Turned truck in 6pm Sunday. Parked it, turned keys into drop box. Tuesday 3pm i get a call asking why i still had uhaul. Scared the crap out of me. Obviously they dont check them back in or if they do they do not communicate. Had me scared to death that i was going to be responsible for stolen uhaul.Brandi W.

The truck I picked up had almost no fuel because it had been siphoned overnight. When I went to fill it up, the gas station attendant informed me that the hose had a hole in it, so the fuel was not getting to the tank. I had to return to U-Haul to get a new truck. I was told a 7 $credit would be applied for the fuel I purchased that poured out on the ground. That credit was never applied. The second truck I picked up had also been siphoned and was out of fuel. I put a few gallons in the tank. I was also not credit for returning the second truck with more fuel than it had when I received it, although I was told I would be.Courtney S.

There were multiple â€œsmearsâ€?.. of very sticky things. The center of an orange,(the pith core) was in the drivers side handle. The customer service rep was very short and rude, renting/returning. I only use uhaul, because I used to work within the company and know the ins and outs. There's no way that this van was sanitized before I rented it, I can't believe how low the rules and regulations out of Phoenix has faded and spot checks lacking. I get that it's a global pandemic, but in this industry, it should be tiptop. Not cool, not cool. Also, you're welcome for the extra gallon of gas and cleaning it better than when I received it. No one at service counter and I spent over five minutes trying to find someone to help me pick up my rental despite there were no other customers. At my return, same problem. Also, I then asked if they needed to give me a receipt or sign anything acknowledging the return. I was told â€œnoâ€. Five hours later, they called me to ask where was the trailer was that â€œoverdueâ€. Really sloppy customer service!!Joseph G.

David was awesome! Christopher, was a little rude. He did get me a smaller van after I saw the one I reserved was too large, but he was annoyed, and negative about it. Also, when I asked if I could add a dolly, he told me no. No reason why, just a rude, "no". I expected more from a moving company that claims to meet all your moving needs. The gas reading was incorrect and I was charged for 4 gallons of gas for 15 miles of use, even after putting 3 gallons in before return. So that aspect needs improvement. The man working the desk was great, well informed and helpful.Bryan W.

I am a newcomer to U Haul and didn't know the ropes. People weren't rude but they weren't particularly friendly (except for one person on returning my vehicle). They talked too fast, didn't explain things well and seemed to think I knew the routine and expectations when I didn't. The equipment was generally okay, but the guy working really made it worth while ( Michael Davis I believe). He was obviously overworked- there was a huge line going out the door and he was the only one working. Overall though he was awesome and is the only reason I still have some faith in U-Haul. If he wasn't working I would definitely not recommend this location, or even U-Haul. To note, Uhaul was supposed to install a trailer hitch for me on Monday. I drove 45 minutes to the only dealership that had availability a week before to discover they didn't have a part- which they knew and didn't contact me about. They rescheduled my appointment without telling me and I still have not received email confirmation of when that is. Totally unacceptable. When I try to call about it I am always directed to a wait time of over 20 minutes. Your company runs a seriously messy business model.DRAKE C.
Almost could not rent a uhaul because I did not own a smart phone. Internet at location was down so checking the truck back in almost became impossible, and no one at the location helped much to ensure my check in wias taken care of so I wouldnt be charged extra time. When I return the trailer the employee meet me at my Vehicle and informed me that I need not get out to return the tow dolly that he would unhook it and email me a receipt within 15 minutes ! The next day I called to find out what happened to my return receipt and my call was directed to the corporate call center and I was told that the rental item had not been returned and was overdue after explaining that I had returned the trailer the night before the representative said that they would check with the return location to follow up an then they would get back to me. I never heard back and later that day I received multiple emails stating that the rental was not returned and the location and recovery of the rental was in progress ! Again I call the return location explain what time I return the trailer and I was told that it had not been returned and that it possibly was stolen ! Again I was told that that they would get back to me with an update ! Approximately 1 hour later a email was sent wit the final return receipt! Again it was very frustrating ðŸ˜¤Peter P.

Employee (first name Ronaldo) was very rude from the moment we arrived. We'd already been rerouted to a new location due to a flat tire on the trailer we'd reserved, and because we were late Ronaldo had decided to cancel our reservation. He said he'd called twice, but I didn't receive the calls as my phone blocks unknown numbers. I didn't receive an email or a text notification. He then offered no assistance, just yelled "It's cancelled!" as another employee tried to assist us. He also expressed disappointment at the employee helping us when he gave us a new reservation, and disappeared for the rest of our visit. The employee that did assist us in spite of Ronaldo's protests, was Michael Davis. Michael was exceptionally kind and helpful, and really managed to de-escalate the situation. He couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He's the only reason I rate my visit one star above poor. Though Michael was extremely helpful and I'd be happy to work with him again...If I never see Ronaldo again it will be too soon. I'll never do business at this Uhaul location again and will only recommend other locations to friends and family.Timothy S.

We rented a van for 6 hours. We were given a van that the milage was over 4 thousand miles less than what it said. We let the person know before leaving and was told to take a picture. When we came back we took the ending milage for proof. We also went in and told them we are concerned about being overcharged. They said it would be ok and we wouldn't be overcharged. I visited this store a total of 4 times in all. 2 times to get boxes and tape and to reserve the uhaul itself. I came back 2 more times, 1 time for more boxes and the last to pick up use and return the uhal. Not at any time, during any point did any staff inform me I could not park my car on their property. 1st, I'm disabled. I use a legal handicap pass. It's displayed inside my car. Very visible. I picked up the uhal Sat 1-30, 7 am. I parked in their only handicap spot on the site. It is near where they inspect the trucks, I don't know why they chose this spot. But I rented the uhal and left. Leaving my vehicle parked in the handicap spot. 1 hour later, I got a call stating clients can't park inside their lot and I need to come move my car or it will be towed. Not at any point during my rental transaction, at any point, did they mention this. It was legally parked. In a handicapped spot. I stopped my move and had someone drive me back to get the car and I brought it home. 40 mins put out of my move. I will never rent and or use their services. No one at any point told me it would be contactless until I dropped the truck off where the man was aggressive and yelled at me to pull up and get out of the vehicle leave the keys in truck. This was not explained to me that this would take place either. They handed me the keys in the am and never mentioned this. Again, I would not recommend this location for service again.ANGELA P.

Yesterday while waiting in line to pick up a truck, a difficult situation was presented. A customer ahead of me in line was not wearing a mask. I asked a Uhaul associate to ask the customer to put on a mask. He quickly reminded the customer to put on a mask and offered him one. The customer became agitated, angry and defensive. David, the manager and his associate diffused the situation and acted professional and friendly. They set a good example of how to deal with difficult people.Elizabeth K.

I moved a few months ago and rented a large truck from a different location. It was not a great experience. The people that worked there were pretty rude - they even called me a few hours into my move to ask if I could bring the truck back early so they could go home!!! Anyways I was dreading another uhaul experience but I needed a large van for a few hours. The staff at the Sandy location were so nice and friendly! Shoutout to Michael Davis. Also the van was BAYOND clean and it drove really well. I almost didn't want to give it back. This unit was not usable. We rented it without seeing it due to an emergency situation and arrived to see a unit that was a "stack unit" that I do not feel was adequately described on the website. I could not be happier with my experience at this UHAUL location. Everything explained clearly and they were quite patient with me as I was very tired after arriving from out of state and moving in 90+ degree weather. I was disappointed when my reservation was for a unit that required going up stairs. Zachary was able to seamlessly check the inventory and change my storage space to the ground level.
