We rented a 6 x 12 trailer to move 650 miles away. The original trailer was going to be released with a bald tire. My husband inspected the trailer and realized this. The associate then secured another trailer. If my husband did not see the tire, we could have been stuck on the road. Inspection needs to be done better.Becky G.

wait time for pick up was worse than going to DMV, due to short staffing--only one person at front desk and they had to also double as outside staff for each customer in line. I called the store with an issue getting the vehicle to start once I got it home. I spoke to someone named Frank I believe. He asked a couple of questions to see what the issue might be, then asked me to hold a moment. Apparently he transferred me to the roadside assistance number but didn't tell me that. I waited on hold over 10 minutes before realizing it would be much faster to report the issue online. He could've saved me a good 15 minutes if he'd just taken a moment to explain that, but he didn't. Instead he sounded annoyed and rushed, and that was offputting. I had just picked up a vehicle from them not 15 minutes prior. If anyone should be admitted and rushed, it would've been me. I was able to ferry help right away via text from a very pleasant and considerate person who helped me troubleshoot to solve the issue within minutes. Frank left a bad taste in my mouth.Brandy J.

Your national reservation line suggested my car was not adequate to pull the trailer I rented, when in fact it was. This made me doubt I would be able to obtain the trailer I needed, and I had to make extra phone calls. You should change the specifications available to your national service to more accurately reflect the reality on the ground.dave S.

Whatever cleaner is used in the trucks creates an incredibly slick and slippery surface on the seats, floors, and steering wheel. I almost fell out of the truck twice while trying to climb in. Also, charging 1,09 $ per mile is ridiculous. A total racket when you advertise such low rental ratesSarah A.

The person at the desk was very monotoned in demeanor and not very upbeat for it being 10:30am in the morning. Also, I was given a truck with sunflower seeds( like a full bag just dumped out) behind the seats that I had to clean up before I dropped it off. Cup holders were also gross. Need to do a better job of making sure the interior is cleaned out. Would only recommend because they are the closest in the area.William O.

The trailer lights were broke so they were going to fix them. When done they plugged in to my vehicle and it shorted the blinkers out. I said forget it cuz I'd been there 40 min already. I was told the charges would be reversed and they still haven't been. So I was charged for a trailer I Diddnt even get to use and on my day off had the pleasure to fix my blinkersShane A.

I was frustrated with the woman who checked me in - I was not told where my truck rental was located or how to identify the truck with the key. Truck was difficult to get into since it was packed in so tight with other trucks. I have rented there before several times and it was perfect - the attendant pulled out the truck for me or had the truck ready and easily available for me to get into.CHRISTINA W.
There should be a separate line for customers that have reserved in advance and scheduled a pick up time. It was very busy when I showed up at my scheduled pickup time. None of the customers ahead of me had reservations but were in line first. I had to wait over an hour past my appt time in this line. The staff was awesome and very helpful. Rental process went well. Good customer service. On return, the unmasked young woman came to inspect the truck and announced that my bill was over 5 300 $for a one day local 10' rental because I "returned it to the wrong location." Since it's the same location, we got the manager who found she had logged in to distant location. He straightened it out and was great and friendly. She needs training.ELIZABETH S.

Truck was mostly clean, but large smudges across windshield that looked like possible scratches. Notified owner, and he ran out to clean immediately (were smudges). Pick up and drop off were otherwise good/effortless. The phone pick up did not work for us, but shop was open by then, and check out quick in person. Will only use in-person pickup in future. Once I am on the road, I could not return and do that. It is important that the truck is checked for its safety and functions. I felt like breaking my bones all time going through simplest of the rough patch on the road. It was dragging to the right side all the time. I was told to fill the van to full with gas, but noticed as I was leaving it /only had 7/8 of a tank. When I returned it (after calling to say I would not be filling it to full) I was told they gave me the wrong truck. Overall experience was good, though overpriced, but this detail caused me some concern.James H.

You did awesome! Maybe the only thing is to figure out a better way to park when doing the self check out process after hours. Many had done the same and I felt there was not safe to leave the van parked as advised; this because it would have been left behind another bid truck. The staff were friendly and efficient. Even when I had to go back to the office regarding a question they were attentive and helpful. I had paid for the unit and moved in, but was still treated very well. They are true "service" people as opposed to being just "sales" people. My U-Haul experience was great. The employees are super helpful and friendly. The facility was exactly what I needed. My only problem was the difficulty getting through on the phone. Sometimes I just drove to U-Haul instead of waiting on hold. That was my only issue. Everything else was great.Alison C. | Expérience générale
The only reason I did not go with an excellent is I had trying calling the facility twice on Tuesday of this week, and no one answered, and there was not a voice messaging option. Instead my calls were auto-routed to UHaul Customer service which is a nightmare during the day - with hold times to get through to a person of 30 min plus. Yet when I called other UHauls in the area on Tuesday, I could at least leave a message and someone got back to me. Being from out of town I initially assumed on Tuesday that maybe it was an unmanned facility, as us the customers seem to have to keep doing more and more of the administrative work when buying something, renting something etc. and that is a big bummer.Robert H. | Premières impressions
Online rental was quick and easy (similar to other services Uhaul provides), however storage access times are misrepresented. See screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/s4wayiH . "Storage Access" is stated to be from 5AM - 10PM with the option of 24hrs access as an additionally sold amenity. Unfortunately, this is not how the location handles it's accessible hours, instead you must use dual locks on your unit and request a key from the front office upon each visit, to unlock a secondary lock that the location owns. This must be done within business hours (7am - 7pm) and requires the physical surrendering (this is written during statewide quarantine) of a Uhaul accepted identification card, significantly reducing the usability of the storage. After 30 days, this inconvenience can be remedied by a fee increase of 120 $/yr for 24hr access. While stated otherwise on the rental webpage, there are not any actual access hours allowed between 5am - 7am or 7pm - 10pm unless special arrangements have been made with the front office per exception. This was not explained in any form upon move in. In fact, required front-desk sign in or supervised unit access is mentioned as a punishment for customer disturbances within the rental agreement and contains no reference to actual office hour requirements. Additionally, the confirmation email itself states that access hours are 5am-10pm Mon-Sun without any mention of a required check in. At this point I am curious what other red flags or fees will come about during this process that were left unexplained at the move in time or inaccurately represented on their website. I am understanding of the rules, that the location is allowed to set rules to maintain order on this premises, that the management is working hard to keep units secure for everybody and why this policy would be in place in absence of a gate. But with the combination of the false access times represented online & in the confirmation email, no mention of the specific access hours within the rental agreement itself and increased rent to use the access time already thought to be paid for - I feel that future buyers should be aware of this up front and take the omitted details into strong consideration when evaluating this location's service.Kyle S. | Online Move In
