Dropping off the dolly was a breeze. The staff were all very professional and efficient. This site was very well organized. This where I found out that I had the wrong dolly for my car.

JUSTIN S.I liked the location and the people at the rental site. I REALLY disliked the website. I was able to use the website to reserve a truck and get a reservation number but the site locked up after "step 2" When doing after hours check in the website got stuck on the portion where you take a photo of the dashboard of the vehicle with mileage, etc. I just locked up the truck in the drop off area and put the keys in the secure drop slot. I will rent from this site again. Thank you. Erik

Thomas G.My van had been smoked in, and it smelled. The surfaces were clean, but that was a problem for being inside it. Also, your app's performance is frankly bad. It took way longer than what's acceptable to go through your check-out process. Since it's clear your site and app are done by the same group, you probably need to take a hard look at how you're running your tech operation.

Cheryl M.The only issue that I had was that they rented me the U-Haul at 3:45 in the afternoon but do U-Haul was not ready until 5 PM so when I went to return it at 5 PM the following day I got a phone call at 3:45 asking me where I was at and that I need to extend the time I said no but the employee insisted that I had to pay for another day due to I was not back at my schedule return time even though I wasn't able to pick up the U-Haul until 5 PM
Robert W.The instructions for the location of my truck were to “wordy†and confusing. It could have said, “Around the back of the main building when you enter our lot.†I'd blame it on my incompetence but, there was another guy there at the same time and he couldn't find his truck either. His was parked right next to (no exaggeration 18†away from) mine again behind the main building. We needed to walk around the truck to inspect it before driving off the lot but they were so close together you couldn't get between them. Then they were backed up to a muddy area behind the building so walking in that was fun to track into the truck.

Paula H.A woman was my agent, but not properly trained. She finally had to get the Asst. Manager to help. He had to add my Driver's License for a 4th time. He was condescending and somewhat rude. Then, when loading the trailer, we went a waited at least 5 minutes. Finally asking a guy stocking shelves - evidently not his job. Then, went inside 2 employees busy. Then, the assistant manager (who was by then ignoring me) and instructing 2 other employees on security items. He said abruptly "I called for someone" Finally, someone came. The assistant manager then barked at us to "turn off your vehicle" (we had not been asked to and promptly did. Return was super easy.
kerri S.while checkin the representative deliberately put in due date past the 24 hr mark from the checkin time, just to inflate the price to 2 days rent. I was keen to return on time i.e. before the 24 hr mark otherwise I would have charged for 2 days rent. shady business practice. I will avoid this place in future.

Kimberly M.My visit was tainted by the fact that I drove 27 miles and when I topped up the tank prior to returning the truck it took 7,1 gallons ! Obviously the prior renter did not replace the fuel used. The assistant manager to whom I returned the truck said he didn't think he could do anything about that but he would ask his boss. At the price of gas these days, U-haul needs to have a policy to reimburse customers to whom this issue pertains. My takeaway for this experience is that if I have a reason to rent a truck in the future I will refuel based on 10 miles per gallon, not "fill-er-up", just so that fuel gauge shows on the full mark. I suggested that U haul go after the previous renter but to no avail.

Had to call customer service. Eric (for after hours check-in help) and Ruth (for help with overcharges next day) in customer service were fabulous! Such great people who were helpful, put my concerns at ease and took care of business.

ROGER THOMAS T.The equipment I need to use with the truck was never left with the truck so I ended up not even taking it off there property, instead I left it to gett he following morning with the right equipment, my plans ended up getting delayed so I came to return the keys for the truck I never took off of there property, I was hoping to move my reservation to use it the next weekend or be refunded for the time it wasn't used.. But no.. I was charged for every fee under the sun so $59 bucks later and still needing a uhual not sure where id go now. But this place is EXPENSIVE AF!!!

Kristina B.When I returned the 6x12 trailer to the lot on March 17, 2022 the person at the office said they are not accepting trailers and I need to wait until March 19 (contract # 28986216). I showed him paperwork with their address and I had UNTIL March 19 to drop it off. I dropped it properly at the yard and went back to tee office to let him know and asked if he needed anything else. He grumbled, 'no'. The lot is nice and convenient for many in the Chicago area (I used it earlier in the year to move in). The attendant needs some feedback and training. JOSEPH P. | Premières impressionsUpon arrival I was told the storage unit I had reserved wasn't available. I was offered a size larger, however told I'd have to pay the difference. This was the third issue I had with U-Haul while moving this weekend. Eventually the staff ended up giving two months free instead of the 1 month free I received with my truck to help make up the difference. However, we waited over an hour while they were trying to figure out what was available. I ended up in a 10x10x6, which was more expensive and smaller than the 10x8x9 I had reserved. I wouldn't recommend U-Haul in the future.

Nobody answers the phones and the poor staff are always trying to run around to try to keep up with whatever is happening. Consider better pay / incentives to hopefully have better staff morale and better work ethic. I loathe anytime I have to use uhaul because the staff are never on the same page between days or locations. I don't understand why I couldn't finish my rental online or over the phone even though my unit was empty and I had taken the lock.

Then when I went back to the office to ask about it, she didn't seem to have any concern that one went off, which seems like the whole reason for the alarms. I also was not told during my reservation that I had an odd shaped unit, I did not find out until I arrived and was handed a map.

There should be a number to call or a sign or something to contact whoever is working. I waited over 10 minutes, 4 other customers showed up behind me, one of them left. It took less than a minute for my checkout. If you created an easy checkout online or something that would be good.
