We rented moving blankets. While packing the truck after opening and using several blankets it became apparent the unopened bag had become soaked with water and the contents had mildewed. Some of our load was exposed to this mildew. I unwrapped my furniture and couldn't use the blankets. The facility refunded the rental for them to their credit but mildew was exposed to my load. Make sure all pads/blankets are kept dry would improve Uhaul credibility and service for others.James V.

I was NOT completely informed about the 1,95 $ per mile from Lowe's in Spokane Valley to my home northwest from Colville! 60,00 $ for refuel, 19,95 $ for the 24 hours & 393,93 $ for the mileage!!! Just to be able to have at my home for the December professional repair appointments: plaster boards, 4 2x4s, etc. that would not fit in my jeep. The mileage pay was not said to me when I picked up the truck on Sunday!!!TERESA LOUISE F.
We scheduled our drop off and got email comfirmation. When we were called to confirm delivery and schedule a time, it was an hour and twelve minutes before the deadline and no mention was made in the message left that our delivery would be cancelled if we did not confirm by 5 pm the day prior to delivery. Also this call was made 2 days prior to our delivery but when we called the next day to confirm we were informed that our delivery was cancelled as it had been rescheduled without informing us. We were able to have our delivery rescheduled for the day after the original day however it required a lot of negotiation and calls back and forth. The communication regarding our boxes was non-existent and when called the store personal could have been more helpful. Many did not know what was happening, and the ones that did were not able to provide clarification without long holds and discussions with their supervisors.CODEYMICHAEL N.

Rented a "motorcycle trailer" to get my bike down to state inspection. You advertise the trailer as having a ramp so you can just ride your bike right into the trailer. What you don't say is that the utility trailers you have are much better for motorcycles because they have a sufficiently long ramp. So if you rent a motorcycle trailer, plan on replacing your brand new 400 $exhaust out of your own pocket when it gets gouged and dented. I obviously wasn't the first one with this problem either because there are scrapes all along the edge of the trailer. Customer service: terrible. I explained what happened to the guy when I dropped the trailer off, and he was just like "well that sucks, let me just charge you for the rental." So not only do I now have to spend another 400 $to replace my brand new exhaust, this guy has zero empathy for me and doesn't offer to help at all. I guess the "insurance for personal property damage" only covers their property. Won't waste money on the coverage again. I would have been better off pulling the bike into the bed of my truck. Total waste of time and money. Problems with the trailer: Ramp is way too short to safely load your motorcycle. This is evidenced by the multiple scrapes and dents along the edge of the trailer. License plate was held on by a single and very loose bolt, ready to fall off. Tightened it for you to avoid a ticket.Zach M.

I am not a new customer. I simply updated my charge account information and received this notice. This being stated, I would like to question why I got a Delinquent Fee notice for 24,99 $ on 11/14/2021 at 10:53 AM and then a payment reminder on the same day, 11/14/2021 at 12:49 AM; less than two hours later? After calling and waiting for what seemed a half hour, I was connected to what I assume was a call center because the phone number for my local U-Haul Storage dealer in Spokane Valley, Washington (Unit #1096) seems to be a main number and not specifically tied to my local one. I was told by the first lady I spoke to, that my Visa Card expired in October of 2019 and that was why I received the delinquent fee notice, whereupon I stated that I would like to dispute the late payment penalty. I was then transferred without notice of to whom or to what department I was transferred to and spoke with a gentleman with whom I updated my bankcard information. He told me there was nothing he could do because it was my responsibility to update my charge card information. Up until this November payment, my account has been debited every month since November of 2019 and I have received texts including autopayment notices and a rate increase but no notice that my card had expired two years earlier. I used to receive rent reminders on the first of every month up until November of 2018, when I received autopayment notices only. It is a bit disconcerting when I am given no notice that my scheduled payment has not been received and then given less than two hours to remedy the situation. Should whomever reads this have an inclination to do so, I would appreciate this text being forwarded to your Customer Relations department. Several issues at this location: When I tried to call with a question - could not get the staff on the phone, ever. When we mentioned that, they chuckled. And didn't provide any explanation. The staff was nice, the truck was old, had a huge scratch on the driver's side when we picked it up that wasn't documented. We did note it with the staff and they did X it. The U haul way of scheduling is not user friendly. You can't call the actual rental location. There is just one big scheduling call center, yet you can't schedule a one way guaranteed truck & i tried to pay before my pickup date (tried on Thursday for my Saturday move) & was told I couldn't pre-pay or I'd have to pay for 2 extra days before Saturday. I didn't need or want the truck except on Saturday. That makes no sense and it was an hour & a half drive for me for nothing. I had to turn around and drive there again Saturday morning. Another person was moving me and driving, so why couldn't I pay 2 days ahead & spend that 1 1/2 hours drive time packing till the truck got to my house? The driver was noted with all necessary ID when I reserved the truck weeks ahead of my move date. U-haul doesn't make it easy. The driver & movers are now working with Penske because of U-haul difficulties.NICHOLAS LAWRENC C.

