I stored my whole house in a 10 x 15 unit and when I came to unload the unit with your UHAUL truck, It was Saturday and went to the office on Tuesday yo arrange. Your lock was put on and my locks were cut off 2. The manager lost their key, had to cut the lock off and my unit was UNSECURED for ? days!!! The the managers niece was to call me before cutting their lock so I could IMMEDIATELY SECURE MY THINGS. NO CALL OR TEXT. I finally called Sat and was told it had been cut off DAYS PRIOR!!! I had a male employee take us to that location 6 blocks away on Hwy 98 near LRMC at 6pm was dark and WE all found NO LOCK ON MY UNIT!!!! He was embarrrassed and apologized!! He knew that was a HUGE mistake. A few days after I filed a complaint/loss with your UHAUL.COM. I have been very sick and have not been advised by phone, text or email of my CLAIM. That was 10/2024. I urgently request a contact from UHAUL to continue my LOSS. MY daughter, Stephanie is helping manage this. Kathryn G | Expérience généraleGood overall. Just got annoying at times when they'd like once a year start mass messaging me about the monthly payment. Payment that I always paid. Then after hurricane Milton, one of the access doors took a really long time to be fixed. Still wasn't fixed when I was moving out and Milton was nearly 2 months prior. Not having the thick glass in the door and only some plywood would make it easy to break in if someone wanted to. Lastly, it'd be really cool if Uhaul, the corporate aspect, didn't help fund genocide across the globe. Which once I found this out was the main reason I moved out. I don't want my monthly storage money being used to kill people enmasse.

Mary Ann and Evelyn went above and beyond to assist us and to assure us because we accidentally placed our belonging in the wrong storage unit. I appreciate them so much! Their customer service was beyond the norm! I will definitely recommend this U-Haul facility to anyone and be using it again!!! Thank you, U-Haul!!

LISA N | Expérience généraleUpon arrival to the facility, I tried accessing the building, and when I punched in my access code provided, a message on the secruity box said I need to check in first. Nowhere in the email instructions said anything about checking in. When I called the Uhaul customer service line, no one answered on mulitiple attempts, the automated line played music for a couple minutes and then just went silent. I drove over to the sister Uhaul facility down the road, and they couldn't help me, and just said there are issues like this all the time. I drove back to my facility, and tried the code on the other door, and realized that the door lock wasn't even activated, it just let me in the door without a code. Just to make sure it wasn't a glitch, I closed the door again and opened it without a code. This to me is a breach in contract, I was promised a secure building, and obviously this one is not secure, anyone can just walk in. Disappointed to say the least.

Storage unit was clean and came with disc style padlock. Very secure with keypad check-in. Staff were knowledgeable and very helpful and friendly. Overall experience was exceptional. Would not hesitate recommending to others. Thank you for making this aspect of relocating to the area a positive one.

Simons S | Déménagement en ligneFor starters it's not temperature controlled. Secondly the amount of roach infestation was pretty big. Most of them were dead but thankfully it did not affect my items in storage. Since Florida has horrible humidity I would expect the area would be cared for as best as possible regarding infestation. I also found a couple of silverfish in my boxes that were taped and closed. There were some that were open and naturally the silver fish were there but the point is infestation for both silver fish and roaches was pretty bad. I had to make sure I didn't take any of those bugs with me to my apartment because it was pretty bad. All in all for convenience it's ok. But care for the infestation problem and I might reconsider.

Nothing wrong with the facility, but really not happy about telling me one thing, and then having to pay for the storage unit.

Anaiah B | Déménagement en ligneIn the first month of my rental, I was wrongfully accused of living in my storage unit and was locked out, unable to access my tools for work. I asked them to produce any video of me living there and they could not. After notifying corporate, the matter was supposedly resolved several weeks later and I was told I had resumed normal access. Wrong. The lock was still on and it took another call to corporate before it was removed. They ended up giving me a free months rent because the vast majority of the month I was locked out. Several months later my rent was past due. They again put a lock on my unit...understandably so...and charged me late fees. Two weeks after bringing my account up to date the lock was still on and it took another call to management to finally get it removed. Ive been a customer of U-Haul for more than 40 years but after this experience I will NEVER again use their services and will recommend to all of my friends to find alternate sources of storage. Corporate U-Haul needs to replace the management team effective immediately or face more complaints such as this. There is no excuse for that type of behavior at any level in the business world. As a Veteran, I am appalled that it continues to this day.

