The people I talked to were pleasant and as helpful as possible. All negativity in this review should be regarded as being directed at U-Haul itself, not this location in particular. The self-check-in/out process was excruciating. The failure to make plain IN ADVANCE that I would need to have my passport with me in order to avoid even weirder paperwork (which one would also need to know in advance) or providing another person's contact info? Insane. The truck had less than a quarter tank of gas in it, and I had to check with an employee to verify that U-Haul's berzerk policies didn't actually go all the way to (as the check-in process suggested) charging me $30 for returning it with less than a quarter tank when that's how I received it. It also had a bad exhaust leak and spent the latter half of the rental sounding like it was about to stall. But it's really the self check in/out process that's so bad. I eventually got checked out, made the move, and on returning got stuck on step two because the app didn't seem to like my photos of the odometer and fuel gauge, despite matching the example, and didn't give me any error message or feedback, just didn't enable the Continue button. An employee was available to do the check-in, though I believe this incurred additional cost? Anything was better than continuing to fight uhaul.com to achieve progress and get on with my day. Overall, though this location was no better or worse than average, I was reminded why I try to avoid U-Haul whenever possible.

Better explain "share rental." But pay full price of it's a shard rental the rental amount should be shared. I reserved my truck and was told I only had 4 hours. I usually go to 122nd and Airport Way they didn't have rentals. I came to Sandy and the only person who was very very helpful was the worker who helped me use the check in on my phone.

The location itself is inconvenient. Small roads made it difficult to drive through and make turns. The location has only one way to get in, and one way to get out. I made the mistake of going the wrong way, and it cost me time trying to maneuver through the tight streets.

On line check in was a disaster, although local staff were super helpful. Avoid this even though you'll have to stand in line. Barely enough gas in vehicle to get to the gas station. Rearview mirrors were not adjustable so didn't feel safe driving. Kind of par for the u-haul course.

The truck had issues with the door and we needed to have roadside assistance come and fix it but the staff is amazing and very helpful with everything. I will be coming back again soon. Other than the truck door issue which they should inspect them every time I give them A+ for customer service and accommodating for the issues.

I turned the 6x12 trailer in a day early but u-haul charged me for the day. I contacted u-haul and was told the "computer" designates the time for the rental and any days it is turned in early is not refundable. I asked the human to override the computer and was told they can't. So I was charged for the day (including taxes) I didn't have the trailer. I was ripped off. Goodby to u-haul. Chumps.

Only thing is that the uhaul rep should have. More interactions with the customers in stead of looking like zombies that just there for the money  The equipment was a bit smelly and had to keep the windows down .. kind of clean but not as clean as I would have expected

My biggest complaint is that the estimated cost I was quoted over the phone before renting was $150 lower than what I had to pay when I picked up the vehicle. Otherwise the AC in the truck couldn't keep up in the heat of the day, when the high was about 82 degrees. And the staff didn't seem to care much about the customer experience. No warmth, no care.

Honestly this was a terrible rental experience and you have even worse customer support. I am still waiting on a reply for my $50 you offer when your rental is not ready when you arrive. The person who checked me in (red headed guy with a mullet) was extremely confusing and difficult. He demanded that I give him 2 phone numbers of emergency contacts, then proceeded to call them right then and there and threatened to not rent me the truck if they didn't answer their phones immediately. He doubted that one of my contacts was real because of her non-traditional name, and then demanded a third contact. If I had known I needed someone to answer their phone to verify my identity (why my drivers' license and credit card weren't sufficient for that is beyond me) at the time of check in, I would have made sure to have someone available for that, but it was completely sprung on me. I have rented from many other Uhaul locations in the past and have never had to do this. Fortunately one of my contacts did pick up the phone, but I will happily go out of my way to rent from a different location in the future.

Unfortunately, gas caps are often lost when gas tanks are raided by others. It would be better if spare caps were aquired and perhaps lite chained to the truck.