Was not the location on the contract. St Marie's Idaho is what I agreed to for location if drop. I would have never agreed to a drop location 1,5 hour away. Secondly falsely say St Marie's Idaho on a written contract have your team member threaten me me with a double charge because I was not in agreement with the location that was not on my written contract of St Marie's Idaho. I should be reimbursed for my 3 hour round trip that I was not in the written contract of St Marie's Idaho. Your team member informed me it had to go there since it was being rented! Sorry but that is not my responsibility to get the trailer to those renters! Your team member represents your Company! That tells me you all pull this stuff other also! Not a good business practice! Horrible customer service plan. I should have to go through any scheduling persons! I should be able to pick my own location to pick up and drop off! I don't think I would ever recommend your company again. For the time, money, effort and hassle I could have bought a great used trailer and never had to deal with this. Hope you fix your problems with how you deal in breaking written contacts! Stop hiding location drops in emails after one pays for your service. I would never agreed as I have already stated. I should report you to both Idaho and Washington state's attorney generals for the type of hidden business practices you practices.Perry D.
The van was very dirty inside. There was a thick layer of dust on everything and the inside of the windshield had glue from a dealer sticker stuck to the inside. I'm sure someone was supposed to get rid of this sticker, but that never happened. Yes, the van served it's purpose, but U-haul in NO WAY went above or beyond.Ryan M.

I thought I had already been â€œapprovedâ€ for the uhaul, and then I ended up sitting in the car of the person who took time out of their day and had somewhere to be for an additional 10 mins while I got â€œapprovedâ€ for the truck I had already booked. If I hadn't been I would've had to have that person drive me back home or gotten an uber which is ridiculously inconvenient when this could be done before you show up at the facility. Could've been a really wack situation. Also, i returned it at the gas level it was at when I picked it up, but the associate told me it was supposed to be full? So I ended up paying a 27 $fee when I did what the checkout process asked me to do.Cheyenne R.

Even though I only had to return the truck with 1/8 tank of fuel it had between and 1/8 and 1/4 and I was refunded about 20 $for leaving with more fuel than I purchased...this was a pleasant surprise and appreciated, but I wish the truck had at least a 1/2 tank of fuel when I picked it up.MICHAEL T.

Attempted numerous times to call the U-Haul number to change drop off location. Was hung up on, put on hold for over 30 minutes after using the call back attempt. Had to drive to numerous parts of town to drop off vehicle. As much as I use U-haul this shouldn't happen.Jonathan D.

The uhaul was dirty. I took out two dustpan of dirt and Garbage. The guy didn't even pull the uhaul up for me just said it's the one on the left. I had to remove the rent me sign. He never even told me that I was supposed to do some link to go over the condition of the uhaul. I have rented several trucks before between me and family members and this has been the worst experience I have ever hadSavannah B.

Not enough help in office, when we brought truck back to pay cash the line was way too long and customers were not happy, instead we paid with credit card drop off. Wanted to pay cash but wait was too long because Short of help there. You need more employees!!mary H.
The truck had a random, significant shimmy at higher speeds while on and off the freeway. My U-Haul experience was frustrating, the off site manager(s) that called me 20 minutes AFTER my reserved time to let me know the truck reserved for me isn't available at this location and a different person called 2x during my rental time, didn't seem to care about or have any customer service skills. The person at the location did his job well, he appeared to have some problem solving skills and he cared about customer service. I won't use U-Haul again and I don't recommend using them.LEANN A.

The crew/team at the location that provided the rental over charged me as i had rented the very same equipment the day before and paid more than 20 more the next day. When I complained and asked to talk to the manager, he to was rude and ganged up on me and told me to shut up or go somewhere else. There was no customer appreciation and all three nen that worked there were complete bullies. They never tried to make it right. All 3 of them need to be fired. Im going to the BBB to file a complaint there too.BONNIE H.