The only problem I had was that every day the office opens at 9 and a lot of the time it wasn't open at all so I would have to go to the other facility to get a hold of someone who works there. I know that they are understaffed right now though so I can say that they are doing the best they can.

Michelle M | Expérience généraleMy one and only complaint, and I never expected it, is the cockroaches I observed in this facility. A brand new facility, loaded with cockroaches. I rented 2 units, as soon as I opened the doors, cockroaches. During my last visit, I noticed a cockroach climbing the exterior wall of a unit near the exit. I now have an added expense of having to isolate my contents offsite and tent the entire contents before I move them into my new home. Otherwise the service is great!

I end up having to call and sit on hold for almost an hour just to explain (again) that I can't pay because their system says I have no storage, wait as they look it up, then pay, and then have them tell me that it won't happen again. connie gThe lady in the office was rudeness and not customer focused. As I waited, she was on the phone with another customer and she continued to roll her eyes at the customer on the phone. She was not very welcoming. The trailer was dirty and I didn't notice until I arrived at my destination to pick new furniture up. I had nothing with me to clean it. There was a lot of sawdust, a few bolts, and a syringe in the trailer. The syringe was very concerning and I didn't want to touch it. When I dropped the trailer off, I pulled up to the equipment return. One worker was unhooking another trailer in front of me. I was not acknowledged by either worker that was outside. Once the guy ahead of me left, I sat there for approximately 10 minutes without being told any direction. Two people arrived after me to fill their propane tanks, and they were helped before I was. Finally, one of the workers unhooked my trailer. I have used U-Haul a lot at another location before moving to Lakeland and I have never had such poor customer service or dirty equipment. It will be hard for me to want to use this location again.

She was very rude an shouted it across the room I was still at the front door when she told me to wait out. I didn't get her name but I returned the truck @6pm on 4/15/2020 so whoever the person is she was working that day.

Also, I feel it is an invasion of privacy, requiring an additional person to contact, "in case of emergency." Just rent the item to me. Otherwise, you have a good reputation. Merci.
James CThe woman at the front desk was extremely slow, extremely unhelpful and very condescending. She wasted 2 hours booking me a unit that was not big enough for my storage needs. I asked to see the unit before I made any purchases she refused to show me anything. So I ended up going down the street to another storage facility after my refund was processed and I was in and out. Sorry uhaul but I'll never use your services again.

The trcks felt like it was going to fall apart, the steering wheel was not center, it took everything in me to keep it straight on the road. I have been here before and this is the worst experience I've ever had. I can look pass the truck but the ladies attitude was absolutely appalling.
jose rMake certain the online information translates to real time action. There was extensive issues obtaining our UBox. Also, I called the requisite 24 hours before my desired pick-up of the box. I had a friend take time out of his day to be there at the appointed time (10AM). He was told the box not ready. In fact, the box was not ready for more than 4 hours later. I couldn't apologize enough to him for the disruption of his day.

How er I was over charged and these were never adjusted I'm very disappointed U-Haul for my rental please look into this matter and contact me I would greatly appreciate it if we could discuss this tragedy experience thank you
Lori LExcellent service à la clientèle. The cargo van I rented was clean, had a full tank and seemed to be well maintained. Definitely recommend this location, and will use again, should the need arises.
Elizabeth KOn this locations website it states you can access your storage unit from 5am-10pm every day. Yesterday, 4/2 I went at 8:30pm and the gates were locked with padlocks. I called the main customer service number and the manager of the Lakeland facility stated it is only open until 7pm. I have screenshots of what their website states. I want some of my money refunded.

She was having to help all those that showed up in person, as well as having to answer the phone every time it rang. She did an outstanding job, but she should've had someone else in there with her. An employee should not have to work under such stressful atmosphere. She did an outstanding job while I was there though.
