Storage was dusty no seals on metal ,dirt and dust , bugs. That wasn't bad enough then they raised my rent twice in 4 months. Did not refund my deposit. Shame on you folks, I will tell all my friends how you treat people. I guess you guys don't care about loyal people. Paying over a hundred dollars a month for your dirty dust catcher. (NICE). Robert

Kenneth R | Premières impressionsBefore U-Haul bought the facility,the original company had a person who worked at the office.I was lead to believe no one works at the office now and you have to go some other place to talk to a person.I found the process of ending the rental agreement to be highly inconvenient and the staff member I did encounter to be rude,lazy, and incompetent.Like most other things,a large corporation takes over and it all goes downhill from there.
CURTIS M | Expérience généraleYour company bought this storage property from another company, and the prior company had a key holder cabinet where they kept an extra copy of my unit lock key, in case I ever lost mine (which had happened before)....so that I would always have a key there on location if needed. However, I rec'd a call here (I live in Houston, TX, far away from Hobbs, NM) from on eof your agents on site informing me that I had left my lock on the unit closed door, but that the lock was not actually closed and locked. When I told your agent to simply use the key that I had left there to lock the unit up - she informed me that they did not have my key! I stated that it was there on site in a key cabinet held for renters. But she them stated that they, as a policy, did NOT keep keys for unit locks there. So then I asked what happened to the keys that were there? She stated she didn't know... That is some poor service and negligent mgmt by your company! I am not happy at all about this matter.
FOSTER H | Premières impressionsAfter a long day of driving we get to facility and get all the paperwork done and get a map. The girl at the desk is in the phone with corporate so we don't get 100 % of her attention. She gives a map and off we go. We walk around the facility try to find the unit. After about 15 mins we go back inside and say we can't find the unit. "Oh it's at our other faculty down the street. Just go past the light." Horrible directions and I'm frustrated by now. So we hope in the truck and trailer and drive down the street. The last place before the end of town is a storage facility that nowhere does it say "U-Haul" it's called something else! We pull in and try. Our gate code won't work because it was written down wrong. I finally play around with it enough to get it to work because nobody will answer the phone. Finally get in and find the unit and then the door to get in is broken. My husband working with it long enough he finally got it to open. We were told we were renting a climate controlled unit but I don't think there is any hvac in the facility as I saw no vents. Once we find out unit and open it it is a 10x20, plenty big but there is no light in the unit. You need a flashlight to see in it. Nobody mentioned this at the front desk. So we tripped and fell over boxes the whole time we were unloading. After a long hot day of driving and moving it was just a really crummy experience.

Since UHaul took it over, they have raised the monthly rate two different time in the last 6 months. This is the main reason I chosen to go to another storage company after 5 years.
