Overall everything was very good. The only issues we had were that there was nearly 1" deep standing water in front of our unit, #141. It just wasn't level for drainage. The other issue was the expense. Paying nearly $180 p/mo.for the 8X10X20 storage unit was pretty steep. I looked around and found another storage place with a unit that was taller, wider and deeper about 5 miles away for only $130 p/mo with the third month free. It is well worth moving out.
Online rental was quick and easy (similar to other services Uhaul provides), however storage access times are misrepresented. See screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/s4wayiH . "Storage Access" is stated to be from 5AM - 10PM with the option of 24hrs access as an additionally sold amenity. Unfortunately, this is not how the location handles it's accessible hours, instead you must use dual locks on your unit and request a key from the front office upon each visit, to unlock a secondary lock that the location owns. This must be done within business hours (7am - 7pm) and requires the physical surrendering (this is written during statewide quarantine) of a Uhaul accepted identification card, significantly reducing the usability of the storage. After 30 days, this inconvenience can be remedied by a fee increase of $120/yr for 24hr access. While stated otherwise on the rental webpage, there are not any actual access hours allowed between 5am - 7am or 7pm - 10pm unless special arrangements have been made with the front office per exception. This was not explained in any form upon move in. In fact, required front-desk sign in or supervised unit access is mentioned as a punishment for customer disturbances within the rental agreement and contains no reference to actual office hour requirements. Additionally, the confirmation email itself states that access hours are 5am-10pm Mon-Sun without any mention of a required check in. At this point I am curious what other red flags or fees will come about during this process that were left unexplained at the move in time or inaccurately represented on their website. I am understanding of the rules, that the location is allowed to set rules to maintain order on this premises, that the management is working hard to keep units secure for everybody and why this policy would be in place in absence of a gate. But with the combination of the false access times represented online & in the confirmation email, no mention of the specific access hours within the rental agreement itself and increased rent to use the access time already thought to be paid for - I feel that future buyers should be aware of this up front and take the omitted details into strong consideration when evaluating this location’s service.

If the store employees are too busy to answer the phone it goes to customer service. Totally fine, but then customer service need to be able to assist just like a store employee.
This is a poorly managed facility. The staff appears to be under constant stress and frustration. Maybe there isn't enough employee's to handle the load. I also was charged an astronomical amount for being late one day on my storage unit, I was charged for more gas on the truck that I had rented, which was clearly not needed and then when I closed my account a week earlier was told there was no prorate. I will have to deal with another company in Corvallis now.
Stephanie Owens was the person I dealt with every visit and she was always pleasant, helpful and courteous. Her customer service skills are top notch.

A U-Haul branded lock mysteriously ended up on the U-Box I had shipped from West Virginia. Employee was discourteous, and $69 was added to my credit card for "STORAGE" and "BASIC INCOME".
I never saw the storage place but i am very content with the phone service personnel and the women who delivered and picked up the storage box. everyone is so prompt and smiley and nice!

Both the counter guy and the technician outside were friendly, courteous and competent. We had 2 Uhaul moving pods delivered here and they arrived on time and not damaged. Great service!
I was pleased overall
Shipped my furniture with ubox, made sure everything was secured. When I opened the box at the receiving location, I found my antique desk smashed. U-haul refuses to fix it. Lost a customer for life.

My experience at the Corvallis store was wonderful. I would never recommend UHAUL to anyone. As a company, UHAUL has too many communication errors between offices & between people of the same office.

Transportation costs quoted were from a third party provider and inaccurate and incomplete. Damage from rats and mice from chewing and waste to personal items is extensive. No disputes, just subpar.
With all the stress of our move, we are very grateful to the store staff at this location for their help and kindness and understanding. Great people like them can make a place shine - and they do!