The check in pick up took longer than expected because the online portal didn't work without location turned on and the bar code backup by the door also didn't work. Might be worth a text before hand letting people know they should rue on their location settings before hand so they're not fumbling with it at pick up and then having to wait for a person to help. Not a big deal but would have saved 20 minutes.

The truck was is poor shape. No airflow, which on a 90ºF day, was pretty awful. The truck also had a very rough accelerator, to where I had to jerk forward on every start, and couldn't ease on to the accelerator.

Dropped off at 10 PM. Scanned the barcode as the website says to do. It said I was good to go and put the keys in the drop box. We did so. In the morning noticed that I never got a receipt and the website still had the link to return the truck. I called U-Haul and they said I returned it to the wrong location which is not true. The address matched and the barcode was accepted. There really needs to be a better process for this contactless method.

The available storage possesses hazardous access and unstable equipment to load personal items. I would not recommend this type of storage if seen in person. Pricing is high, particularly in relation to the type of building and storage provided. Overall, the staff was quite friendly, but the building, storage, and parking is subpar.

The best thing about this location is its manager, David. He is available at nearly all hours of the day which made my experience much better, and I thank him for that. However, everything else (mostly related to U-Haul at the corporate level) was unprofessional and disorganized. I was told (by a very kind and helpful customer service rep) that I could move into this location after-hours. I spent hours trying to get in, and ultimately ended up having to wait until morning to move in, which caused me to miss a flight and take on the expense. I learned later that move in after 10pm is not possible, which I was assured would not be an issue over the phone previously. Upon move-out, I had scheduled a truck at this location for 8/1, but when I could not find the reservation in my app I called the location. The clerk told me that the reservation was for 7/31 for a "Frank" (my name is Jack) and therefore was cancelled for no-show. I was looking at the confirmation message for 8/1 at noon, which I told the clerk, who responded, "the reservation was for 7/31 and it is cancelled. I don't know what you want me to do about this". Instead of fixing the problem he suggested I figure it out on my own. I ended up getting lucky and finding equipment at another location. I have very little trust with U-Haul now. I know that my money is not safe with U-Haul and I anticipate losing money and time when working with this company. The employees are not equipped to properly solve customer issues. I will not be a returning customer because I think it's bad business to make multiple errors (similar problems have occured the last two times I have used U-Haul in Seattle and Chicago) and tell the customer to figure out what the company did wrong and to fix it themselves on their own hour and dime.

My items were stolen from my container. They lost my key when they changed my lock and I paid rent on a unit were I was unaware my things were missing. The phone representative was rude and argumentative and now years of memories are gone. Thank God the washer and dryer were to big to take.

Staff and facility are great. What was appallingly bad was my experience with your website. I made a reservation online and received email confirmation, but your staff could find nothing about me on the store computers. My account had vanished. Total waste of time and very stressful. I also ended up with a storage unit much more expensive than what I had reserved. I cannot recommend UHaul to anyone because of this.

It was nice having a keycard to access whenever needed and not having to deal with staff during Covid. The facility was temperature and humidity controlled as advertised. The storage unit was secure and easily accessible. Whenever I had to talk to staff, which was only during move in and move out, they were kind and helpful. Only complaint I had is one of my boxes had mouse poop on it when I moved out. I know it isn't easy to control, but that was kinda gross. At least none of them died in there.

This unit was not usable. We rented it without seeing it due to an emergency situation and arrived to see a unit that was a "stack unit" that I do not feel was adequately described on the website. We had to cancel our rental that same day and rent a unit at a different storage facility. Everyone at U-Haul was nice, though.

I could not be happier with my experience at this UHAUL location. Everything explained clearly and they were quite patient with me as I was very tired after arriving from out of state and moving in 90+ degree weather. I was disappointed when my reservation was for a unit that required going up stairs. Zachary was able to seamlessly check the inventory and change my storage space to the ground level. My phone was not working and I could not call a car service after my move and Zachary offered calling a cab. A great customer service experience all around!
