Service manager stated she was under staffed and short handed,. Therefore I was treated and talked to unkind. I drove from the office to my storage unit and was in able to access my unit after paying in full for monthly storage. I had to wait until the next day. Why should I as a customer have to make sure the code works? It's not my fault or responsibility to make sure it works! The company is supposed to make sue I have Clearence and access to my unit! This has caused me much inconvenience as I have to wait and to make extra trips back to the office.

I'm giving a bit higher of a rating because I know that since I had started my lease that changes were being made with management and the building it self. I do wish that it was easier to get a hold of someone when you call but with so many different phone numbers online it's hard to know which one you need to call.

We had many experiences where we were told our storage unit was unlocked and was not. We also had went recently to go get our stuff out of the unit that we had when our key no longer worked for the lock that was on our unit. We were told we had to pay someone to get it off and would be refunded for it. However that's not the case we were told they don't refund for the lock Smith coming out to do their job. We could not get ahold of any of the managers through the customer service. Very disappointed in U haul and will no longer use any of their services. We spent 170 on something I could have cut myself with my tools. I will not recommend anyone to come to Uhaul.

When I arrived for the first time, there were multiple people waiting outside who were also having trouble accessing the building. I tried contacting someone for assistance and she was very rude on the phone and seemed annoyed that I was asking for assistance. It wasn't very clear that you had to use both keypads- one for the alarm, one for the door. I ended up following someone inside and set off the alarm to my unit. That led to a call via the caller box next to the unit, which connected me to the same person that I called earlier. She "couldn't hear me" via the call box, and was again, super rude about it, so I ended up hanging up. Not a great first impression!

The entire experience was perfect. Everyone was very helpful. There was a snag on the receiving end with delivery but the office went over and above to make sure the boxed were delivered on time. I would recommend U-haul U-boxes to anyone who is moving long distance and wants a cost effective easy move. Thank you for making a difficult move easy and stress free.

Facility is very nice and well kept, however the management here is awful. I was locked out of my locker several times even though I was paid up because the housekeeper apparently put the locks on wrong lockers. Nobody at the office can ever be reached. GM is unreachable. Would not recommend.

My wife and I moved from AZ to OH. While still in AZ, Uhaul employees told me I'd receive a phone call from the Ohio Uhaul branch to schedule our drop off times. Our boxes arrived in Ohio four days before we did yet we never received a call. I had to reach out to you. As a result, we ended up having to empty our pods after work on the weekdays instead of the previous weekend as was our plan. This was already an incredibly stressful time for us and having to sleep on hardwood floors and live out of suitcases for four extra days only made it worse. The only concession your company offered by way of an apology was delivering the pods on July 4 instead of July 5. My wife and I are very disappointed and will not be using Uhaul pods again. Y'all need to work on your communication skills.

I was given a lock for my unit that was removed and replaced by someone else's lock. No explanations whatsoever. No idea who's lock or how mine was removed. Cameras on site with no investigation or explanation… I wouldn't trust my belonging here ever again. Otherwise, beautiful storage location with great possibilities with better management .

Reserved a 10'x15'x10' storage unit (confirmation # 766074-00100332) for a move in date of March 11th. When I arrived to pick up the U-Haul truck and sign the contract for the storage unit, it had been given away to another customer. I then had to rent and pay for a smaller unit that did not have enough room for our stuff, and wait several days for a 10'x10'x10' to open up so that we could move more stuff.

The only complaint I have is that the top of the boxes were all covered with dirt, That was probably because they were all open at the top and the dust and dirt came in. I felt that my items were safe And secure at u-haul West River road Elyria.

We followed directions for move in and went to put our lock on the unit it took 15 mins get the lock on due to there being something wrong with the lock. The alarm kept going off and after asking the only employee on the premises what we should do he shrugged his shoulders and said he had no idea. I got a phone call to call the office the following day and I did. The manager said I didn't properly put the lock on and unit is open. I explained it took forever for the lock to go and that there was something wrong with it. She told me to meet her there and to text her phone when I was on my way. I did text before I headed there waited 45 mins in the parking lot for a response. Finally left to go to work and I got a text back several hours later with her response saying "oh shoot I just seen this did you get it taken care ,there were two other employees on the premise" (I saw no one). This is not my first bad experience with this same manager or this uhaul location but they are the only inside unit in this area with an opening. Problem has still yet to be solved. And I'm currently paying for a unit I can't leave things in because it won't lock. And the unit is in poor condition large cracks all down the wall big enough to stick your finger through.

The storage leaked water all the time not in my unit but there was always water all over the whole storage and there were always girls out there with shop vacs trying to get it cleaned up! On my day I turned in my pictures to the main uhaul in Lorain I told them there and she called me a lier right in-front of everyone in the store and said I didn't know what I was talking about!! She was very ruin and I told her why would I lie!! She was very nasty to me!! Didn't make any sense you can call me if u would like. Merci

The movie an experience was excellent. The service was excellent appreciate that you guys provide carts, and that you can unload your stuff inside without being in the elements. One suggestion is that the garage doors should not open automatically it should be where you have to put in your key code for that as well. Other than that, I was very impressed by the way the building was set up.

