the battery went dead on our truck.. I had to beg a jump start from a passerby as we called the branch who directed us to roadside assist. We couldn't get thru on the roadside assist number so we called back to the rental branch only to have an employee say it wasn't his problem.. Very POOR customer service.. Better parking direction for people who are not familiar with that area. That location is right downtown St. Louis, very limited parking and took us a while to find a place to park our car before we get to the UHaul office. Also, I made the reservation by phone and was told to pickup in Freeburg IL and later was called and told there is no truck there and I had to drive my wife and three kids 30 miles away to St Louis to pick up a truck, that's just a waste of my time and inconvenience my family and I have to pay for more gas for that truck! At the very least, if you make customer do this, give us a 20% credit or something to compensate time loss, gas cost, and inconvenience.

I would have given a 5-star rating, or even 4 stars, had it not been for the lack of communication. I have been in logistics for over 13 years so I have every bit of understanding and a lot of patience. Originally, I set up my Ubox delivery (from the St Louis location) for Friday, Aug 9th. Not once did I ever receive a scheduling phone call from this location. It wasn't until I received a generic, system generated email with a later delivery date did I call the Uhaul 800 number. It was then i found out I couldnt get a delivery until Tuesday, Aug 13th. I accepted that date. On Sunday, Aug 11th I still had not received a scheduling phone call from the St Louis location amd I could not get ahold of anyone locally because their phone number sends you straight to the national call center. So I went to the location for an in person answer. It was then I found out I was scheduled for 1230 on August 13th. Again, normally I am very patient and understanding. However, I started a brand new job in a brand new (to me) city the day before delivery. I did not have accrued time to spend waiting. Aug 13th came. I still had not received one piece of communication from the delivering store confirming anything about my delivery. Midmorning I received a text message from the driver. She confirmed she would be there "in the afternoon". I left work at noon, hoping I would have my 1230 delivery and could get back to work. At 1pm the driver confirmed she was loading my pods and would arrive in 30 minutes. At 3:30 I was still waiting at home with no communication or delivery. I checked to ensure they had not gotten in an accident. I was then told they would be arriving in 30 minutes. Well, at 4:30pm I finally received my Ubox delivery. The staff at the location were extremely helpful. The driver and her assistant were extremely friendly. However, I had to continually guess when my stuff would arrive. Also, no one from the St Louis location asked for my permission to charge my debit card $64 for the delivery. Why did I pay $64 when I received my possessions 4 days after the originally scheduled date AND after losing 4 hours of work time at a brand new job? I paid a premium price for this Ubox experience, overall it could be worth it if that critical communication piece was in place. I rated a 2 star because I know this will fall below service thresholds and will likely be sent to the site manager. I am hoping this will prompt some communications process improvements for future customers. It shouldnt matter at the customer level that this is peak time for moving season. Being reasonably staffed and equipped will go a long way to ensure the price point is worth while to your customers.

My credit card was compromised right after I used it here. I had not used it for a while before this. I had to change my credit card number in all my automatic payments and get a new card. Not to mention someone almost charging thousands of dollars on my account. I won't go back here.

You really need to have a separate type of account for customers that rent frequently. During the mowing period approximately April to November I rent a trailer every other week. I should be able to log in and have to hit no more than 3 keys to male my reservation. Since I get the same thing bi-weekly I don't need the sales pitch and most frequent users don't as well. For frequent users & commercial customers there needs to be a separate site. Hopefully not as bad as what the centers have to use. I have had to wait too many times for the computers to finally work so I could either check in or out. Frankly I would fire whoever is running your IT department or the company that you are contracting with. From what I have seen your IT seems to have been done on the cheap and it shows with the constant glitches, downtimes, and inabilities to conduct business without having to wait for the system to figure out what to do. I have been a customer for over 10 years and this problem for some reason has never been adequately addressed.

Building and address not marked clearly for drop off directions. We drove back around block and finally went in a back alley, where several vehicles were parked, no personnel around to see where to park Uhaul. Then was charged for the extra milage - caused by driving around trying to locate drop off site.

Please Humanize the CLOCK. I am being subject to an extra day charge for returning a truck on time, but because of the slow check-in the CLOCK is trying to rob the customer. The CLOCK has no sympathy for real-time.

The location is fine. The only problem is that there's no thing to put in front of tires to prevent the trailer from rolling down. We had to walk around and find bricks and boards to put it in front of the tire. This could be a problem if we did not find it. the office was closed when we drop it off so there's no personnel available to assist us. But signing out on the app was pretty friendly and easy to use. I am happy that I don't have to deal any further complications as I am already very frustrating from this morning dealing with U-Haul to pick the trailer up. So, I am happy that dropping off is much easier. It would be more easier if there's clear place where I can leave the trailer and the tire block should be available when dropping it off.
