I would only suggest that renters be given the suggestion to totally seal boxes, including hand holes when moving in. No matter how much effort is taken by management, the units are outside so bugs and even mice can gain access. Other than that, no issues with water or other storage problems.

When I walked into the store I didn't get a warm welcoming vibe. No one greeted me nor smiled, so it kinda gave an eerie vibe. But when I finally walked up to the counter, I learned that rules have changed in regard to renting, I guess it's been a while. But being that I didn't get the welcoming vibe in the beginning, these new changes gave for a bad taste, making my experience even worse. Now it seems a picture of not only your drivers license front and back but also a personal snap shot of you is needed. Odd but I did it. Then the representative quickly brought up some terms and asked about purchasing insurance for my rental and of course I purchased it. Then I left, not expecting my day with the rental to be dooms day. I somehow had a freak minor accident where I ended up caught in mud. The truck would not budge, at the time I thought nothing of it, because I knew I paid an extra $14 for insurance. I called it in and I found out quickly that if I misplaced the truck keys, or got stuck in the mud it is NOT covered under the insurance. I would have had to purchase roadside assistance for an additional $5 to be covered for these types of services. But in my case, this service was not mentioned to me during my transaction, so I really did not know. BIG mistake, because I was soon quoted a price of $415 out pocket expense if they had to tow me out. I was highly annoyed and really anxious because this was already a bummer to be stuck and now have to pay so much money. But I thought that I would call the store to ask for them to add the roadside assistance to my now extended purchase. now that I was stuck in the mud, I now have to rent the truck for more time, starting a whole new order. And while starting a new order, I explained that I was not told about the roadside service, although I did not get into real detail on why I wanted it at this point. But the representative explained she would ask her manager if it was something they could do, being that the service was not explained and being that we are starting a whole new order. She later told me that the manager would not make the exception, nor did the manager ask to speak with me. I thought that perhaps the manager May had Wanted to find out why I might have been requesting this service. But I guess not because It was just a NO. I felt like the manager had no care about me as a customer and the representative apologized that she did not go over that service with me but there was nothing they could do for me. Overral, this was a horrible experience. Very stressful and I could not get any real help in this situation. Know one truly cared. There later on was some nice gestures when dropping the truck but I was unhappy about the beginning and other things

The transmission barely shifted. There was no broom to sweep.out the truck and I was charged $25 to clean it.

My unit #3880 was rat infested. All my properties was damaged. Extremely disheartening and disappointed

It really bothered me that this company doesn't prorate. It would be so much helpful to every customer if we were able to do move our storage out and be charged for the days that we use. I heard storage units can be prorated if a customer is using the unit against company's policy, but to know a customer can't use that option doesn't make sense.

Had an issue with the gas. I think they should take pictures better than showing it in the paper. I got charged 27 dollars extra. I would blame my self too by not taking a picture. But other than that i was good.

The problem is your email communication and website reservations are loaded with spam and advertising including third party contact that invade customer with unwarranted emailing and tracking. I'd strongly erge you to update your email communication policy and discontinue this form of advertisement as it is deemed to be harmful and a nuisance.

Rented unit for close to two years. Easy set up of unit, easy check out. Accessible when need without problems. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent service à la clientèle. Overall pleasant experience.

Best location to rent a Uhaul Thank you

Angie was wonderful, she was full of information Helped me understand everything I may need for my move. Every time I went into Uhaul she greeted me with a smile. The staff was right on top of helping carry out the boxes for me to my car. I would tell all my friends to us this location for there needs.

The staff here was polite, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I had issues with smoothness of opening unit door but in all , it works out...I do have arthritis- so trying to pull a slightly bent or rusted door was more difficult. The cost made UHaul a best value!

