurance but there they told me I had to or they would not rent to me. They said corporate doesn't know anything for they are in Arizona and we are in Florida