I am HIGHLY upset that my monthly payment was NOT prorated on use. I made a payment and moved out 5 days later and was told (by employee on phone with manager in background)I will NOT be receiving any money in return. This is terrible business and will NEVER store my belongings there again. -lost customer

My only complaint is that when I first arrived at the self -storage to enter my unit, I found it was already being used. Someone's motorcycle was in the unit. I called Uhaul & they had to give me a smaller unit (10'x10') because they were out of the 10'x15'

When I arrived there was a lock on the storage unit that I was given so I had to call and wait on hold for 15 minutes then they hung up on me and I had to call back, then I was told that the unit would not be available until Monday so I had to pay 186! To get a bigger storage because they didn't have another one like the one I had reserved. On top of that I had to pay an extra 200 to my movers because of the time wasted on all of the extra run around and them not being able to unload soon as we arrived. This was totally unexpectable !! It was not my fault the the other person wasn't there to take their lock off of the storage before me and I had to pay all that extra money. So now my money is all hold tied up for no reason. The only issue I ever had was how very difficult it us to reach the office by phone. I ALWAYS had to go up to the office myself. They are ALWAYS busy. I personally feel they could use more help. But they were always very nice.

Reserved a 10 x 15 unit online. Followed up with phone call confirming my spot. Went to rent truck then pay for unit and was told there was no units available. Offered a 5 x 10 but wanted a 10 x 15. Found another storage unit somewhere else and got that. Recieved phone call later that 10 x 15 unit was available at west river location so took that. Filled up truck, went to west river unit only to find a personal lock on my unit. Called and offered 5 X 10 which i had to take because I'd cancelled other 10 x 15 from different business. Emptied truck but unable to fit everything in 5 x 10. You guys need to make sure unit is available before you confirm it to renters. This day was awful. Then when my son had the truck up for inspection, the older gentleman got rude because only ONE furniture pad was used and left on floor by door and was told he had to pick it up before they would finish inspection. Unbelievable......

I chose to rent here because the website advertised that I could "Rent Now" for immediate move in and access to the building. I needed a storage unit as soon as possible after an unexpected situation with my living situation. Renting a unit here was the most affordable option and I had a free month with my truck rental. I not able to access the building even after receiving my access code and unit an hour before. The building manager was not responsive even after a dozen calls in an attempt to get assistance. There should be an on-call person who's available to assist with these issues. I spent an hour and a half outside of the facility until I had to give up and find another storage facility. This was the worst experience I've had with any customer-serving business. I will never recommend anyone to utilize this facility

I picked up a 26' truck and when I got home and opened the back up and it was full of empty boxes and garbage. I was told i could either dispose of the trash myself or bring the truck back and they would clean it out. This put extra miles and gas use on for which i am paying for! I had already acquired a a 10'x10' storage unit and had another 10'x10' reserved and when I went to pay for the reserved unit I was told there was not one available. They said the only size they had available was a 5'x5' so I took it. The first one they gave me was already occupied and tagged for non payment. The second one they gave me we realized that was NOT GOING to be big enough what so ever so I asked for a bigger one. I was then given a 10'x14' and when I went to that unit there was a motorcycle parked in it! I was told that unit had been auctioned off and the motorcycle was not included in the sale. So at this point we (my movers and myself) found a 10'x10' unit that the door was open and there were no tags on it so I asked them why I couldn't have that unit. She said it hadn't been cleaned. I took it regardless. The young girl that waited on me the second time was more interested in her snack that she was eating at the counter than she was in waiting on me. This was NOT A good experience at all.

The price was good. Every time I went to my unit, the alarms kept going off. Always disarmed and rearmed my unit. My head hurt everytime I needed to attend. No one cared, I called the office, they did not care. Said they were too busy to come there. Entry bay doors were broken. I intended on a long term stay but couldn't handle the alarm siren. Moved out less than 1 month. If they don't care to respond to a phone call about alarms going off, how secure are my belongings? The north ridge road corporate store is managed by someone with the customer service skills of a child. Doesn't get her way she swears in front of customers. The west river road elyria location is managed by the north ridge road location and is reflected in the same mentality by the same manager. I will go out of my way to avoid that location and manager at all costs, you reading this should do the same. Posted October 3rd2021. Hope they fix this poor situation. It reflects poorly on Uhaul.

The manager didnt want to honor the free month storage rental. The company had to call her a couple times and tell her she had to honor it. Then they kept telling me somebody was going to call me back all day and they never did, I had to keep calling them back.

I was charged for a storage unit that I no longer have. I have NEVER GIVEN ACCESS TO AUTOPAY OR AUTHORIZATION FOR PAYMENT. THIS IS ILLEGAL TO USE MY DEBIT CARD FOR PROCESSING A PAYMENT THAT WAS NOT GIVEN PERMISSION OR NOTIFICATION. The Latina woman at the facility, who was not nice or helpful or even cared, stated there was nothing that she could do and that the manager is the one that did this. I've complained about him, Tyler, before and this is an addition to his horrible service. I moved out on the 2nd and returned my access card on the 3rd with Isiah who said I would receive confirmation but he couldn't do it personally. It states in the corporate system this as per customer service but I still couldn't be processed a refund. I had to physically go to the location after a long day of work for no reason because the woman couldn't help me. I'm disgusted, disappointed and ticked off. THIS IS EGREGIOUS AND A GROSS MISFORTUNE!

1. Your office is very understaffed. Long lines and if you call the local office you are sent to the 800 department and have to wait for a long time. 2. I have 3 units and asked for a discount due to having several. They said no. 3. Still understaffed. Pay more, get better people

I was unable to start storing anything for 3 days due to the door being broken that I was not aware of.. but other than that the building is nice and the carts are very helpful and overall the building seems to be very secure