The driver side floor was a little dirty when I returned the truck. My shoes got muddy. I felt bad. I didn't have anything to clean it. After I handed the key to Maria it didn't seem to be a problem and she said ‘have a nice day!' A++

Good location, and 2 gas stations are very close by to fill up. The truck was clean and worked fine. Easy drop off with no problems.

we ave used storage facilities in several locations all over the country and rate this site very highly. The staff was helpful, the facility welk lit and clean. When we vacated we rented a truck and that too was without problem. I would recommend them highly.

Train the staff to calculate mileage and pay attention!! I had to take truck routes, obviously, and I had to pay for 'extra' miles. She also entered the wrong drop off location (Broomall, PA) but gave me a printout of the location I requested (Harleysville, PA). And then you tried to bill me for it. Wtf.

I think it's outrageous incredibly expensive. If you're paying already for a truck 19,29,49 I understand also paying for gas but also paying for mileage. Then you shouldn't charge $19 or $29 or $49. Just let people know you're going to charge $100 and let it be. 40 miles 99 cents a mile plus you also have to put gas back into the truck. Outrageous.

Really!! I rented on Thursday and cancelled my rental on Saturday morning and was told that even though I had moved nothing into the rental and had taken a temporary lock from the manager that I would still be charged for the month. So, I am essentially giving a $202 donation to UHaul storage for not using the unit and am asked to give a review??? Beyond disgusting!!

Alot of properties had to be be thrown out because I discovered alot of mice feces in the unit rental. I pay a monthly insurance during the storage rental for 9months and yet have to be compensated.

I had a really poor experience with U-Haul. I had to move from Nashville to Boston and rented a ten foot truck. The location I originally selected in nashville to pick up the truck got changed to another location in nashville. This wouldn't be a huge deal for a lot of people but i could only pick up the truck after office hours at night and the location that I picked is much safer (well lit, location, etc) compared to the location U-Haul changed it to. When I went to go pick up the truck it was dark out and the parking lot was super dark and there were four or five lingering men hanging out around the truck. I wasn't safe. Then, I had to do the online check in to actually get the truck and the U-Haul website And the app were not working. I was out there by myself in the dark for thirty minutes waiting for the site to work as Im trying to not draw any attention to myself. But Im an alone woman in a parking lot so of course it got the mens attention. I was worried about my safety. Not okay. Eventually I get the truck and make the drive to Boston. I reserved a storage unit when I booked my truck and had a reservation number for the storage unit. I get to U-Haul storage And they say I don't have a reservation. I pull up my reservation confirmation And the number and they say it's not a reservation. Oh….my bad….I thought me paying $200 for storage and the email header of "your storage unit is reserved" means I had a storage unit. Also- when I go to drop off my truck the app and website (you guessed it!) werenot working again. I'm a 27 year old who knows how to operate technology. I don't know how anyone in my parents generation would be able to trouble shoot this if they were in my shoes with the truck rental. your online systems absolutely suck. I won't use U-Haul again and won't recommend it. That stinks for you guys because all my friends are moving! Definitely not worth the $800 I spent…especially when my safety was threatened.

The manager had breached the contract and limited my access to the unit,BEWARE OF THIS MANAGER SHE'S A DIRT BAG, BUT THE OTHER STAFF ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KIND, I recommend you go to Oakland st instead all the staff there are great

Over all good place to rent a storage unit. The thing that is missing is the access to the dumpster. I was not allowed to put any of my broken down cardboard boxes and swept up items after move out into the dumpster. So I was left to cart it out myself.

There was a water leak at the base of the units' door. It wasn't fixed while I was renting the unit. A maintenance individual looked at it, but it never got fixed. I explained where the issue was, and was told that they will look into it. Other than that, great exoerience, great staff.

One of the problems with U-Haul they want you to buy their lock and early leads me to believe the locks they want you to buy they have a key for I put my own lock on and put their lock on my lock that way I know nobody’s going in there but me I also didn’t like that when I went to my storage unit which was once every 2 to 3 months that their card when I swiped it to open the gate would never work it seemed like an ongoing problem Other than that I would use them again in an emergency for storage but you have Everything you need for moving The good thing about U-Haul it’s a safe and secure place.
