Had issues with getting my unit because of U-Haul protocols. Needed a unit immediately Talk to a representative booked a unit only to find out it was only a reserve.then had to give my credit card information three more times. Stood in front of U-Haul for 4 and 1/2 hours on two phones one phone stayed on holed with the elevator music for an hour,BUT the representative that did answer took every step and stayed on the phone for an hour with me trying to figure something out Didn't get my truck unloaded until 24 hours later which costs more money,more help,more gas ,more time. The truck and storage establishment where excellent.

My only issue is that I had to pay a full month of rent when I only needed eight extra days. I was expecting to have a prorated fee for the additional days like any other rental.

I had no idea where to go when I got there. Getting into the building was confusing. I had no idea until I got there whether I had to go upstairs (spoiler alert I did) which was not ideal. Definitely would have preferred to interface with a person.

The code provided for the key lockbox was incorrect. The representative on-site didn't have a master key and was also unable to unlock the box using a code. I was offered a box truck as a substitute however by the time the transfer to that vehicle was complete, over an hour had passed from my original reservation time. I was required to pay movers for that time to sit in front of my house waiting for a truck. Because I chose to rent with Uhaul, the cost of my move yesterday was significantly higher than budgeted. I'm extremely disappointed with this experience.

Worker who signed me up was unpleasant and seemed like she really didn't want to be there. Also, online it said we were supposed to get a free lock with the storage unit, but the lady said we had to buy it.

This is the worst customer service experience that I've had in quite a while. Uhaul has in my mind been the standard for moving and storage. Just had a big move, rented a truck and got a "free" month of storage. So I took it just in case. Bad idea. They tried to sell me an insurance fee that was "policy" but was not on the agreement for the "free" storage unit. About 10 days after my move I used the email they provided to inquire about canceling because I didn't need it. No one responded. I emailed twice afterward, still no response. Then I called in about a week or so later, talked with someone and asked to cancel. I explained that I had never visited the storage unit and didn't need it which they can confirm both by camera and in their system because I never used the code they provided to let myself in to the unit. She said it would be taken care of that day. Not done, no confirmation email. Then I received an email a day ago stating that I would be charged if I didn't respond by the end of the month. I called and was told that I had "moved in" and someone needed to check me out. Again, never stepped foot on the facility. They said someone was going to verify right then. So I drove here because I didn't trust that. Sure enough, the guy who was supposed to have gone didnt. He was still at the office and had no idea about my situation. That was Ralph the Manager. So I explained again and he said he would drive out to check. He said that if there was a lock, sometimes their employees put one on there if they knew it was rented. Waited here for over an hour. He got back and said there was a lock on it but they hadn't put it on and suggested that it was mine. I again explained that I had never been to the facility. He said they would need to cut the lock. Still waiting another hour. They do have cameras, why would I lie about never having been there? Seems like it shouldn't be that hard. Not happy. My recommendation, never come here. Never buy the "free" line. Boo uhaul. Any guesses as to what will happen next or how long I'll be here? #negativestar Update: another hour down the drain. Still shouldn't be that hard. Final update: confirmation of my "move out" achieved after a few hours. Turns out they gave me a unit that still had someone else's stuff in it. Since I had never been there I had no idea. It was complete with an unopened mailed package with the other persons info on it. Vindication? Perhaps, but I still lose, cause I'll never get that time back. Thank you uhaul.

I knew that i wouldnt make it in time from Pittsburgh Pa to Baltimore Maryland. My brother went and signed the papers for me to be able to get the unit. They worked with me and gave me a first floor unit. Merci.

I would recommend going back to the old way where there was a service desk to help because the process online to check a vehicle in and out in a timely fashion was not efficient.

The check in took a considerable about of time. I think it would help if you advised renters to arrived 15 prior to their scheduled rental time as waiting for the "approval" cut into my scheduled time.
